Caffe Monica In Lucca

We had dinner here yesterday before seeing a show at the Lucca Summer Festival. The location is very central and the service is fast. All the stars go to the waitress, Giada, who was very kind. She recommended the platters (good and very generous), and served us with kindness and warmth. This is important for those who want to relax and enjoy a lovely evening, and especially not a given, given that her colleague, annoyed at having to find us a table, practically rudely threw the ashtray on the table (we don't even smoke!). Ignoring the rude gesture, the overall rating is positive: the platters were good, and the rest of the staff was courteous.

We had lunch with a good quality "focaccia Lucchese" and the service was friendly and pleasant! I recommend it.

We stopped here on a very hot day in June, and we were very happy to sit outside in the shade and the breeze on the beautiful patio! Liviana and Aurora were both so friendly and helpful with answering our questions and providing great service. And, with all due respect to anyone’s mother or grandmother, we had the absolute best lasagna of our entire lives! Lucca is one of our favorite Italian cities, and next time we’re visiting we will return for another lasagna lunch. Ciao!

Giò's Barino is a very friendly and down-to-earth place. Giovanni has a great time chatting with everyone, and the girls who work with him are wonderful. The focaccias are delicious; I love them because they're perfectly crispy, and there's a wide selection. The cocktails are top-notch! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant evening.

The food was amazing and our server Sara was very helpful and accommodating.
