10/10/2024: Stasera avevo proprio voglia di un panino alla piastra fatto bene e ho proposto a Letizia di andare Al Vecchio Chiosco da Roberto. Abbiamo mangiato un Hot-dog, un Brasiliano, un Vikingo e una Piadina alla Nutella. I panini e la piadina erano croccanti, ben piastrati e farciti con ingredienti freschi e di qualità. Abbiamo bevuto due birre: una Ichnusa e una Birra dello Stretto rossa. Roberto è stato, come sempre, gentilissimo e il conto è stato più che onesto. Raccomandatissimo!

05/05/2025: VERY NEGATIVE experience (zero stars). We enter the bar, ask for two coffees with two glasses of mineral water and to use the bathroom. In the meantime, I go over to pay for the coffees (1.50 euros each without a receipt) and I hear that my wife was complaining to the barista that the mineral water served was at room temperature (hot). Alternatively, we ask for the fresh one and the owner brings us a 1/2 liter bottle and charges us 1.50 euros. I approach the cashier again to pay, but this time we ask for the receipt. He replied angrily that he could ask, if he wanted, to pay 1 euro for using the bathroom (naturally it wasn't paid and I used it anyway). I would like to point out, from personal EXPERIENCE, that: 1) the receipt is due by law; 2) the glass of mineral water, in this case fresh, always supports the coffee, is free and is a gesture of kindness; 3) being a public establishment you cannot ask for payment for using the bathroom, which is in a pitiful state. Now, dear owner or whoever, courtesy, correctness, availability and hospitality towards customers, in this case tourists, must be primary for anyone who manages a commercial business. Try to learn from your other Messina colleagues, to whom I applaud for everything I didn't find in his practice.

29/10/2024: Il locale è grazioso ed è posto nei pressi del Teatro "Vittorio Emanuele". Il servizio è stato insufficiente, ma ci è stato fatto notare che alle 23 "eravamo arrivati tutti insieme", tuttavia il tempo di attesa è stato di gran lunga superiore ad ogni aspettativa. I piatti erano sufficienti ed i prezzi erano nella media.
