Caffe Maioli In Firenze

Look, I get the 1 star reviews, scammy pricing and not letting you see the price until you've got ice cream in your hand, but my god the serving size was humungous and the ice cream was really nice, I got Oreo and the ice cream was great and it had HEAPS of Oreo chunks, if you want an extremely expensive but delicious ice cream, go here

I have no idea what the ice cream was like, I didn't have any. But I did have a very good lemon-filled croissant for €2.50.

I wanted to review because despite all of the negative reviews, we had a wonderful experience! We went here each morning over the four days we were in Florence and it was the perfect stop for our morning espresso and pastry. There was no scamming, no negatives. The pastries were delicious and the espresso was strong. We had the same person serve us each day and he was personable with greetings and on our last day he recognized us and wished us safe travels. We stood at the bar to start each day and it was always good. It’s now part of our wonderful memories of Florence and the neighborhood we stayed in.

Super hot day and crowded but the staff were nice and allowed us to use their restroom without buying anything. I appreciate this type of customer service. Ended up buying some drinks. Upstairs is a nice place to rest and enjoy some treats or coffee.

Honestly, these were some of the best gelatos I’ve ever had. The flavour, the texture, even the cone — absolutely delicious. The portions are huge, which is definitely worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the prices are also extremely high, and nowhere could we find clear information about how much the gelato actually costs. Transparency matters, especially when the prices are significantly above average. The service was not particularly friendly either. Not quite the warm, joyful experience you expect from a gelateria during a summer holiday in Italy — especially at this price point. Amazing gelato. The overall experience, unfortunately, could be much better.

Caffé Maioli is a great place to stop for something cold while exploring Florence, especially on a hot summer day. They have a wide selection of gelato, granita, and other refreshing treats, so there are plenty of options to choose from. We ordered a large granita for €5 and asked for a mix of lemon and cola flavors. It was incredibly refreshing, icy, and perfect after spending hours walking around the city. The combination of the two flavors worked surprisingly well and was not overly sweet. The café is in a convenient location, making it an easy place to take a short break before continuing your sightseeing. The service was quick, and despite the number of customers, we didn't have to wait long. Overall, if you're looking for a refreshing drink or dessert in the center of Florence, Caffé Maioli is definitely worth a visit. The variety, reasonable prices, and delicious flavors made it one of our favorite stops during the day.

We happened to go in for ice cream. On the top floor, we were greeted by Iris, who was very friendly and welcoming. When she learned we were Turkish, she served us delicious desserts and ice cream accompanied by Turkish songs. We enjoyed it very much. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

We had two coffees, a cappuccino, and three gelatos (a large family). The staff was friendly and polite, the place was clean, the products were good, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean and fragrant. Prices were in line with other cafes in the area.

Very relaxing ambience, the gelatto, coffees and macedonia we ordered were delicious and the views from the upstairs sitting area were really nice. The waitress was very kind, changed my latte for an iced one without any bother and gave us some tips to enjoy our treats even better!! Would definitely go back :3
