09/03/2026: Wanted to catch a quick break before discovering beautiful Firenze, and had the staff of this place touting and offering to sit at their place. Once we sat and ordered sweets and drinks, one of the waiters wasn't really happy with our choice (my guess), started being rude and questioning us why we sat there and not to some other table even though nobody told us anything about seating requirements nor the amount of food required to order. The same waiter kept pouting and acting unavailable when we tried getting his attention for further orders, so we decided to pay our bill and leave since we felt unwelcome. Typical tourist trap behavior. Can't recommend this place to anyone.

19/02/2026: Ripped off! We ordered a typical Florentine meat dish at this restaurant. The restaurant advertised its meat specialties prominently, the presentation seemed professional, and the service was knowledgeable. However, the quality of the meat was disappointing: very tough and not at all convincing in terms of flavor. The Chianti we ordered with it (€7 per glass) was average. The bill was particularly problematic: we were charged for 1.4 kg of meat. We received no prior information about the exact quantity or the expected total price. The weight was neither displayed on the table nor was the cost clearly explained. The bill came to approximately €160. Besides the meat, we only had bread, one side dish, and a shared appetizer (arugula salad with burrata). Transparency is essential in the restaurant industry – especially with dishes sold by weight. It's not about the money. We're happy to pay for quality. But not for an opaque and questionable bill. It's not about the money. Unfortunately, what remains is an unpleasant aftertaste – and an impression of Florence that is characterized by rip-offs.

12/11/2025: A wonderful place to enjoy a light meal and the lovely piazza. Food: The menu is concise and tailored to the restaurant's capabilities. The small dishes are excellently prepared and beautifully presented. I think the value for money is great. Service: There's still some room for improvement. The waiters/waitresses are friendly, but not particularly attentive. Atmosphere: The café thrives on its outdoor seating area, which is very inviting. Simple tables and chairs. But that's all it needs. Inside, it was too loud for me (the music).

24/02/2026: Sunday, 4:00 PM. After stopping at the bar with other guys (5 people in total, 3 motorcycles), we got up and headed to the vehicles to leave. After getting ready, we started the motorcycles ready to go, but 15 seconds later, an employee (I don't know who he is, I just know he's probably Neapolitan) strongly ordered us to leave because "we were polluting the atmosphere and disturbing the customers" (3 new Euro 5 motorcycles). Not understanding what he said, I turned around to see what he was saying, and the man in question came face to face with me, saying something similar to "what are you looking at, go ahead." Understanding the situation and seeing his attitude, I replied that I was about to leave, just long enough to let the oil circulate in the engine, and then he repeated the order to go, even waving at me. Seemingly surreal, and taken aback, I accelerated, and once we reached the roundabout, the person riding with me pointed out that the guy was chasing us. I truly have no words to describe how they can treat these kids, who were customers, for so little. If people's patience and kindness is like this, the world will only end up worse, and I say this with all my goodness. (PS: I tried to explain everything calmly, but you can imagine the scene and how we felt at the time. I will never return and will definitely advise against it, even though I feel sorry for the rest of the employees.)

07/01/2026: Pizzeria on the promenade. The pizza used to be good, but I think pizzerias don't exist anymore.

22/09/2025: Service: The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves. The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available. We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge? Food: The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge? The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. We had to return it because it was inedible.

26/08/2025: Very nice shopping center, with all the popular transportation options. Very clean. All kinds of services. Plenty of underground parking.

17/08/2025: Absolutely negative. I was told I couldn't enter or consume outside. Ok. The door was open with a sign inside saying "Green Pass Only." I walked in and the person running the bar, a lady, rudely kicked me and my three-year-old son out. He was also in dire need of a pee. The rudeness of some people knows no bounds. People should use their brains before opening their mouths, as they need to develop common sense! I'll definitely look into this to see if it's okay. I highly recommend this place. I then changed bars and finally found normal, polite, and kind people. As soon as I'm in Livorno, I'll come back to say hello in my own way.

Addormentarmi sulla sedia, ma poi la proprietaria è venuta dirci che non potevamo dormire davanti al locale. È forse perché le abbiamo fatto fare brutta figura? sgradevole. As a tourist, I felt truly humiliated in this bar. The female owner kicked us out. I thought I was just tired after a long day of traveling, so on a friend's recommendation, we came here to have a coffee and rest for a while. I didn't expect to fall asleep on the chair, but then the owner came and told us we couldn't sleep in front of the shop. Was it because we embarrassed her? Did she feel ashamed? I never expected such an unpleasant attitude from a bar owner. We were customers, we paid for our drinks—so what if we accidentally fell asleep? What a ridiculous owner. As a tourist, I felt truly humiliated in this bar. The female owner kicked us out. 17/09/2025: This place is a scam. Please stay away. The old waitress is a terrible person. They robbed us of our handbag and threatened us not to ask any questions. We filed a police complaint.

19/06/2025: Piacevole ritorno dopo 4 anni in quello che viene considerato il miglior ristorante stellato della costiera degli Etruschi. Qui la materia prima la fa da padrone perché viene trattata secondo i dettami della tradizione. Un plauso anche alla gentilezza e simpatia del personale. Bravi perché da anni con fatica e dedizione siete sempre in vetta.

26/12/2025: I tried rice and chicken, their typical dish of the very good cuisine, besides kabab, they make other things, highly recommended.

16/03/2026: Highly recommended for a lunch stop if you're in Lucca. The "La Spenta" stuffed focaccia from Lucca is excellent, with grilled vegetables in oil and very fresh mozzarella. Delicious and crunchy. All washed down with a Spritz! Viviana, the entire staff, and the owner Giovanni and his mother, who offered us a digestive, were very friendly. Our rating is 10+1.

15/02/2026: A truly embarrassing experience. We went for a simple gin and tonic and found ourselves subjected to rude and annoyed behavior when it came to asking for the bill. The woman who introduced herself as the owner responded rudely and arrogantly, for no reason at all. When I calmly pointed out the inappropriate tone, the situation escalated further. The most surprising thing is that the same treatment was meted out to customers after us. Reading other people's reviews, I discovered that this wasn't an isolated incident but a recurring pattern. A place thrives on customers: treating them with condescension and arrogance is the fastest way to lose them. Respect should be the foundation, especially if you claim to be the owner. As you replied, "I've been doing this job for 30 years," I think it's time for you to leave because you don't know how to deal with the public. You've also made your employees uncomfortable with your behavior.

22/11/2025: Absolutely unmissable: warm atmosphere, welcoming staff, and competitive prices. When I pass through Florence, it's a must-stop. There's even a bathroom.

13/10/2025: I used to come here occasionally for coffee and breakfast. The last time I was there, I ordered a Double Espresso. They charged me €2.60 for two espressos. Having lived in Italy for over a decade, a double espresso is usually around €1.80 for one espresso plus a few cents. They really thought I was a tourist from China. What's the point of ripping me off like that? I gave it a 5-star review, but it was a waste.

07/02/2026: I find myself giving it two stars not for the quality of the products, but for the place and its maintenance. I hadn't stopped there in a while, and I was a little disappointed. There wasn't a good smell in the air, and they served me a cappuccino in a cup with a broken and glued-back handle, very unsightly. The saucer they placed the donut on was old, with worn, dark edges, and the marks of time. It's clear they were old items, but they shouldn't be used. I understand everything, except that. The fact that it's frequented by shady people doesn't seem to be the fault of the managers, but everything else mentioned above is.

23/12/2025: I chose the rice pudding, which in my opinion is the softest I've ever found, tasty and crumbly. Excellent, well-made, good flavor. Great, I'll be back. They also offer many other varieties of pastries.
