18/09/2025: Al Veluu came as a highly recommended restaurant and it was such a disappointment. My bf and I came here for our first night of vacation dinner, it’s important to note, we’re 26. When we first arrived the server gave us our menus and quickly took our orders, I found it strange that they didn’t offer specials with such a limited menu, but no big deal. We ordered filet for dinner for 2, “cooked table-side” (according to the menu) for $100. The waiter told us we “probably wouldn’t like the mustard sauce” and offered us a red wine sauce instead, great, so we thought. About 20 minutes after we were sat another older American couple (probably late 40s) was sat next to us and we overheard the waiter listing a round of specials. Initially just disappointed we didn’t hear them, we assumed the server forgot (happens!). They also ordered the steak dinner for two. When our steaks came out, i was surprised they weren’t cooked tableside as the menu said, but they were decent and we were modestly happy with them. However, when the older American couples steaks began to be actually cooked table side, we were VERY confused. For one, why were theirs cooked table side and ours weren’t? And then we saw their steaks. The size and quality difference in the cuts of meat we were offered was night and day. While we were served small/thinner (6oz) serlions, they were served HUGE thick filets. At this point we were SO CONFUSED and should have said something but we had finished our meal, been there for 2 hours and wanted dessert and to leave. The tiramisu was fantastic. Finally, they offered to call us a cab which we accepted, except we wouldn’t have if we knew it would take over an hour to arrive and we watched 4 other tables get priority and their cabs were called after ours, picked them up first. Again, could have been down to situation except we were all staying in the same hotel .5 a mile away. My bf and I felt like the staff saw a young couple and assumed we either didn’t have money or didn’t know what to expect of a high class restaurant experience. Either way - it was clear our experience was incredibly different from those around us.

05/10/2025: The owner stands in front of the restaurant to recruit customers by offering pizzoccheri and sciat. I don't recommend them, they have nothing to do with the original recipes and are in terrible taste.

11/06/2025: Mejor tener reservas si quieres estar fuera. El guardia del museo nos dijo que no conseguiríamos una mesa. Me alegro de haber ido. Sentado dentro pero capaz de ver el Duomo. Excelente comida, buena camarera. Muchos turistas, pero no es sorprendente.

10/06/2025: Fuimos con mi familia (4 personas) a los 16. 00 (por lo que el lugar estaba medio vacío) y quería pedir 3 platos y 4 bebidas (3 de ellos cócteles). La respuesta del personal fue que deberíamos pedir al menos 4 para poder ser atendidos. Les dije que el lugar está vacío y las bebidas cuestan más que el plato extra que están pidiendo, pero dijeron simplemente que no, así que nos fuimos y fuimos a otro lugar. Esta es la estupidez de una política y una vergüenza de hospitalidad. . . . no vayas, no te merecen!

24/08/2025: One of the best pizzas we've ever tried! Both were very, very good. The truffle pizza was a house recommendation, and although it was quite a bit more expensive for a pizza, it was worth it. I have to say the mortadella and pistachio pizza was just as good.

22/08/2025: We've been asked to sit at a 2 people table which was unstable even when 2 ladies behind us were sitting at 4 people table. The food was not satisfying. The ammount was good but the taste was not it (Spaghetti pomodoro). The pizza was burnt around the sides and from the bottom and taste-wise was kinda ok (Pizza margarita). For the price I would NOT recommend.

03/09/2025: Beautiful place when we met everyone was welcoming I like it a lot shame that my friend had already finished everything and I didn't have the pizza yet so he had to wait for me to finish but I wasn't shocked nice place

02/11/2025: We stayed one night in this hotel, a big brother type room, that is, in a hovel with no assistance, paying 85 euros which is not worth it, dirty, plus zero breakfast, I do not recommend it to anyone, oops, dead bugs everywhere, it could close for us!

25/09/2025: Good service. But the rooms are scary. Full of spiders, dead and live bugs, and very damp.

18/10/2025: I go there often because it is in a fantastic location and I must say that even though it was quite busy the service was quite fast. I had the bigoli with mussels twice but while the first time I liked it a lot the second time after a month it was too salty almost inedible.

02/10/2025: Yes, I'd love to go back. Unfortunately, I didn't have any salt and pepper mills on the table; inferior salt and pepper shakers were standing in place for hours... The Greek salad was fresh, and without the sauce, it would have been great for seasoning... The seafood frito misto was also delicious, but unfortunately, the shrimp were almost impossible to peel, and the intestines were still in there... you can't be serious. The cheesecake with avocado, cream cheese, and wild salmon was very good, a good idea. A fine marinade for the salmon would have been the icing on the cake. The bass was beautifully fried, with a potato tart to go with it... Very peaceful and relaxing under the trees today.

