05/07/2026: This is a small cafe in the Quartieri Spagnoli area of Napoli. There is a good range of drinks and a variety of savoury snacks and sweet pastries. The hostess kindly explained what they consisted of. Once ordered at the counter inside they were brought to our table along with our drinks. We had a panini and pesto pasta salad, both of which were good. There are several outside tables and few inside. Service was good.

04/07/2026: Small bar in a quiet square with shaded outdoor seating. Fast service. Coffee, soy cappuccino, croissant, and riccia bread @€9. (Perhaps significantly pricey given the location.)

16/06/2026: I had an aperitif at this bar. The staff were super welcoming and the quality was excellent. The price was very reasonable for the location and quality.

08/06/2026: I suggest a clear but credible tone: describe the experience precisely, avoiding turning a negative evening into a definitive verdict on the restaurant. The review is more authoritative precisely because it leaves open the possibility that it was an isolated incident. Zio Jack is a historic restaurant in Naples, and seeing the nearly 4,000 mostly positive reviews, I returned with very high expectations. Also because I remembered that, twenty years ago, it was one of the places serving the best meat in the city. Unfortunately, this time the experience was very disappointing. We ordered one of the most expensive meats offered by the restaurant: a Florentine steak, rated as particularly marbled, with the maximum score of 5 out of 5 according to the classification on the menu. Precisely for this reason, we expected a meat rich in marbling, flavorful, and tender. When it arrived at the table, however, the meat was essentially devoid of internal marbling: flavorless, tough, and, despite having requested it rare, not even the cooking enhanced it. What left me most perplexed was the response I received when I pointed out the problem. When I showed the inside of the meat and asked if it was truly a Florentine steak with 5 out of 5 marbling, I was pointed out the fat on the sides of certain parts of the cut. But marbling is something else entirely: it's the intramuscular fat distributed within the meat, not simply the external fat separated from the lean meat. I'm sorry to write this, especially given the very positive memories I had of the restaurant and its long history. I hope this was an isolated incident and that in the future there will be greater attention both to the selection of cuts and to the consistency between what's on the menu and what actually arrives at the table. I sincerely hope to return and have the opportunity to change my mind.

08/06/2026: One of the best places to eat meat in Naples. We were unlucky because, having been there on the weekend, the meat wasn't cooked properly. We waited a while, about an hour, but it was still worth it. The bombette were delicious, but some types of meat were questionable due to their extreme fat content. The actual weight of the food served remains questionable, as the proportions don't seem to match exactly what was advertised by the service staff. We will definitely return, as the food remains excellent. Parking is inconvenient; there's no parking; you have to pay more than €15 to park in a nearby garage.

08/04/2026: A very nice and well-stocked wine bar. I went there for a birthday party in the basement, which isn't very large, but was just right for the number of people (about twenty). The outdoor space, equipped with tables and umbrellas, is a real plus when the weather is nice. The staff is friendly and attentive.
