01/08/2026: Unfortunately, this place isn't what it used to be. We eagerly awaited its reopening, being regulars in the neighborhood, but we were disappointed because the quality has changed. The prices are high for what's served. The appetizers, for example, are decidedly expensive: three croquettes for €10, zucchini flowers for €8, and there are also errors in the preparation, such as the breading being too thick and completely covering the flavor. The prices for first courses are no less than €18, and the second courses are all around €22 or more, and unfortunately, every dish leaves the same impression: not bad, but not really good either. It lacks flavor, care, and the passion we remembered from the old management. It's difficult to pinpoint what has changed, but the end result is clear. Today, ordering an appetizer, a first or second course, and a glass of wine, it's difficult to spend less than €38-40 per person. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the food doesn't live up to the asking price. I hope this review, along with the other negative comments left by loyal customers like us, will be taken as a stimulus to improve. It would be a shame to permanently lose what was once one of our go-to restaurants.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella! Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway. The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes. The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome. We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.

04/07/2026: If I could give this hotel negative stars I would We were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness and overall condition of this hotel. The bathroom in our original room was absolutely filthy, with obvious mold covering the tiles and grout. It was completely unacceptable, unhygienic, and should never have been offered to paying guests.The hotel itself is badly run down and in desperate need of a full refurbishment, especially the bathrooms. What’s even more concerning is that countless other reviews mention the exact same problems. This clearly isn’t an isolated incident it’s an ongoing issue that management has chosen not to properly address. Simply moving guests from one room to another instead of fixing the underlying problems is not an acceptable solution.The lack of available rooms during our stay made the situation even worse. We were left with very limited options, which was incredibly frustrating and had a significant negative impact on our trip. For the price charged, the standard of cleanliness and maintenance falls far below what any guest should reasonably expect.Until management takes responsibility for the persistent cleanliness and maintenance issues that guests have been reporting for so long, I cannot recommend staying here.

27/06/2026: The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very kind and helpful. Our room was good, the aircon did work which helped a lot with the heatwave, the bathroom was very clean - however the toilet seat was unattached. The location is good with a bus stop right outside for good links into the city. The breakfast included and the rooftop bar was very nice. We Enjoyed our stay very much

12/06/2026: Major shortcomings for a "4-star" hotel The location of the hotel is good, but unfortunately it is also the only positive thing along with one specific person on the staff. The hotel is marketed as 4-star, but by Swedish standards it is at most a 2-star standard. * **Emanuel at the reception:** The absolute only person in the entire hotel who was empathetic, friendly and professional. A fantastically nice person who made our children feel genuinely welcome. Location: The hotel is well located. The negatives and shortcomings: Poor service: The woman who owned or was the manager of the hotel had no sense of service at all. You almost felt you owed her money just by existing, which created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. Worn out and in great need of renovation: The hotel is very old and worn out. There are broken tiles on the floors and the wallpaper has seen its best days. Dangerous bunk bed (disaster): The children's bunk bed was extremely small and so unstable that I was terrified that the children would fall out and hurt themselves. One of the children ended up sleeping on a mattress directly on the floor for safety reasons. Poor service: You only got one door key to the room, which is very impractical for a family. Hidden/extra costs: Despite the good location, nothing is included on the beach. You have to pay an extra €14 per day for a parasol and two sun loungers. **Summary:** We can go as far as to give the hotel 2 stars overall, and that's only because of Emanuel's fantastic service. We won't be back.

29/06/2026: I got pizza to go, it was delicious, and I didn't have to wait long. As soon as they took my order, they started cooking it right in front of me. They baked it in the oven and sliced ​​it. The price was a euro less than what was on the menu. The service was fast and humorous, and I loved everything about it. ❤️

12/03/2026: A very spacious and impressive venue. It presents itself as a high-end restaurant with very professional service and very high prices. It's a shame that the final result was very disappointing. An expensive fillet, tough as a rock... cooked quite well but probably of mediocre quality. The appetizers were also rather bland. The wait was excessively long, even though the restaurant was practically empty. The service, despite appearing very professional, also faltered on two or three occasions over trivial matters. Disappointing and overpriced for the quality of the food.

30/06/2026: Absolutely horrible. One particular staff member who was serving us was extremely rude and didn’t want to be there. Dirty glass/cutlery. Extremely expensive. Would give zero stars if that was an option.

08/04/2026: Friendly and helpful staff. I've been coming here for two months now, every time I travel from Naples to Rome for work. It's become my regular stop. Quality food, super efficient service, and truly fair prices. Every time, people are greeted with a warm, cheerful "Buongiorno!"

22/03/2026: A bit chaotic, the karaoke is fun, but the acoustics aren't great. It's worth spending an evening there.

10/01/2026: Invited for a group dinner, with a table reservation, the venue was hard to find and extremely difficult to park, with karaoke. The menu had limited choices and terrible food. The quality/price ratio was also terrible. The music was loud and it was impossible to talk to friends. Furthermore, as soon as we finished eating, they made us move from our table because they needed it for other groups, and they scattered us around the venue. An evening to forget!
