03/07/2024: Maleducati, ordini, ti siedi fuori a rilassarti un po’, nemmeno il tempo di consumare e ti senti alle spalle trascinare sedie a modo di cafoni per tutto il locale, ti invitano in pratica ad andare via. Tutto questo alle 22 e 45. Cafoni. Se volessi recensire il gelato che ho gustato devo dire che quelli da supermercato sono molto più buoni. Come si suol dire… ognuno lavora con i propri ferri…, ma, voi, a parte avere ferri scarsi siete irrispettosi verso le persone civili.

24/08/2024: Having booked a table for a simple after dinner, we arrive and sit down and are totally ignored by the staff despite repeated requests to order. After waiting in vain, we left. Service 0.
14/08/2024: Large, open space restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining,, very family friendly.
Good menu with wide selection of European and evidently Italian specialities,, with tastes to match most needs.
Service can be a little slow when it is busy, and it may be advisable to reserve a table for larger groups at weekends.
It is not romantic, but it is perfect for families looking for a good night out. Parking may be an issue….

20/08/2024: We are on holiday in Palermo and, exhausted from walking, we decided to have 2 sandwiches with home delivery service at the hotel. Well what can I say...wonderful sandwiches, one was worth two! Abundant seasoning and competitive prices, as well as punctual service. I didn't know this but I have to say I got it right! My compliments

06/08/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante che è in cima al centro abitato di Marettimo, in una terrazza affacciata sul mare.
I piatti, di pesce e di terra, sono stati davvero molto buoni e le porzioni abbondanti.
Le busiate al Carrubo erano squisite, con tutti i profumi dell’isola. Ottimo anche il polpo arrosto, tenero e gustoso.
Il personale è stato molto attento e premuroso, soprattutto abbiamo apprezzato la loro onestà rispetto alla richiesta di pescato del giorno. Avevamo sentito i pescatori locali lamentarsi della scarsità della battuta e i ristoratori ci hanno ribadito la cosa invece che propinarci portate a base di pesce surgelato o importato.
Gradita anche la piccola carezza che il proprietario ci ha fatto sul conto.
Torneremo al Carrubo la prossima vacanza a Marettimo.
05/08/2024: Al carrubo aveva attirato la mia attenzione per vista e location, ‘lontana’ dal centro.
Servizio e piatti superlativi! Personale super cordiale e disponibile, preparati sui piatti e sui vini. Abbiamo optato per assaggiare vari piatti con il tonno, tipico di Marettimo. Quello che ci ha veramente stupiti e che ci ha portato a far recapitare i nostri complimenti alla Chef, e’ stato il piatto di busiate alla carrubo… eccezionali!
Conto assolutamente commisurato alla qualità e all’isola. (€105 per due antipasti, un primo, un secondo, una bottiglia di vino, una di acqua, dolce e amaro).
Se dovessi tornare a Marettimo farei sicuramente tappa di nuovo da voi!

27/07/2024: 1 star because 0 cannot be given. Waiters and bartenders live in a parallel world, getting orders wrong and offering poor service. Not recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a decent granita.
