06/05/2025: This is a lovely shop with a superb location. Enjoy a great, dense, and well-done coffee and pastries while relaxing and watching people pass by. I spent three days in Udine, and this was my place to go every morning. Do not leave without trying their natural juices.

26/04/2025: I sit down for a simple coffee and order a small red pizza for my 15 month old daughter. Tragedy. Scandal. The little girl doesn't eat it. An event which evidently deeply disturbed the staff. In the meantime, I'm in the bathroom (they thought I'd gone away) and I hear them squawking in front of the other customers at the counter: "Well, obviously she didn't eat it, but how can you get a pizza from a one-year-old?" And more. Thanks so much for the pearl of educational wisdom, ladies. Maybe next time, in addition to coffee, will you sell me your manual on child nutrition? But how sad is it that women judge each other so quickly? Bar not recommended for those who expect a minimum of respect. Excellent if you want coffee and middle school comments

05/03/2025: Two hot chocolates with cream that were burnt and overpriced, we could have had two pizzas. We both felt sick, with stomach aches and vomiting. Avoid this place, the staff were also very cold.

15/08/2025: We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, thanks to its fame and high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. In a high-end restaurant, with prices commensurate with its location, you expect consistency and quality from the menu to the final dish. The "Chef's Fantasy" appetizer (€30) was simple but enjoyable. The real disappointment came with the first courses: the "Franciacorta risotto with red prawns" (€25) was more reminiscent of buttered rice, while the "tagliolino all'aragostella" (€35) tasted very similar to pasta with tomato sauce. Furthermore, the bread basket showed signs of soiling, a detail that shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this caliber. We decided to stop there, without continuing with other courses. We probably should have pointed out the dishes right away, but we chose not to. The atmosphere is refined, and the waiter was friendly and attentive. However, when you choose to spend a significant amount (in our case, €107 with two glasses of wine), you expect the quality to match the cost. It's a shame, because the potential is there, but the experience didn't convince us.

19/05/2025: Siamo ritornati a distanza di qualche anno e abbiamo ritrovato piacevolmente la stessa qualità e cortesia. Locale elegante con cucina piuttosto raffinata e ricercata, piatti non convenzionali con gusti davvero speciali. Ogni portata è una piacevole sensazione, crema di zucca con calamaro croccante davvero fantastica! Luogo assolutamente consigliato magari per festeggiare una ricorrenza e andare sul sicuro perché mangerete senza dubbio alla grande. Personale estremamente preparato, location top, del resto siete a Boccadasse, non serve dire nulla. Conto giusto per la qualità generale!

16/05/2025: Personale gentile e servizio veloce. Il pesce è di ottima qualità. Le porzioni soprattutto dei secondi un po’ troppo piccole ( il trancio di ombrina seppur squisito erano 3 bocconi). Nel complesso sia stati bene, piazzetta molto tranquilla a pochi metri dal mare, in considerazione del conto vorresti mangiare un pochino di più .

12/08/2025: I had a mulberry granita... terrible... it gave me the impression that it was made with a syrup... extremely sweet and without the seeds typical of mulberries and without any mulberry pulp... also extremely expensive (4 euros) compared to other bars nearby and others.

16/05/2025: Waiting over half an hour for two portions of chips and a hamburger with the place empty is ridiculous, €13 a €6 beer a portion of chips €6, which they call "seven chips" but were normal frozen chips. Finally the bill was €13, so they also made us pay for the two sauces (ketchup and mayonnaise) requested. The place is nice but I will definitely not return

02/09/2025: I stopped by. The waiter was friendly and professional. The gentleman at the cash register was hasty and not at all empathetic. I had an iced coffee. €2. Really outrageous.... Usually the price is €1.20 or €1.30. Not even in Milan do they have prices like that. Wow!!!

17/07/2025: While passing through Caserta, we stopped at this cute, welcoming place, offering many sweet treats, including local specialties. A great place for a post-visit to the Royal Palace.

11/05/2025: Excellent ice cream but for a 4 euro cone definitely very poor! Right in the attitude of putting the flavors on the cone there was stinginess. If there was too much ice cream on the scoop it was narrowed several times... not to mention the cups were scientifically left with the bottom empty. But I admit that the ice cream was excellent....

11/05/2025: We stopped for a bowl of ice cream which was left empty at the bottom. Basically 4 measly teaspoons of ice cream. The trick of leaving a void underneath is really stingy. It's a shame given the good quality of the product.

04/09/2025: Dear Mr. Cottini, I would like to thank you all for the attention you gave me and all the pilgrims visiting your restaurant on September 2nd. After an intense and demanding walking pilgrimage that began in Caserta, I arrived in Rome, and after visiting the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, our group of pilgrims chose to have lunch at your restaurant. A positive experience in every way! The menu (very competitively priced), which included a first course, second course with side dish, and a small bottle of water, was very balanced, suitable for a large group of 22 people. The dishes were simple, nutritious, and fresh, typical of Roman tradition. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a regenerating break after a particularly busy and intense morning of sightseeing. The staff was courteous and helpful, but what made our break unique was the way they, with their characteristic Roman spirit, distributed the dishes. Between each serving, the kind Mr. Roberto would offer playful and amusing quips, like: "It takes courage to eat!" And of course, my response was inevitable: "Don't be cheap with this dish!" Everyone laughed, in an atmosphere of contagious joy! A final touch that made all the difference was the coffee kindly offered to all of us by the kind smile of the kind Oana, a sign of true Roman hospitality. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Rome, I highly recommend Bar Cottini! Excellent food, fair prices, and the personal attention that knows how to make every guest feel part of the "Roman family." P.S. The restaurant offers both coffee and food service! See you soon!
