25/08/2025: Not a good restaurant... - Tourist trap and mass processing - It's good at first, but then the waiter becomes very pushy and overly friendly - It's very loud inside and very uncomfortable due to the mirrored walls - The restroom has no toilet seat - You're quickly pressured to pay to clear the tables, and if you pay without a tip (which was just bad service), it's shouted loudly throughout the restaurant

07/07/2025: So, I ate here on April 30th, I just wanted a kebab piadina. First of all, he gave it to me with dirty tinfoil (with grease, meat, etc.), the kebab while I was eating it, was dripping with OIL (not sauce). And it was the FIRST time in my life that I couldn't eat a kebab completely. I threw away the remaining 1/3 because I couldn't take it anymore, it only tasted like oil. Exactly 30 minutes later I got a stomach ache that I wanted to throw up. And I don't have a very fragile stomach, stomach ache (due to something I ate) happens to me like 1 time every 3 years when I eat really rubbish. The gentleman was very kind, but personally I will never go there again

28/06/2025: ZERO hygiene. Dishes and utensils rinsed (not even washed) by hand. Mediocre food.

15/02/2025: Con gli antipasti abbiamo ricevuto 4 fette di pane stallito in un sacchetto, abbiamo preso come antipasto “toma calda con crudo” , semplice e misero tomino del supermercato con una manciata di insalata vecchia nel piatto. Come primo gnocchetti con fonduta, nella norma buoni niente di speciale. Secondo di carne 40€ decisamente troppo per quello che ci é arrivato. Abbiamo mangiato in braccio ai 2 tavoli che avevamo affianco. Forse é arrivato il momento di smetterla di screditare sempre il servizio ligure e sarebbe proprio il caso che ogni località turistica inizi a guardarsi in casa. Abbiamo Speso 117€ e nemmeno lo scontrino fiscale abbiamo ricevuto nonostante lo abbiamo chiesto (siamo stati liquidati con lo scontrino della comanda) L’unico lato positivo é stata la cameriera giovane con la coda veramente gentile.

03/02/2025: We managed to blag a table here as we hadn’t booked but the staff were lovely and squeezed us in. Our issue was we didn’t order the right thing - we saw hamburgers and felt the need for a carb-less dinner, but really we would have been safer sticking to the Italian dishes! (The hamburger didn’t have a bun for example but the waiter did tell us this but we stuck with it anyway). I wish I’d ordered the pizza. Drinks wine and price were all great and I would go back!

18/08/2025: We visited this place as greeks and we were scammed by the owner. We ordered latte freddo from the menu section with the coffees. He brought as 2 glasses of cold milk. I asked him politely to bring as the iced freddo. He was trying to explain that freddo means cold in italian. At the end, he stirred less than a shot espresso to my cold milk! If it is like this, then he needs to remove it from the coffee section from the menu!

29/04/2025: Personale gentilissimo, prima di acquistare la colomba l'hanno fatta assaggiare sia a me che a mia figlia. Colomba superlativa!

20/04/2025: Ci siamo recati al locale ancora pieno di gente e abbiamo ordinato tre aperitivi raccomandandoci di servire oltre alle bevande e a ciò che normalmente è incluso nella consumazione, anche ulteriori stuzzichini di accompagnamento che avremmo pagato a parte. Dopo una lunga attesa di circa 25 minuti veniamo serviti e ci viene chiesto di consumare in fretta perché mancavano 10 minuti alla chiusura. La sorpresa più grande è stata vedere consegnarci le sole bevande dal cameriere senza alcuno stuzzichino di accompagnamento , al che mi alzo e gli vado a parlare per avere una motivazione e ci viene detto che il locale stava per chiudere e che per gli aperitivi era tutto terminato e che quindi ci saremmo dovuti accontentare delle sole bevande. Se lo avessimo saputo prima e se ci avessero informati saremmo andati altrove oppure direttamente al banco senza aspettare al tavolo seduti per quasi mezz’ora. Pessima esperienza da evitare.

27/07/2025: Historic bar in front of Porta Pia with spacious interiors. The coffee is decent (€1.10), as is the croissant with jam (€1.20). The men's restroom has a non-working hand dryer. The staff is unfriendly; the cashier and barista don't return our greetings or even thank us, even though there were only two of us inside. Recommended for those in a hurry and walking past; otherwise, there are better bars in the area that pride themselves on kindness!

05/07/2025: I was there a few days ago in the afternoon. I read the reviews and I agree with the rudeness aspect, in this case of the guy at the counter. The lady at the cash register was moderately polite. I didn't "taste" the gentleman at the tobacconist... Oh well, apart from the fact that I was told again after asking that it would be table service. Surcharge reiterated by signs on the walls. The surprise is the bill paid of 8.50 (two croissants that had no flavor in the afternoon but perhaps not even in the morning, a cappuccino and a coffee with a terrible taste) for me excessive and not justified by the splendid view of Porta Pia and the adjacent bersagliere running...

13/08/2025: The little place looks nice. We wanted to have a nice breakfast here, but the food wasn't great. It's a tourist trap.

04/08/2025: Pretty bad, all around. You order avocado toast and it's a slice of bread with guacamole on top, blackened and overcooked. Scrambled eggs with bacon, and there was one measly slice of bacon and one egg. The coffee was tasteless and the service poor. We definitely won't be back.

03/08/2025: I don't understand the comments, I was well received, the prices of the sandwiches vary from €2.50 to €4, several varieties, then as for the quantities €2.50 you want what more. I enjoyed the porchetta and the mortadella. Thank you

04/07/2025: I RECOMMEND CHANGING THE OPENING HOURS BECAUSE YOU ARE NEVER OPEN AT 8, 09.45 - 10:00, EVERY TIME YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR HOURS AND IF YOU FIND IT OPEN THEY KICK YOU OUT BECAUSE IT IS NOT OPEN YET EVEN THOUGH IT IS 09.00 OR LATER.

20/07/2025: I asked for a chocolate frappe with rum. 6 euros...without rum. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he replied that there's quite a bit of it...I don't like being seen around. Poor service. I won't be back. Never mind.

15/06/2025: Kind of a bar, but not quite — more like a cozy observation deck with cocktails. Draft beer? Just a couple of options, but they do the job. Cocktails, though — plenty, and done right. Perfect spot to sit back, watch the promenade, make up stories about strangers, and pretend you’re a local. The staff? Great people — friendly, easygoing, and always up for a quick chat, even if you don’t speak the same language.

24/05/2025: Una caffetteria senza caffè, una polaccheria senza polacche... Io chiuderei insieme alla macchinetta del caffè un po' prima e non restare aperto fino all'una!
