Well, this time the surprise was entirely positive. ​Dish Analysis: Fried Chicken Sandwich ​Since it was my first time here, the fried chicken sandwich was my test. Verdict? Very good, in fact, above average. ​The Crunch Anomaly: Fried food is often a mystery in these pubs, but here the crispiness on the outside is incredible. The special thing (the anomaly I always look for) is that, despite the fried food, the chicken inside remained juicy and flavorful. That's not something you'll ever expect. ​Total Satisfaction: It's a complete sandwich. It's not the usual bland fare that leaves you with a pit in your stomach: here, there's substance, there's structure, and every bite gives you the satisfaction you seek in a well-made treat. ​The Atmosphere and Service ​The place has that authentic pub feel that I like: no frills and lots of practicality. The staff is smart and fast, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially when you enter a new place and want to immediately understand what they're made of. ​The Final Verdict ​Finding a place like this by chance was a stroke of luck. Happy Days passes the test the first time with excellent marks. It's the ideal choice for those seeking quality and quantity in a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in Cividale and want a sandwich that really does its job, this is the place. ​My advice: Don't be fooled by the simple appearance. Go straight for the fried chicken sandwich: it's the positive anomaly that will have you coming back a second time.

27/09/2025: A true gem in the center of Lignano Sabbiadoro. A welcoming location, run with great professionalism by Annalisa and Mauro. The service is meticulously cared for by the entire staff. The menu satisfies even the most discerning and experienced palates, with quality and refined dishes. There's a special children's menu, as well as paper and pencils for drawing. The dishes are beautifully presented, with generous portions. The wine list is excellent. The prices are in keeping with the quality, service, and location. A rose at every table will warm your heart. We'll be back.

18/04/2026: Wait time was soo long. The caffe lattes were very good, but the brioche was the worst one I have ever had. We have taken the pistachio ones. They were stale, the cream didn’t taste like pistachio at all (it literally had the taste of crema). So only the color matched. What a shame after we have also waited 30 minutes Maybe the other pastries and cakes are better, but this was a horrid experience for us. I would avoid buying brioches from here.

13/04/2026: An evening with friends spent in a welcoming place with friendly and efficient staff! It's nice to relive the experiences of the '80s when sandwich shops first emerged! Extensive menu with a variety of choices.

07/04/2026: I love this place, but I must say that they probably reduced the amount of ham in the sandwich to save money: two slices, even small ones, seems a bit too little to me; you couldn't even taste the ham. I was a bit disappointed (the ham was reduced for the increased price). The price of the fries (€6.50) seems really excessive, so much so that we didn't order them. The cover charge also seems a bit high (€1.50) for a paper placemat.

07/06/2026: June 6, 2026 Prices are too high for this type of bar. Four of us paid €23 for three coffee creams and a tea in a commercial-style bottle. It's fine to be in a tourist resort and overlooking the sea, but in my opinion these prices are too high... and people are running away from Lignano.

03/06/2026: The place is wonderful and the staff is really friendly. I was there last week and had a really good time. The best thing about this place, in my opinion, is that you can literally eat and drink while overlooking the sea. We tried two spritzes and they were really good, and the accompanying fries were really appreciated. I also tried a chocolate crepe and it wasn't bad, the only thing was that it had too much powdered sugar. Other than that, everything was really good and delicious. The two girls who served us were very kind and really quick to help us.

23/04/2026: I've been going to Al Cardinale for many years, and for me it remains the absolute best restaurant in the area. The food is truly excellent—every dish is a delight! A special thanks to Pasquale: his service is impeccable, attentive, and very friendly. He makes you feel welcome right away and always in good hands. For me, it's clearly the number one. Highly recommended!

20/04/2026: On Saturday evening, we had a truly fantastic evening in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere! The owners are both professional and very friendly! The fish ljublianka is highly recommended, and the tiramisu is a true delight... If you're in Trieste, you absolutely must stop by.

09/06/2026: They greeted us with a smile even though we didn't have a reservation on a rather crowded pre-holiday (and with our dog in tow). The catch of the day and the appetizers were excellent, the service was very attentive, the atmosphere outside was lovely (but the interior was also very nice for the winter), and the price was in line with the quality and location. We would return.

02/09/2025: The pistachio and chocolate ice cream cake was mostly chocolate-flavored, with the pistachio taste being very subtle. Still, it was absolutely delicious! The cannoli are also amazing — creamy, fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the desserts at this pasticceria; a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth

09/03/2026: I stumbled upon this bar by chance, and I must say I was very pleased. Decorated with meticulous attention to detail, the bar is quite spacious and even has a few small tables outside. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We only had two herbal teas, which were really good, and we paid just two euros per person. I must say I was very pleased, because that means they have reasonable prices. I'd like to stop by again, perhaps to try the aperitivo. The place is minimally decorated, with light colors, and the atmosphere is very clean. I'd like to ask if they celebrate birthdays or if they make the room available for special occasions.