20/09/2025: I've never eaten a worse pizza in Italy. This wasn't pizza dough, but something else. No spices, oregano, salt, or anything similar. 1 out of 5 points. Even the spaghetti aglio e olio that my wife ordered was just spicy. And the portion was a bit too much for my stomach.

17/09/2025: Reviews from a few years ago are positive, but... From a few years ago. The food is tasteless, the meat smells stale, the prices are terrible, and the toilet is dirty.

06/06/2025: Sono stata qui a cena per un compleanno. Il locale è molto bello e curato, immerso nel verde e circondato da piscine. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, prodotti freschi e piatti curati e saporiti. Buon servizio. Unica pecca: porzioni un po’ risicate e prezzi un po’ altini (per essere fuori Milano).

19/05/2025: Il posto è bello e suggestivo, anche se, il navigatore, ti porta all’ingresso del centro sportivo…e dalla strada non è tanto semplice e intuito raggiungerlo, per chi non lo conosce. Giornata di menù fisso per comunioni e compleanni. Decidiamo di non optare per il menù fisso perché è disponibile un menu alla carta…! Per quanto sia bello e suggestivo, il servizio lascia molto a desiderare. Da quando ci siamo seduti a quando ci hanno preso l’ordine sono passati più di 30 minuti, nonostante avessimo deciso da un po’ e segnalato ai camerieri che fossimo pronti. I camerieri, tanti e confusionari. Chi ti dava del tu, chi del lei, chi del voi. Finalmente arriva il ragazzo a prendere l’ordine …scazzato e svogliato, non ci dà alcun tipo di consiglio. Si capiva che fosse infastidito del fatto che non avessimo optato per il menù fisso ma, non è colpa nostra sé viene data la possibilità di scegliere alla carta. Ci chiede che vino volessimo ma, la carta dei vini non c’era stata consegnata con il menù. Finalmente ordiniamo. Da quando ha preso l’ordine all’arrivo dell’ antipasto passano 40 minuti circa. Un altra mezz’ora abbondante perché arrivino i primi che vengono portati separatamente. Prima le sei pasta e vongole, poi chiediamo degli altri due, pacchero e carbonara, che arrivano separatamente anche quelli, prima il pacchero e poi la carbonara. È bello mangiare tutti insieme non separatamente …! Altri venti minuti per tre fritture. Offri la possibilità, oltre al menù fisso, un menu alla carta? La cucina deve essere organizzata con una linea per il menù fisso e una linea per i menu alla carta. Se poi l’organizzazione manca non è colpa del cliente, a cui viene data la possibilità di scegliere un menù alla carta. Dalle 13:30 che ci siamo seduti, ci siamo alzati alle 17:30 circa…non è poca l’attesa. Non so a quanto sia ammontato il conto, perché eravamo ospiti, in ogni caso, non sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Do un buono come valutazione perché la location è molto bella. Il servizio merita un due, capisco la giornata ma, troppo lenti e confusionari. Il cibo è buono. Mi spiace dirlo perché il potenziale c’è ma, non ci ritornerei.

19/07/2025: L'accueil est gentil mais ni le lieu ni les plats ne méritent vraiment le déplacement. Des pizzas et quelques plats sans grande saveur sur une terrasse sans vue sur le lac. Grande déception compte tenu des avis.

11/09/2025: The woman working behind the bar was a disaster! She shouldn’t be working there. We ordered on the spot and she brought the food in takeaway boxes. We opened them to eat, and she started yelling that this isn’t a campsite 🤦‍♂️😂. Such rudeness! Best to avoid this place if you can. The spaghetti carbonara was bitter, the pizza was eatable.

07/06/2025: Premetto che non è mia consuetudine scrivere recensioni né in senso positivo che negativo. Trovare insalata nel mio piatto ancora sporca di terra non è stato gradevole. A maggior motivo quando la stessa cosa è avvenuta ad un amica seduta al tavolo con me. Fatto presente il tutto al cameriere lo stesso si è ripetutamente scusato eliminando le portate dal conto. Purtroppo devo constatare che la qualità dei piatti in generale è peggiorata rispetto ad alcuni (pochi) anni fa. Rapporto qualità prezzo non adeguato. Nb. Da porre attenzione agli scontrini. In due occasioni distinte ( pranzo di Pasqua e pranzo con amici) vi erano più pietanze di quelle ordinate). LOCATION STUPENDA

30/05/2025: Bella la presentazione ma il cibo nulla di eccezionale, vale di più il panorama con la vista sul lago. Non penso di ritornarci.
