12/04/2026: A perfect dining experience. Lucky enough to be seated at the window next to the river, and enjoyed a bruschette, lasagna ragu, and a tiramisu. The food was incredible, the best lasagna I have ever tried in my life. The tiramisu was wonderful to cap it off as well. Service was also top notch from wine recommendations to making sure we got our food when we wanted and let us enjoy our meal. Absolute 10/10 spot, would go back tomorrow and recommend you do the same! (But leave the window for me 🙂)

11/04/2026: Adriano is helpful and friendly. Delicious, homemade food, typical Tuscan. Balcony tables overlooking the Arno River, beautiful view, covered, delicious food. Recommended for tourists and locals alike. Excellent.

15/04/2026: This restaurant is a huge disappointment. The food is not ok, definitely overcharged. The hot plates are tepid and the taste is… there is not much taste. The risotto ball from the seafood menu has a very appealing “Volcano and Lava” look, but it has a very hard and firm exterior instead of crispy and crunchy. Not mentioning the spaghetti with no salt, and the ice-cream filled with ice pieces. What really makes me very uncomfortable is that: we were the first guests arrived that night WITH a reservation. However, a waitress seated us in the worst spot - very tight space between two doors, one leads to the kitchen and toilet, and the other one to another dinning room. This means, people (waiters and other guests) continuously and super closely passing us every 5 seconds through the whole dinner time, bringing the breeze and the tiny “earthquake“ (thanks to the loosen floor). What makes this worse: Another group (also 3 people) came right AFTER us, was seated by the window with a street view and with a romantically decorated leafy wall. The same waitress, during our first plate, came to the table and asked if she could already take the plates away… (Everyone’s plate was just half finished, we sent no signs of finishing with the cutlery…) It seemed that she really wanted us to finish quickly and kicked us out of there… Therefore, if you still want to try with this restaurant, I would recommend to walk-in directly and say no to this awfully located table and their seafood menu. We understand that Florence is extremely touristic, but this was literally the only bad dinning experience we had there.

15/04/2026: Avoid the tasting menu, is overpriced. We had "the sea" menu and not a single one of the dishes tasted good, in fact they had no taste at all. For the price they cost, is terrible. Also avoid the pairing wine is just equally terrible. Cheap wines that were open for a while. Overall, just NOT worth the money. On top of that, we were seated in the worst table, and the lights are so dim that is hard to see. We saw some people using their phone's flashlights ro see the menu XD.

13/04/2026: Fantastic evening. The place was amazing, and the staff were even more amazing, especially Sauro, thank you so much! The best and most tender meat I've ever eaten, especially the cheek! We'll definitely be back.

31/03/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant in a city of wonderful restaurants. Ranging from exceptional Tuscan dishes to Asian/Spanish fusion, Caffe has become one of my favorites. Service exceeds expectations. Amazing wine list. Creative, delicious dishes. The cherry on the cake is the amazing Arno/sunset views.

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

13/04/2026: Simply magnificent. A very classy place, breathtaking views, and attentive service. We went for a drink and ended up having a small dessert to go with it. It was excellent!

29/03/2026: We booked lunch here to celebrate our anniversary. Food, service and wine were amazing. The pigeon and mullet were the standout dishes for me. Also loved their twist on a ‘cheesecake’.

Excellent food, original and refined dishes, impeccable service, and a garden view with plants and trees lit up like a dream. A special thanks to Anna and all the staff for their helpfulness and professionalism. We highly recommend it.

07/04/2026: We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday at the Chalet. The location was beautiful and well-maintained, with convenient parking. The service and friendliness were impeccable. The quality and courtesy were excellent, and the buffet dinner was much appreciated. The beautiful spring evening allowed us to linger in the beautifully maintained garden, and all our guests were comfortable and satisfied.

26/03/2026: Took the Florentian Steak- it was huge, butcat the same time delicious

25/03/2026: Known as the oldest restaurants in Florence, people come here for the ambience and the steak. From the second I entered, I had top-notch service by the owner and my waiter. The sage gnocchi is to die for. I also had the florentine steak for one, which is A LOT but worth it! The ambience here is great too, I wish they had some quiet music playing in the background though, it was very quiet when it had opened at 7 pm and people started dining.
