28/10/2025: A restaurant overlooking the Scaligero Castle. We had lunch for four, sharing an appetizer (very good fried gnocco and excellent hand-sliced ​​raw ham) and pizzas. Nothing exceptional, but good and well-cooked. Excellent value, especially considering the central location and the prices of other restaurants.

04/11/2025: I came here for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend. We showed up at 9:00, and the place was packed with children between the ages of 1 and 3 celebrating their birthdays. They assured us they'd leave soon, but that wasn't the case. Despite the noise, we sat at a table in a terrible location and were brought our welcome appetizer, a couscous filled with nuts. Luckily, my boyfriend noticed, because I'm allergic, and the waiter simply placed it on the table without explaining anything. I find it absurd that a dish containing nuts is served without request without explaining how much was in it. The dinner continued with mediocre dishes and a main course (spicy roast pork) that we couldn't finish because it was inedible, the spices were unbalanced, and the vegetables were so hard to chew that they had to be spat out. To conclude this pleasant evening, having left before the herd of children, we paid an exorbitant price compared to the service and food consumed.

01/11/2025: Incredible musical evening, repeated every Tuesday and Friday. Excellent food and wine, friendly staff. We'll be back.

24/04/2025: Disfrutamos de nuestra segunda visita en tantos años a Sant 'Ambroeus. El menú es muy local y muy bueno. Los cursos de pasta y ternera fueron fantásticos Mientras está situado en la plaza principal, todavía puede tener una cena íntima mientras disfruta de la actividad que rodea la plaza. La carta de vinos es fantástica, con muchas opciones no disponibles en los Estados Unidos, que es refrescante. Fue un restaurante maravilloso para nuestra última noche en esta mágica ciudad vieja.

25/02/2025: One of the best hotels ever! There are so many things to say, but one stands out: the owner, Mr. Fioroni. A man who will make your stay unforgettable. An artist, musician, writer, an invaluable figure, a historic figure in this delightful village, and, in short, a friend to every guest. A unique, incomparable experience that will allow you to discover true Italian culture, made of stories, music, and good food. The historic venue is beautifully enhanced by the small piazza and the sweeping view of the lake. Just a few meters away, every service and fair prices.

26/11/2025: Excellent service but tired menu. Booked this restaurant as it was the only Michelin Bib Gourmand we could get a reservation at and ended up being the ONLY ones in the place. It’s clear, now from photos, that this place has served the same tired pork ribs and fusilli dishes forever. The ribs were dry and not remarkably flavorful, the pasta was under-sauced and dry. The pumpkin morbido was OK, but a bit too sweet for our tastes. Restaurant doesn’t appear to have a wine by the glass menu, but did offer us two glasses of wine - I imagine the staff finished the rest of the bottle. Overall, not impressed. Would have expected that the menu would be fresh and seasonal to get the attention of Michelin.

23/11/2025: The food is very good. The staff is helpful, friendly, and never intrusive. The location is easy to reach from the main road, but the dining room's position makes it feel like you're on a hill.

18/12/2025: The food was unremarkable and without any blemishes, the atmosphere was beautiful and refined, but very noisy, and the service was quite attentive and fast. Many business dinners we've had here didn't contribute to the atmosphere... the steak was rare and arrived really overcooked... a shame, because the appetizers and desserts were tasty and well-prepared.

28/11/2025: Excellent. For comfort, especially the rooms overlooking the lake. The rooms are small, but the place is worth staying in for two days. The breakfast was very good and sufficient. The visit was on November 21, 2025.

30/10/2025: My recommendation in Domaso on the Alto Lario. Excellent value for money. Exceptionally professional service and a lovely atmosphere with carefully selected background music. The food from the concise menu is outstanding and attractively presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.

16/09/2025: We were here with our 7-month-old daughter. The ambiance and service were really excellent. The pizza is definitely recommended. The chef just needs to improve the pasta. The pasta with vongole tasted very bland. It lacked that certain something I expect from pasta in Italy. It was probably the lack of garlic. Instead, there was gold leaf on top, which of course didn't make it any better. Otherwise, a really nice place!

30/10/2025: Questionable value for money. Meat served on a hot griddle that leaves smoke and a stench in the room. Michelin-starred prices, but the atmosphere and dishes aren't even star-studded, even on a clear day!

19/10/2025: There were two of us there. The food was okay, but in my opinion, overpriced and not justified. We were also surprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Friday night.

19/12/2025: I am deeply devastated and desperate. For days I haven't been able to recover, nor has my body… I came to Milan to try all the Italian specialties the whole internet is buzzing about. Little did I know… The restaurant is located right in the heart of Milan, just steps away from the Duomo. I walk in, sit down at a table, and expect a top-tier carbonara. However, from the very first interaction with the waiter, I felt that something was off. Despite the scandalous prices, I order my dish and receive what appears to be a decent carbonara. But appearances can be deceiving… I take the first bite and realise the pasta is COMPLETELY COLD! I decide to get over it and move on, but the dish is prepared in such a way that it’s simply inedible. Besides being cold, the pasta was bland, unsalted, dry, and the pancetta was overcooked… As if it had been made by animals… Starving and on the verge of passing out, I somehow managed to overcome half of the portion. At that moment, my body was overtaken by an unbearable wave of nausea and dizziness. I waited, and when I realized I was helpless and that my body couldn't control the reaction-as if it had been poisoned-I decided to go to the restroom, hoping I would feel better. I go to the bathroom, and that's where this horror reaches its climax. There was only one thing separating me from complete vomiting, and that was the smell of the restroom itself. The moment I stepped inside, it was over. From my mouth erupted the sludge of what is named carbonara in this restaurant. Everything went black before my eyes, I didn't know where I was, and the carbonara was unstoppable… After realizing I was still alive, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw an exhausted, tormented woman. Without hesitation, I paid my bill, grabbed my things, and ran away without looking back. I wouldn't wish such a crime of a meal on my worst enemy. No words…

23/11/2025: A very special place with lots of vintage items that make it unique. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly place. I had pizza, a calzone, and a sandwich. I've been several times and always been satisfied. The food was good and the portions were generous. Recommended!
