There's no table service, you have to set your table and clear it at the end, but the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is great, portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. The ambience is casual and relax. We really enjoyed our lunch and we will go again to try other dishes. Recommended.

We started with a platter of Chiusdino cured meats as an appetizer: excellent quality cured meats, perfectly flavored, fresh, and accompanied by delicious cave cheese. A true delight to fill your stomach. For our second course, we chose wild boar creamed in Chianti, a typical dish executed to perfection: the meat was incredibly tender, the sauce rich and fragrant, with that intense, enveloping flavor that only slow cooking can provide. A generous portion and meticulous presentation. All accompanied by a simply excellent red wine (Rogaio): balanced and perfect with the dishes. Friendly and attentive service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fair prices for the quality offered. We will definitely be back, highly recommended for those who love authentic Tuscan cuisine! Thanks for a wonderful day!!

27/12/2025: We had lunch here during a short visit to Volterra. We ordered two appetizers and a 1.5 kg Florentine steak, carefully displayed before cooking and served with a side of baked potatoes and delicious spinach. The service began with a small welcome appetizer: a crostini with caramelized onions and confit tomatoes. We stayed full until breakfast the next day. The prices were reasonable for the service and food, especially recommended for a lunch or dinner for two. The staff were very courteous and attentive.

18/01/2026: I have to tell you this. Last night, following a friend's advice, I went with my partner Elena to this well-known bar located in a celebrated historic building on the Lungarno, a building and bar steeped in Risorgimento history, a bar that recently changed ownership. We were planning on having a prosecco before dinner, for which we were slightly early. It was a few minutes before 8:00 PM. I entered the bar and felt strangely observed by the wonderful eyes of the young, very young bartender. A few steps after entering: "Good evening, do you have a table reserved?" "No." "Would you like a coffee?" "No, we wanted two proseccos." "Look, we close at 8." This insistent back-and-forth was over before I even reached the counter. We turned around, obviously surprised, and left. What else to say? There were customers sitting at at least five tables.

The service is impeccable: friendly, professional, and always available, the staff puts guests at ease and offers excellent dish recommendations. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, perfectly in line with the level of experience offered. Pepe Rosa is more than just a restaurant, it's a truly memorable gastronomic experience. Highly recommended! I'll definitely be back.

17/11/2025: I stumbled upon it by chance, already fearing the worst (given its location right next to Piazza dei Miracoli), but it was a pleasant surprise. The assortment of antipasti is amazing, their version of peposo is delicious, and the apple dessert is a classic, incredibly good. But, to quote a saying from a TV show, their "plus" is the host: he explains each dish with expertise and enthusiasm. I'd like to see more like him. I like to know what I'm eating and where it comes from (since I love eating local). I'll keep it in mind in case I ever end up in Pisa again.

26/11/2025: Found this restaurant by chance, what an amazing place. Atmosphere was sensational and the food was amazing the taste was to die for 👏. The Moroccan chef Kabira came out to talk to us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction and our waiter Hector made our dining experience super pleasant and memorable. Would highly recommend to dine here, whether for a causal lunch or a romantic evening.
