12/08/2025: Pizzeria San Martino, a few steps from my house and somewhat hidden, is nevertheless well-known in the area. In the first two or three years after opening, it stood out for its attention to every detail: a tidy place, impeccable service, and consistently excellent pizza. After a few years, the quality of the pizza has remained extremely high—truly among the best—as has the service and the welcoming, pleasant atmosphere inside. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the outdoor area. During nights and on days when it's closed, the terrace becomes a place of passage and rest for people who leave it in a shabby condition, significantly degrading its overall image. This unfortunately takes away from the place's charm, to the point that, even when it reopens at the end of the summer, those who pass by during these weeks are unlikely to have a good impression. My advice is to consider permanently removing the terrace and replacing it with a well-kept and striking entrance: two tall, elegant candles, or two slender, well-kept flowerpots, perhaps with a nice rug at the entrance. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, but the current exterior risks putting off customers. It would be a shame not to take action, given the excellent quality of the cuisine.

18/10/2025: A definite highlight of our trip to Lake Como. The view is spectacular, even at night! We're a younger American couple and we were treated very kindly by all the staff, so I was surprised to see other reviews stating differently. Marlene, our server, was especially charming and made the evening fun! Our meal was delicious from the beginning with the olive tapenade and the goat cheese+veg app. If you go, absolutely get the tiramasu for dessert - the best I've ever had! We hadn't planned to stop here, but walking in the area is difficult (get a taxi, it's worth it), and in the end I'm so glad we did!

08/03/2026: The premise seemed good, but be careful, because it doesn't mention that along with the 18th birthday tickets, tickets are sold to huge outside groups, both in the afternoon (until 10 pm) and in the evening. In our case, we only discovered that evening that a Latin American night had been organized, so the music was Latin music all evening. To get commercial music (which had been guaranteed on several occasions), the birthday girl and her guests had to constantly ask the DJ, only getting two or three commercial tracks. The disorganized cloakroom (which greatly delayed guests' access to the party and then their exit when the tickets didn't match the jackets) is just a minor detail compared to the atmosphere we found upon arrival, which was very different from what we might have imagined from the description of the evening we'd been given during our inspection of the venue. The owners try to accommodate requests, but unfortunately, mixing too many different situations and types of guests together, I believe, only creates great confusion and discomfort for everyone. What a shame!

16/02/2026: Having to go to the spa, we took a bit of a long drive to get lunch at this place because it looked nice... we arrived and found it closed when it clearly said it was open. A very bad experience.

18/10/2025: I go there often because it is in a fantastic location and I must say that even though it was quite busy the service was quite fast. I had the bigoli with mussels twice but while the first time I liked it a lot the second time after a month it was too salty almost inedible.

03/03/2026: I came here last night with friends. The beer was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food isn't their strong point, but it's a great place for a drink. It wasn't very crowded, so it wasn't noisy, and the service was fairly quick. They even have a very friendly dog ​​that's happy to pet.

27/02/2026: We went here for dinner. Restaurants in the area are very crowded. Here, there were still plenty of free tables. The food isn't even worth one star. The pizzas were burnt black, and the toppings, like onions with the cores and huge chunks of other ingredients, were just thrown on. The porcini mushrooms, which were spongy and mushy, gave me an upset stomach. The soup was overcooked and tasted like instant soup. Overall, the quality is abysmal. It's a shame, because the ambiance is very nice, if you disregard being seated in the very back corner, even though there was plenty of space. After the meal, the service was nowhere to be seen. We were better off having dessert elsewhere.

04/02/2026: I came here for dinner. The food was extraordinary, but what struck me most was the kindness and friendliness of the staff, especially Niccolò and Francesco, two delightful people. Thank you again, and I'll definitely be back next year!

22/07/2025: Sono stato ospite di questo ristorante su suggerimento di amici. La struttura gode di una posizione privilegiata, situata nel centro storico di Sirmione e affacciata sul suggestivo scenario del lago di Garda, offrendo così un contesto ambientale di grande fascino. Il servizio si è rivelato nel complesso cortese e sufficientemente attento, seppur privo di elementi distintivi. Per quanto concerne l’offerta gastronomica, essa appare orientata prevalentemente a un target turistico. La mia compagna ha gustato un piatto di chitarrine con gamberi e pistacchio, risultato equilibrato e piacevole. Personalmente ho optato per il primo del giorno a base di cozze e pesto: una proposta non sgradevole, ma priva di particolare carattere, probabilmente penalizzata dall’utilizzo di pasta precotta, elemento comprensibile in contesti ad alto flusso ma comunque poco valorizzante. La nota più negativa della serata è stata il dessert. Invogliato dall’aspetto dei dolci esposti nel frigorifero, ho ordinato una panna cotta ai frutti di bosco. Purtroppo, quella servita al tavolo non corrispondeva affatto all’aspetto del dolce esposto: era evidentemente non fresca e presentava persino tracce di muffa su uno dei frutti. Ciò che più mi ha deluso, tuttavia, è stata la mancanza di attenzione nella gestione della segnalazione: né un gesto di cortesia né una semplice scusa da parte del personale. Il dolce è stato semplicemente sostituito con uno più fresco.Un comportamento più premuroso avrebbe senz’altro contribuito a ridimensionare l’accaduto. A titolo costruttivo, invito la direzione a prestare maggiore cura alla qualità dell’offerta e alla gestione del cliente, affinché l’eccellenza della location sia rispecchiata da un’esperienza all’altezza delle aspettative.

08/01/2026: I wasn't expecting such a welcoming and clean place. The service was friendly and helpful. The dishes we ordered were delicious: polenta and lake fish, a trio of polenta and sauces, and a plate of paccheri with fish. Everything was good, even the timing of the dishes.

15/12/2025: Awful. Expensive and the worst meal of my life. I absolutely do not recommend it. Awful. Pasta with ketchup? Seriously… And they gave us a supposed seafood dish from the lake, but it was a frozen fish head that tasted terrible. The worst in Italy.
