30/09/2025: I just went to Ambrosino on Via Scarlatti Vomero for a plate of pasta with potatoes and provola. I wish I'd never had it before! The provola was nonexistent; they forgot to put it in. The pasta had the consistency of yesterday's pasta that they'd reheated in the microwave. So they served me a dry plate of pasta without the proper blend of potatoes and provola, dry to the point of being inedible and with a strange, stale taste. Furthermore, when I mentioned this to the cashier at checkout (a whopping €11.00 for such a piece of junk), she didn't even bother to apologize for the inconvenience and told me to pay quickly and leave (which was enough to make her face swollen). So I strongly advise against eating at AMBROSINO ON VIA SCARLATTI to avoid experiencing similar, unfortunate situations.

02/03/2026: Very bad. They don't give you time to look at the menu properly, the desserts are weak and expensive, and the caffè latte was cold. And they asked for a tip, which is not normal in Italy. Avoid it.

21/02/2026: Aside from the price of the foamed coffee, which is increased by 50 cents, which is definitely not Neapolitan style. I believe that given the history of Naples, places like this—and there are more and more of them around—are starting to become a bit too lucrative. In addition to the poor quality food, the desserts you get will have been made at least a day ago. 10/10/2025: It's worth waking here instead of restaurants next to Pompeii. Good pastry & cappuccino. Other tourists report being charged extra fees but I didn't see any extra added charges & the amount looked correct.

02/11/2025: The staff is friendly but it's useless to try to 'catch' the customer at the entrance... unfortunately I had a terrible experience with your pizzas twice, I ate badly and paid too much... This morning I tried to avoid the pizzeria so as not to make another mistake... however, I haven't had any better. This is the standard I think, polite yes but in a restaurant you want to sit down to eat without drinking liters of water for the next two days.

24/10/2025: Quite good, but way too expensive for the quality! We felt like suckers at the end...😅 4 euros cover charge, per person!!! In all our trips to Italy, we've never paid such a price. 6 euros for a glass of wine, tasteless... 8 euros for a slice of tiramisu, which is good, but still excessive for Italy (they advertise the desserts without seeing the menu). Honestly, I don't recommend it. Go to the Dal Calabrese restaurant instead; we paid half the price the day before, for just as good, if not better!

If I respond and change my personal opinion, it's because sooner or later you'll encounter an owner who doesn't think straight and is convinced of himself and reacts instinctively, because to be bad you have to be intelligent. If you point out all his work shortcomings, he'll appeal. Smoking is NOT allowed indoors, but a gazebo is outdoors, so what's the point of ashtrays at the tables? And above all, it all becomes a pretext to accuse you of having written a negative review and boast about having cameras in a gazebo where, in Italy, a mandatory notice must be posted at the entrance because it's much simpler. I have nothing to hide if they accuse you without thinking about all the things that are forgiven, such as the poor hygiene conditions, the bathrooms not accessible to the disabled but declared suitable, the logistics services, electronic payments accepted reluctantly because they are tracked, reviews left by relatives or people paid by them, are sold for a coffee and are therefore called friends, but they don't point out that an honest reviewer would have sent them the NAS, reminding them that the receipts They are an obligation, just like respecting the simple rules of those who serve food, but as the owner says, if so much gives me so much, I and everyone I know will continue to advise against such activities, which set a very bad example, with regret for those who, instead of insulting, truly care about being appreciated for their work and correcting their mistakes to a disce omnis.
