07/03/2025: I can't comment on food in a broad sense because I have often eaten a sandwich or 1 dessert. The place is welcoming, the large and bright outdoor area is wonderful, all in wood, with large windows. In winter the beautiful tiled stove works, which runs on pellets which heats the entire room. Absolutely worth going.

Basic entrance door, terrible service, eighties style dishes, ridiculous portions and questionable quality, especially when compared to the price. In short, typical Trieste-style anal fuck.

29/12/2024: È come essere a casa. L’ambiente è intimo, riservato, accogliente. Ma la qualità del cibo è sopraffina, una selezione di sapori a dir poco memorabile. Ulteriore nota di merito al personale: tutti cordiali, competenti e simpaticissimi. Il rapporto qualità prezzo migliore della zona. Noi abbiamo guidato mezz’ora per arrivarci e non vediamo l’ora di farlo di nuovo!

Excellent fish cuisine with some truly brilliant proposals (the seared tuna, the mojito guitar pasta and the cartoccio with the catch of the day in particular). Informal but not banal environment, very precise and very friendly service. Lastly, an uncommon quality/price ratio.

31/01/2025: True local dining..!!! I was introduced to it by a winery. It was so delicious even though I was really, really tired. The wine pairing is also amazing. The idea of ​​it being a kind of omakase. Specializing in raw fish. It's shrimp and carpaccio with no fishy taste at all, but they also have aged sashimi, and they keep serving it until you call for appetizer stop (of course, they charge a price for each menu, but it's usually around 4-9 euros). Dried fish alpastar really... Is this why it’s Italian food? True al dente but not hard. Homemade drinks and soup (shrimp) before the meal. Is soup really a hangover? Everything was perfect, and excluding the wine, it cost about 125 euros for two. 10% VAT included. (so no tip) Michelin 3 stars in my heart. Would love to visit this area again just to stay here

09/03/2025: I went to this pub for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was ruined by an unpleasant episode. On the occasion of Women's Day, I simply wished the waitress a happy birthday, receiving in return an unpleasant response and a monologue about her personal opinion regarding the occasion. Obviously everyone is free to have their own thoughts, but responding with contempt to a gesture of courtesy is certainly not a sign of professionalism. Beyond this episode, the place is very pleasant and in full Irish style. The prices are very honest, the food really good and the beers top quality. I hope that the management takes into account the importance of maintaining a respectful and friendly attitude towards customers, regardless of the personal opinions of the staff.

09/03/2025: After many years I return to Udine and with pleasure I stop at the pastry shop.....always excellent staff and environment, good cappuccino and vast choice of pastries and desserts. Only flaw......I would advise the owner to provide for modernization of the bathroom, not acceptable for such a long, it loses prestige!

08/03/2025: It's my favorite place! The kindness of the staff, the professionalism and the elegance of the ways make it a place of times gone by. I call it "vintage" for this reason. For breakfast it is well stocked but I usually go there for an aperitif. The cocktails are prepared to perfection (not watered down like in many places in the city (where on earth do they ask you what type of Vermouth you prefer for the Americano?!). They are also always accompanied by excellent appetizers. Friday evening is often a special evening with live music, always in the style of the place. Compared to many chaotic places in the centre, standard, impersonal and often poor in treatment, Friuli stands out for its style: you don't go there simply because it's trendy, but because you know it, you loyal and it has become a small luxury that you allow yourself, almost a comfort zone!
