The place certainly enjoys a good location, but honestly, at 12:20 on a Sunday morning, I'm told they only have chips and olives for aperitif (I'd have asked for them otherwise, not even those), or that otherwise I'd have to wait half an hour, I find it a bit out of place. The staff wasn't rude, but courtesy is definitely something else.

Discovered by chance, in an area south of the city, Dolci Memela is one of those places that still speaks of the most authentic Milan. Popular, simple places, with a history of everyday life, craftsmanship, and authentic flavors—qualities that too often go unnoticed on a larger scale. It's a simple piazza bar, a café that doesn't need to shout "I'm trendy," but welcomes neighborhood customers with a Gazzetta dello Sport on, a game playing in the background, and the aroma of freshly baked croissants. It's not a new place, and perhaps that's precisely its value: a small world that has remained authentic, where breakfast still has a genuine flavor. It's worth a visit, a discovery like mine. Because, sometimes, true treasures are found where you least expect them.

I was in Milan working the Olympics and needed a cake for my daughter’s first birthday. The team at Dolci Memela made the most beautiful and delicious cake! It was vanilla cake with chantilly frosting and raspberries inside. My daughter and everyone at her birthday party loved it! Highly recommend.

We stayed on this street in Milan, and it was a great little bakery for breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The sandwiches and pastries were delicious. The seating was comfortable. Highly recommended if you're looking for breakfast in Milan.
