09/11/2025: Unlike most other cafés there is no menu on the wall - for good reason: a cappuccino is 3,50€. We have not paid more than 1,80€ in any other place in Lucca. On top of that the milk was steamed way too hot, the result is a flat cappuccino that has lost all its taste. The place does not look like a tourist trap at all, but it is. There are tons of better caffès in the city with not just normal prices but also better drinks. Being confronted with inflated prices when paying just feels like being ripped off. To their credit: the menus on the table show the prices…we come to Italy often and never had to check „hidden“ prices for a coffee before - you do here.

09/12/2025: Terrible experience, high prices and low quality....if I order a Florentine steak I expect at least that the size is confirmed before cooking and then an 800g Florentine steak (including bone) has very little meat left attached to the bone...be careful.

08/12/2025: Don’t listen to anyone rating this restaurant poorly I’ve been in Florence for 4 months and this is my favorite place to dine, from the burger to lasagna, everything is amazing, great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. The only people giving bad reviews didn’t specifically communicate on their steak weight, which is understandable. Great service great food. GREAT LASAGNA!

03/12/2025: Bad service stale pastries, they were hard and obviously stale but when I told the staff serving, she swore it was today's I told the cashier she said it was today's like a mantra kept repeating its today's without tasting or offering an alternative no respect for the customers. When I say it's stale it is stale, I'm the one eating it!!! €10 euros for 2 espresso & 2 stale pieces of sponge with castor sugar on top standing at the bar area. Never again The worst service and the worst pastries. Quality very bad I do not advise anyone to eat here overpriced and poor quality food. Very 😞 disappointed

13/10/2025: I used to come here occasionally for coffee and breakfast. The last time I was there, I ordered a Double Espresso. They charged me €2.60 for two espressos. Having lived in Italy for over a decade, a double espresso is usually around €1.80 for one espresso plus a few cents. They really thought I was a tourist from China. What's the point of ripping me off like that? I gave it a 5-star review, but it was a waste.

18/07/2025: Bellissimo locale storico con tavolini all' aperto sotto un bel portico in pieno centro, prodotti ottimi sia dolci che salati. Forse il servizio non proprio velocissimo e il personale non troppo simpatico, ma si chiude un occhio.

Addormentarmi sulla sedia, ma poi la proprietaria è venuta dirci che non potevamo dormire davanti al locale. È forse perché le abbiamo fatto fare brutta figura? sgradevole. I didn't expect to fall asleep on the chair, but then the owner came and told us we couldn't sleep in front of the shop. Was it because we embarrassed her? Did she feel ashamed? I never expected such an unpleasant attitude from a bar owner. We were customers, we paid for our drinks—so what if we accidentally fell asleep? What a ridiculous owner. As a tourist, I felt truly humiliated in this bar. The female owner kicked us out. 03/09/2025: Small but very pleasant Ocal. A good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Very good service, and especially the cappuccino and croissant were delicious. Highly recommended.

05/12/2025: One star because the opening hours don't match. We found it closed for the second time.

07/12/2025: I didn't know it was a "Sicilian" place, so I ordered baked anelletti and eggplant caponata... and it was like eating them in Palermo; then I discovered the restaurant's history... Go there and you'll be as surprised as I was!

04/12/2025: I went here for an aperitivo: excellent food and plenty of choices for all tastes. The staff was friendly and quick with their service. Beautiful location, right in front of the Arco della Pace. Recommended!

19/06/2025: Piacevole ritorno dopo 4 anni in quello che viene considerato il miglior ristorante stellato della costiera degli Etruschi. Qui la materia prima la fa da padrone perché viene trattata secondo i dettami della tradizione. Un plauso anche alla gentilezza e simpatia del personale. Bravi perché da anni con fatica e dedizione siete sempre in vetta.

24/07/2025: I ordered a cake for my birthday. Raffaele is extremely helpful and very professional! I highly recommend him.

28/04/2025: Since the change of management it is nothing more than a classic Chinese bar, despite the Italian facade. Pastries more than two days old, rancid cream, burnt cappuccino. I won't go back there again.

09/09/2025: Me and two friends were looking for a quick afternoon coffee and a snack. We just found that coffee Shop an sat down even though it was rather empty. The waitress happened to oversee us and we lingered around quite sometime, then she was very rude and impolite, giving us the impression of mass processing. The hot dogs were very dry, the coffee was mid. All in all we lost more than an hour for a very unsatisfactory experience. I do not recommend it.

09/09/2025: The restaurant was completely empty but still we only received our coffee after 50 minutes. The waitress was extremely unfriendly and I would not recommend going there.
