16/03/2025: The coffee is good, carefully prepared and the turnout is proof of this. The products in general are of quality and of a very interesting level. The morning, unfortunately, is characterized by a notable din, excessive noise produced by the voices of customers added to the noise of the cups and by anonymous and useless "good mornings" of circumstance shot in all directions directly from behind the counter. It is clear that the staff has been "trained" to say the greeting as soon as the door opens, but they have not been informed that greeting a customer in the "Christmas tree at a service station" mode is worth zero! And above all, a cup served while looking at the customer with even a hint of a smile (which depends a lot on whoever is serving behind the counter) is worth much more than a "good morning" said through gritted teeth while looking at the coffee machine. I've been frequenting Bar Fortunately, the same does not happen at Bar Vatta in Opicina (same ownership, but certainly a more advanced school) where the friendliness is spontaneous and sincere. Bar X please remember: a sincere smile is worth more than a hundred anonymous greetings.

13/03/2025: Vibrant atmosphere. Nice choice of food. Fresh made food. Staff is extremely friendly. We had ice cream and coffee. Coffee was standard ok. The ice cream a bit tooo sweet/greasy. It was so "heavy" that it simply did not melt.

15/03/2025: Dario is a unique person, he is a true HOST! In business since 1986, the restaurant “Da Afro” offers authentic local cuisine, with a careful selection of wines and raw materials (often from his garden/farm). They also have a hotel with 8 rooms, I recommend you try to have dinner at his place and if you are far away to stop and sleep and with the excuse drink a few more bottles. Every time I pass by his area I stop to have a chat over a glass of wine🍷 and then eat a nice first course! You won't regret it 😇

02/02/2025: Nice place to eat a good sandwich but there is also more on the menu. I had an Angus burger which came with a nice plating with lots of quality vegetables and potatoes. Good quality of wines served. Courteous staff. Average prices.

27/02/2025: This is easily my favorite restaurant in Grado. I have eaten here multiple times over the years and keep coming back to it. The food is always excellent and presented wonderfully. The service is super friendly. The atmosphere is impeccable. Also, they serve the best pizza I've had in Grado. Antonio, their barkeeper, makes incredible cocktails. I certainly recommend at least having one with your meal. If you're ever in Grado, I wholeheartedly recommend having dinner here.

29/01/2025: One of the most welcoming bars in Trieste. Excellent café and pastry shop, the aperitifs are also good and are always accompanied by tasty appetizers. Suitable for both a quick coffee and a hot tea with good music in the background. The kindness of the owners is an added value.

15/10/2024: Frecuentemente conducimos por la carretera SS 13. Bar al Sole en Chiusaforte está abierto todos los días. Cuando el tiempo es inclemente, las mesas al aire libre hacen señas para detenerse y pedir un café o tal vez un gingerino, sentarse y mirar el tráfico que pasa. Esto es muy relajante y el tiempo pasa desapercibido. Casi me olvido de mencionar a la simpática señora, que dirige el bar. Y amplia plaza de aparcamiento cerca del bar. Una calificación de cinco puntos de nuevo y hasta el próximo año.

The service was a little disorganized but on holiday everything is fine. I worked in a pastry shop in Florence for 15 years and I know how to judge well. The 1900 venue is a jewel and the people are courteous

23/03/2025: What can I say, good food, good service, welcoming and clean environment and prices in line with other places, the only flaw .... that I really can't stand ... is the double shift policy ... Of course you know before booking because they warn you ... but I think it's a really incorrect and greedy practice ... that makes you understand how little a place cares about its customers who are just "roosters to pluck" and not a customer to pamper ... Where you sit down, eat calmly and have a chat in peace with your friends in complete tranquility without having to set a timer because the next customers arrive at 9. So it's like an assembly line ... In fact, if I can, I always try to avoid these types of places ....

06/03/2025: Small trattoria in the center of Trieste, located in a side street. The place is very nice with a mezzanine overlooking the kitchen Very kind staff. Very good and well presented starters, I'm sorry I didn't take photos. Worthy of mention is the truly exquisite octopus salad. Abundant and well-seasoned first courses. My tagliolini with scampi are excellent and well plated. A glass of pelinkovac offered by the manager was very welcome.

04/02/2025: Nice and good. Friendly and approachable but without being intrusive. I appreciated everything about this little place in the center of Trieste. Amazing mix of starters, I tried creamed cod, anchovies in saor, scallops au gratin but above all the octopus was amazing. The first was an excellent and plentiful spaghetti with seafood. Highly recommended
