18/01/2026: We had a reservation for 12:00 on New Year’s Day, but were not seated until 12:47. During this time, staff repeatedly told us it would be “another 10 minutes,” which was said multiple times without any clear update or honesty about the delay. While waiting, we could overhear staff discussing that the owner had decided to open at 12 following New Year’s celebrations, and that several staff members did not want to be there. When we eventually entered the restaurant, tables were still being set up, and we were asked to wait in a seating area for a further extended period. Once seated, we were not provided with menus or offered drinks. After asking three separate times for menus—each time being told “five minutes”—a further 15 minutes passed with no service. At that point, we decided to leave. For an establishment that presents itself as high-end and holds a Michelin star, this level of organisation, service, and professionalism was extremely disappointing. Delays can happen, but poor communication, lack of basic service, and unprofessional behaviour are not acceptable at this standard. The experience did not meet expectations, and staff training and customer service clearly need improvement.

01/11/2025: FINALLY THE REAL NAPLES RAME. This is the time of year when I start trying different bars to find the original recipe for the Neapolitan rame, which remind me of my childhood, but it's been a long time since I've been able to eat a real one. Until I tried this bar and... I can finally say that these are the real original rame, made according to the traditional recipe! I highly recommend them; you won't regret it! Besides the delicious food, I noticed the spotless rooms and very friendly staff (especially Giuseppe, the guy at the cash register). I'm super satisfied, I'll definitely be back!

12/01/2026: Absolutely nothing to say. I've been frequenting the bar for personal reasons since I was a boy, living in the area. Now that I'm a salesman with my own assigned area, I always stop by for something good to eat or a coffee. It's ideal, given the healthy atmosphere, with tables well spaced and somewhat private, for a quick negotiation with a client or to meet with my manager from Catania, who can't believe that even in Floridia, my hometown, there are bars and pastry shops like this where you can eat well, both for work and personal reasons. On Sundays, when I visit my relatives, I have to come and get a tray of pastries.

19/07/2025: Pochi piatti ma cucinati con dovizia, ho riassaporato i sapori della nonna... Servizio sufficiente, la location lascia molto a desiderare, specialmente per la zona dove è situato il locale, sicuramente non turistica.

18/07/2025: Nos encontramos con este restaurante que está en Ortigia, justo al lado de las calles principales pero con vistas al mar. Fue realmente excelente. No turístico. Genuinamente bien cocinado y comida local súper fresca. Me comí el especial de pez espada y mi marido tenía el especial de atún que dijo que era la mejor melodía que había comido. Sobresaliente. Personal encantador y bien informado. Buen Inglés hablado.

22/10/2025: Fontane Bianche is a charming place dear to me, one I've been frequenting regularly for over 50 years. I come from Catania specifically to enjoy the delicious ice creams and famous granitas at the legendary El Cubano bar, and the excellent pizzas and dishes at the characteristic former Cubano Tenda. I hope to continue doing so for at least another 50 years.

21/02/2026: The food ordered was tasty, they had large portions. I give 1 mark to the service because we asked for a table for 3 people, including a child, and although there were enough free tables inside, they sat us outside even though it was quite cold. Some waiters don't know English, and if you don't speak Italian they are very rushed and don't give you any explanations. We asked for the bill to pay, we left the money on the table and then they shouted for us to come and pay!!!

15/02/2026: The grapipitittu appetizer was unsatisfactory. The excessive lemon juice covered the flavors of the questionable amount of fish. The cold couscous was good. The grilled calamari was rubbery, tasteless, and undercooked, "left on the plate." The mixed fried fish was also rubbery and mushy. It's a shame, expectations were different.
