28/04/2026: Excellent restaurant. This place takes pride in their food. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. The sandwiches were incredibly fresh and delicious. I tried things I historically have disliked and greatly enjoyed them here. Great view and atmosphere. Passion for the food is evident in every bite.

25/04/2026: Fantastic, a very nice place, and very good food, very friendly and professional, my friends and I loved it, we sat at one of the tables by the window and the best views of the Ponte Vecchio are impossible, great, congratulations, we will be back.

15/04/2026: Avoid the tasting menu, is overpriced. We had "the sea" menu and not a single one of the dishes tasted good, in fact they had no taste at all. For the price they cost, is terrible. Also avoid the pairing wine is just equally terrible. Cheap wines that were open for a while. Overall, just NOT worth the money. On top of that, we were seated in the worst table, and the lights are so dim that is hard to see. We saw some people using their phone's flashlights ro see the menu XD.

15/04/2026: This restaurant is a huge disappointment. The food is not ok, definitely overcharged. The hot plates are tepid and the taste is… there is not much taste. The risotto ball from the seafood menu has a very appealing “Volcano and Lava” look, but it has a very hard and firm exterior instead of crispy and crunchy. Not mentioning the spaghetti with no salt, and the ice-cream filled with ice pieces. What really makes me very uncomfortable is that: we were the first guests arrived that night WITH a reservation. However, a waitress seated us in the worst spot - very tight space between two doors, one leads to the kitchen and toilet, and the other one to another dinning room. This means, people (waiters and other guests) continuously and super closely passing us every 5 seconds through the whole dinner time, bringing the breeze and the tiny “earthquake“ (thanks to the loosen floor). What makes this worse: Another group (also 3 people) came right AFTER us, was seated by the window with a street view and with a romantically decorated leafy wall. The same waitress, during our first plate, came to the table and asked if she could already take the plates away… (Everyone’s plate was just half finished, we sent no signs of finishing with the cutlery…) It seemed that she really wanted us to finish quickly and kicked us out of there… Therefore, if you still want to try with this restaurant, I would recommend to walk-in directly and say no to this awfully located table and their seafood menu. We understand that Florence is extremely touristic, but this was literally the only bad dinning experience we had there.

03/04/2026: Such a great find! The service was exceptional — our server was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The food was absolutely delicious, and the location is simply beautiful. So happy we found this place. Highly recommend!

31/03/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant in a city of wonderful restaurants. Ranging from exceptional Tuscan dishes to Asian/Spanish fusion, Caffe has become one of my favorites. Service exceeds expectations. Amazing wine list. Creative, delicious dishes. The cherry on the cake is the amazing Arno/sunset views.

11/05/2026: Honestly, I expected better. The Chianina sushi wasn't anything special, but the zucchini flowers were good. The meat menu was disappointing... a mini burger, some roast beef with a burnt sauce, a mini tartare, and a few slices of carpaccio, all for €29—a bit of a steal. The steak was decent, although you can find softer cuts around. Unfortunately, these are now the norm in the city center, geared toward tourists in terms of both price and quality. It's a shame, but I don't blame them at all. Tourists pay well and don't know much about Italian food. For the prices paid around, you can find much better.

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

13/05/2026: Atmosphere is amazing, the view is absolutely stunning especially during sunset! Unfortunately, that’s where it ends, waiter is inattentive and was not aware of what items were ordered. Granted the food & drinks are priced aggressively, but to wait 25 min to place an order and another 1hr and 20 min for the food to get here after multiple guest have received the same dish is where I’m in awe. I would just suggest getting a drink and enjoying the view, but do not put your trust In anything else.

12/05/2026: I made a birthday reservation, which was accepted for 1:30 pm on the rooftop for lunch. When we arrived, they were closing up for lunch, and they rushed us to order. The rooftop was closed, with no view—disappointing. They need to state this on their website. They need to indicate that the rooftop is unavailable at lunchtime, so we had to eat inside. The food was very good, and the service was good too. However, they ruined my mother's birthday. And they need to state this on their website: that the rooftop is closed for lunch. They wouldn't even let us take a photo up there, even though we had a reservation.

10/05/2026: My lunch break safe haven. Al dente pasta with flavorful sauces so rich they seem homemade (their Carbonara is dangerously addictive). ​Their strong point is that they don't shy away from portion sizes: the standard portion starts at 120g, which is a great starting point to avoid returning to the office hungry, but for really tough days, they offer XL and Double versions. ​The staff are the icing on the cake: friendly, fast, and—believably—still smiling despite the lunchtime chaos. The atmosphere is quiet, and the outdoor tables are perfect for enjoying a bit of fresh air between rigatoni. Highly recommended if you're looking for substance without too many frills.

10/05/2026: Excellent experience, as always, at Aqaba! We come often and have always had excellent food, both pizza and fish, but today, for my daughter's First Communion, they truly outdid themselves. Exceptional menu: rich and carefully prepared appetizers with crostini, bruschetta, cured meats, and a truly delicious porcini mushroom flan with pecorino fondue. Spectacular first courses, from paccheri with scottona ragù and 24-month-old Parmigiano to risotto with broccoli, burrata, and walnut crumble. Impeccable second courses include sliced ​​beef and pork tenderloin with roast potatoes. A truly extraordinary finish with a mille-feuille with Chantilly cream, simply incredible! Impeccable service, fast and always attentive. Everything was fabulous, highly recommended!

10/05/2026: Very nice service and atmosphere, however I would like to report an act of misleading advertising because when you enter the menu as a cover photo you will see a tartar dish that then in reality it is not possible to order since despite the cover image it is not present in the menu

05/05/2026: It wasn't my lucky night, let's say. I had a tuna tartare (average) and a pizza. As for the pizzas (mine and my friends'), we were disappointed by the length of the wait and because when they arrived, they were lukewarm and crumbly like biscuits. Bad.

22/04/2026: This restaurant is justly known by neighbors for superb seafood and fantastic pizza. Confirming that reputation, Bill and I had one fabulous meal here, then returned for a second .The servers treated us as if we were family; Esmeland and Pasquale recognized us immediately upon our second visit and were incredibly friendly and charming. They have a passion for this restaurant and giving excellent service. (Pasquale is the fourth generation in the restaurant business.) They remembered us after two days, despite having many visitors in between. The seafood is excellent and so is the pizza, often made with distinctive ingredients and flavors. Bravo!!

18/04/2026: I passed the test!! The lady at the entrance, the one dressed in blue like a run-down hostess, said yes!!! After looking me up and down, she told me there was a free table at the bar for us!! Eureka... but won't you check the soles of my shoes? You know what? You missed an opportunity, I'm turning heel and going to give my money to someone more discreet and refined than you. Are you bragging? You've got the wrong target, turn your gaze to all those American tourists sprawled on your exquisite sofas, not caring about your grand dame airs.

12/01/2026: Cute bar for a little stop and break on your tour of Florence. Not ridiculously priced for where it is!
