01/11/2025: FINALLY THE REAL NAPLES RAME. This is the time of year when I start trying different bars to find the original recipe for the Neapolitan rame, which remind me of my childhood, but it's been a long time since I've been able to eat a real one. Until I tried this bar and... I can finally say that these are the real original rame, made according to the traditional recipe! I highly recommend them; you won't regret it! Besides the delicious food, I noticed the spotless rooms and very friendly staff (especially Giuseppe, the guy at the cash register). I'm super satisfied, I'll definitely be back!

01/01/2026: NEW YEAR'S EVE: We paid €120 per person to celebrate New Year's Eve. Service and evening: 7. Food: 0. The menu was very limited; we were left hungry, and the quality was, to say the least, embarrassing for that price. I recommend changing the menu and quality.

09/12/2025: Delicious food, very welcoming staff, and a fabulous location. I had the pasta with mussels and pecorino cheese, which was fabulous. For dessert, a tiramisu... one of the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!

07/06/2026: A must-see when passing through Castellammare, excellent food, very good arancini, nice and big and full, excellent calzone with salami, but I'm not giving it 5 stars only because there were a lot of flies at the counter, I recommend a curtain or something to keep them out.

30/09/2025: Had some chicken and it was a go to for locals and tourists like me. Very simple, moist and hit the mark. Was sold out in the first instance so they are clearly very good or do not cater for enough traffic (even though the place is sleepy )

Everything was done with a smile, and we felt truly welcomed. With Google Translate and a few gestures, we got by just fine. 14/05/2026: Located on the very central Matteotti Avenue, Viola is a little coffee house and ice cream parlour. I tried only the ice cream, so my review is limited only to that product. The choice of flavours is ample enough and covers all what you expect from a Sicilian ice cream maker. The quality of the ice cream is good, even if I wouldn't rate at the very top: a slightly stronger character would be much more welcome! Service is OK

09/04/2026: Great restaurant. Affordable prices and absolutely lovely taste! We had Calamari alla Siciliana and pizza Gazela, both really scrumptious. Really close to the city centre so it's really worth the walk. The toilets are clean and smell nice.

10/05/2026: Highly discouraged due to the complete lack of seriousness and professionalism. I booked a table for two through TheFork on April 30th for Saturday, May 9th at 8:30 PM, and received a proper confirmation. Despite the reservation having been made a full 10 days in advance, the restaurant dared to cancel it, just four hours before dinner, with a notification at 4:07 PM. The excuse? A "private event." Such an event should be planned in advance; it's not decided on a Saturday afternoon at the expense of guests who already have a confirmed reservation. I find it unacceptable and profoundly unfair to give such short notice on a Saturday evening, making it impossible to find a valid alternative. If you're looking for a reliable place that honors its commitments to its customers, look elsewhere. This restaurant treats reservations as mere suggestions, to be cancelled at will.

03/05/2026: It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, you'll have a great experience: good pizza, a beautiful place. The outside is also beautiful, with a well-kept garden perfect for spending a cool evening with friends or even family. The staff is attentive and friendly.

20/04/2026: A welcoming, classically styled establishment. The spacious interior is enhanced by wooden wall shelves displaying wines and artisanal products. A high-end pastry shop where the art of pastry making reigns supreme—just look at the Easter eggs and Easter lambs a few weeks ago, with their exquisite decorations and top-quality ingredients, as well as the seasonal panettone, the small pastries, and the cakes created in the back workshops. Even the simple croissants and other breakfast treats stand out for both their dough and filling. Camelia Pastry Shop is a must-visit.
