01/05/2026: A top location that we travel all the way to Sacile for. Once again, a truly wonderful culinary experience. The sea bass carp and the Dover sole with green asparagus were simply perfect on every level. This is what high-quality Italian cuisine should taste like. And top-notch service to boot. What more could you ask for? We're already looking forward to our next visit.

15/06/2026: Today we had a reservation for 6 people, and you closed the restaurant without letting us know!!! If this kind of behavior seems normal to you! We obviously won't be returning because I had to rearrange a business lunch, much to the shame of the guests who weren't expecting this surprise!

As for the food, the scallops still contained sand and would have benefited from greater care in their preparation. The baby octopus dish was also disappointing: the flavor was excessively acidic and poorly balanced. It’s a shame, because with more consistent service and greater attention to the dishes, the overall impression would have been very different. A mixed experience. 21/07/2026: 2018 Review: Excellent meat menu, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind staff. I'll be back even though it's not cheap. 2019 Update: The pizza was very dry, it looked like it had a frozen base: you'd need a saw to cut it, and it arrived in 10 minutes🤐 even when the place was full... As a restaurant, it works, so forget about the pizza. 2026 Update: I went back for pizza. Excellent! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good first and second courses, and the pizza too! The outdoor courtyard is perfect on summer evenings.

02/07/2026: yess! grilled octopus was toasted to perfection - crispy, with cream and pesto and tomato - really good. pizza delicata with cherry tomatoes, stracciatella and prosciutto was one of the best i've had, but there were some burned spots underneath that tasted bitter. otherwise, absolutely satisfying meal. a young woman served us she was very friendly :)

28/06/2026: Last night we spontaneously decided to find a good pizza place. It was very centrally located, and we had reserved in advance by calling ahead, as there was no availability on their online booking system. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The atmosphere, both inside and out, was lovely and welcoming, and the food arrived quickly. The appetizer and the pizza, which we shared because it was so large, were incredibly delicious and well-prepared. Including a bottle of water, the whole meal cost us no more than €25 – absolutely fantastic value for money!

10/05/2026: The food was absolutely fantastic and hot... just freshly cooked. The 4 star instead of 5 was because they served nothing other than beer. We usually have wine with our dinner. It was too late to go anywhere else. It was clean and the servers were friendly.

23/04/2026: The sandwiches are very good, but I'm writing this review primarily for the staff, because, having been there a few times over the course of several months, I've always found them kind and helpful. As someone in the industry and having lived in Trieste for over a decade, I can say these are qualities that are hard to find in this place. I come in for a sandwich and always leave feeling a little happier than when I went in. Thanks guys :)

20/07/2026: A historic restaurant in the center of Pordenone. The pizza, unfortunately small, is well-seasoned and very easy to digest. The Nicoise salad is excellent. Some portions are truly small (the pasta dishes and the mixed grilled fish, for example), others are adequate. Overall, the food is good.

20/07/2026: After an unforgettable dinner in Pordenone the night before, the next day In went for lunch and Alla Catina proved it wasn't a one-hit wonder. I ordered the Carbonara, and it was everything you hope for when eating pasta in Italy. Fresh, homemade pasta with the perfect bite, coated in a rich, silky sauce that was beautifully balanced. No unnecessary twists or gimmicks, just honest Italian cooking done exceptionally well. To go with it, I had a glass of the local Friuli Pinot Grigio, which was excellent. Fresh, crisp and the perfect pairing for the meal. Once again, the local wines did not disappoint. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Service was relaxed, attentive and exactly what you hope to find in a traditional Italian restaurant. As someone who spends much of the year travelling the world on tour, I've learned that the best meals are often the simplest ones, provided they're made with great ingredients and genuine passion. Alla Catina is a perfect example of that. If you're in Pordenone and looking for authentic Italian food, put this place on your list. Fresh homemade pasta, excellent local wine, friendly people and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more glass.

17/06/2026: A truly excellent experience at Trattoria Postiglione. I started with a top-quality tartare, fresh and prepared with great care. The real star of the evening, however, was the 1.6 kg steak: spectacular meat, incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and rich in flavor. The location is beautiful, welcoming, and meticulously maintained, ideal for a special evening with friends. The hospitality is definitely an added bonus: the owner is truly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. A perfect combination of excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a warm welcome. I will definitely be back and recommend it to all lovers of good meat!

17/07/2026: We visited this place just outside Gorizia, recommended to us by the Carabinieri of the 13th Regiment, and we were pleasantly surprised. They're famous for their stuffed cutlets, and I must say they were truly delicious. Excellent breading and cooked in good oil. We also tried a few side dishes, all very good and tasty, with ingredients that seemed top-quality. We didn't have the pleasure of trying the first courses, but they looked inviting. The dessert selection was also very interesting, with a very good tiramisu, a unique sorbet, and some absolutely must-try ravioli. We'll have to return to try the rest!

20/04/2026: The place is nicer inside than outside, with a lovely dining room. Service is quick and friendly. The quality, quantity, and price are very good. Expect home-made flavors and tastes; it's truly home-cooked. I recommend the potato gnocchi (just like your mom or grandma made them). We'll be back!

We ordered seafood and were impressed by the excellent quality of the ingredients: fresh fish, very well cooked, and incredibly flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable and fully in line with the quality offered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent seafood in Trieste.

13/07/2026: An excellent experience just steps from Piazza Unità. Generous dishes, good quality, and courteous service. We ordered the large hot and cold antipasto (special mention for the creamed cod) and the large Malcanton fritto misto (a very generous dish, not suitable for those with a light appetite), all washed down with a nice Prosecco (Col de Mez). Prices were reasonable and clearly displayed.
