15/02/2026: A disappointing experience on Valentine's Day. We waited a long time for both our initial drink and the bread, which arrived only after a prompt. The first course arrived after about an hour and a half, with the explanation being an order issue. Unexpected events can happen, but the situation was handled horribly: no clear communication and uncontrolled timing, with only two waiters for the entire room. While we were still eating our first course, we were served our second courses, as if they were just trying to save time. When it came to the bill, jokingly pointing out that they seemed to have forgotten about us, the owner replied, "A little bit of everything," with no real apology and no commercial gesture despite the poor service. It's a shame because the food was good, but the service ruined what should have been a special evening.

15/02/2026: Good morning, I wanted to tell you that last night (Valentine's Day 2026) was a beautiful evening, both in terms of atmosphere and music with a live guitarist, but... An hour and a half to receive a first course, a second course, and a side dish seems excessive and unacceptable! The food was delicious, but between the appetizer, cheese, and jam, and the first course, second course, and side dish, far too much time passed. It was almost embarrassing for the staff; everyone at the table complained! The staff was also very inattentive; they didn't clear the wine glasses for those of us who don't drink wine. They cleared the dirty dishes from the table after 20-30 minutes... Honestly, it wasn't the evening I imagined. Furthermore, they didn't leave the book I had requested and already paid for on the table; in fact, I had to ask for it at the cashier! Let's just say you have a lot of room for improvement, especially given the restaurant's prices, these inattentiveness and delays are unacceptable. At the cashier's desk, they apologized for the delay, but there was no financial return. Frankly, I was somewhat disappointed with the evening. I also wrote to you to encourage you to improve.

27/12/2025: Il Cantinone is a perfect blend of haute cuisine and mountain life. The warm atmosphere and impeccable service make you feel at the center of everything, even when the restaurant is full. Chef Stefano and his quest for unique flavors ensured that we still remember every taste we experienced during the four days we ate there. Raffaella always finds a way to help you find the wine you're looking for. We'll do it again!

20/04/2026: The restaurant's strong point is its location, with its large park. The interior is also very well-maintained and elegant. As for the menu, we ate well, although we would have liked slightly larger portions. The cod-stuffed buttons were only four, while the octopus, costing almost €30, consisted of a single tentacle... The chef's risotto and the buckwheat pappardelle with suckling pig ragù are highly recommended.

The service is fast and the staff is very friendly. The location is excellent, as it can be reached directly from the ski slopes without having to leave them. 06/05/2026: It's impossible to stroll around the city center and not be struck by the charm of this place. We decide to stop. After sitting us down, they bring us the menu. From there on, it's a total debacle. Not because of the food, which is truly excellent, but because of the management, which I would describe as "not particularly organized." After a half-hour wait, they finally take our order and apologize for the wait. After another 30 minutes, they bring us the wine we ordered, saying they'd bring the ice bucket right away. They return after 15 minutes... Finally, the food begins to arrive: Everything is excellent! Naturally, we forgo dessert and liqueur to avoid another hour of waiting and head straight to the cash register, where we find a girl asking for the menu. They reply, "We'll bring it to you," and the girl replies, "We're in a hurry, we can't wait another hour." Therefore, this restaurant is highly recommended only to those who aren't in the slightest hurry and who know how to avoid getting "tangled up" over some "poor service."

There's a family atmosphere. The cuisine is excellent, with generous and authentic dishes. It's also an ideal starting point for excursions.

20/10/2025: A welcoming and quaint restaurant nestled in the woods at an altitude of 1,500 meters, on the road to Preda Rossa. Excellent for lunch or dinner, with a wide selection of delicious local dishes, or even a quick stop for a simple coffee and a slice of their delicious cakes.

05/04/2026: The 4.5 rating appears to be from the previous diner. We visited the restaurant to try the classic dishes on the menu. Lured by the inviting ambiance with its beautiful white tablecloths, we had high expectations. The fact that there were only a few guests at the time initially led us to attribute it to the higher price point – however, in retrospect, this suggests other explanations. The dishes in retrospect: • Vitello Tonnato: A very minimalist approach was taken here. The meat was the absolute focus and had a very firm texture. Since the sauce was used very sparingly, the meat's natural flavor remained completely pure and dry. • Caesar Salad: A dish for those who like it rustic. The meat topping was remarkably firm and offered extreme resistance when chewing – definitely a departure from the usual succulence. • Spaghetti Carbonara: This variation was very meat-heavy. The sausage component was so dominant that the pasta and the actual sauce were almost completely overshadowed. Unfortunately, the dish lacked any balance from a technical standpoint, as the excessive seasoning completely stifled any hint of Italian lightness. A very unusual experience that, sadly, failed to impress. In conclusion: The kitchen here takes a very unique approach to textures, intense seasoning, and the proportions of ingredients. For lovers of classic, succulent Italian cuisine, however, this presents a challenge. We've had the experience once and will leave it at that. Fortunately, we found a fantastic restaurant just a short distance away in town that completely satisfied our culinary desires – we immediately made a reservation for our second evening there.

18/03/2026: The Risorgimento restaurant in Sirmione no longer exists. It has changed ownership and its name. Now, that place is a tourist restaurant like so many others.
