The food is delicious: here I tried two specialties from Trieste and the Balkans: the legendary jota, which exceeded my expectations, and the cevapcici on potatoes in tecia with ajvar and caramelized onions. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced!

11/10/2025: Five stars for the food, with a generous and varied menu ranging from meat to fish, featuring traditional Trieste dishes and more. Unfortunately, the service is lacking. This traditional Osteria, established in 1955, has numerous patrons at the counter, which takes up the kitchen and dining room staff's time. The atmosphere is welcoming, with wood furnishings and furnishings perfectly suited to this type of establishment, but unfortunately, the large number of patrons at the counter takes up space in the dining room (we had a table near the entrance in front of the counter, with people standing near us) and also creates confusion. Therefore, don't expect a quiet atmosphere; it's a bit chaotic. The food makes up for the above.

12/10/2025: A lively, lively place, where every employee does their job kindly and quickly. From the outside, you can't tell how big the restaurant is inside, with several interior rooms. We only had tiramisu, which was delicious, and they offered limoncello afterwards. Unfortunately, we couldn't try the cuisine, because we came after dinner, but what we saw on the plates was delicious. I don't usually write like this, but if I were invited, I would be happy to give a more specific opinion!

28/09/2025: Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The service was quite slow, and the waiters were not particularly attentive to our requests. The food was also disappointing - the portions were small, and the taste left a lot to be desired. The drinks were decent, but not enough to warrant a return visit. I hope this situation improves in the future.

24/08/2025: We arrived with solid and usual expectations, but found the service to be very superficial and inattentive. The menu was unclear from a seasonal perspective, and pizzas with non-seasonal ingredients were verbally informed upon request that the product, which was rightfully out of season, was out of stock. Perhaps I would add asterisks to reflect seasonality. Two of the four pizzas had been modified due to a change from one vegetable to another without any additions to the pizza. However, when it came to the bill, the wording "additional ingredients" was added, and we found ourselves charged a surcharge even though we hadn't added anything to the pizza. In fact, the waitress herself insisted on having the ingredients SUBSTITUTED. When the pizzas arrived, one out of three was incorrect. Ingredients were missing from the pizza's complete composition, and they hadn't even made the pizza and then actually chosen it. However, we obviously paid for everything as if it had been a success! What a shame!

16/08/2025: Perfect hospitality – we were lucky enough to be able to reserve a table. In the glorious summer ambiance, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrace overlooking the hills of Corno di Rosazzo. The beautifully set table (with cloth napkins!) aroused anticipation for the following culinary experience. Our recommendation for the cold starter (antipasto) was a salad with sautéed chanterelle mushrooms, and the warm starter (primo) was a pasta made from Sarceno (buckwheat) with flavorful beef. You can only find it in Italy: seemingly simple, yet unique. For the main course (secondo) in this renowned meat temple, we chose "Bife de chorizo," an Argentinian sirloin steak, grilled whole to medium-rare, served with oven-baked potato wedges. Wonderful, just the perfect amount for two, wonderfully tender and flavorful! The service and the host, Francisco, were prompt and friendly! Everything was perfect, the homemade sorbetti (plum and pear) emphasized the special status of the house. Sparkling wine and wine from the owner's Perusini winery. The price was right. Oil from Parovel in Trieste! I couldn't think of anything better. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience with you. Best regards, Christian da Villaco

16/08/2025: A renovated farmhouse overlooking the Collio vineyards. Sit down with your dog in the shade of a kiwi tree. Francisco, the host with a heart of gold, and the staff are professional and courteous. Crostini with melt-in-the-mouth lard, a rare Florentine steak that cuts like butter, and an excellent Merlot. The millefeuille with berries and the homemade emulsifier sorbet are noteworthy. Prices are in line with the quality of the food offered. Thank you, Francisco, and see you next time!

12/09/2025: I went for lunch today with my husband. Everything was excellent, the place was beautiful and well-decorated, and the food was excellent. We had two fricos as appetizers, two excellent first courses, and two desserts. The wine, water, and coffee were excellent. €90 was more than good. I can't wait to go back. Superb service.

Expect home-made flavors and tastes; it's truly home-cooked. I recommend the potato gnocchi (just like your mom or grandma made them). We'll be back!

21/10/2025: Everything was very clean and tidy... delicious food and excellent value for money... I recommend the sliced ​​roast beef, potatoes in tecia, and a creamy millefeuille to finish. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and everyone, from the kitchen to the dining room, had a smile on their face. 29/08/2025: First experience at a Serbian restaurant. 🇷🇸 Everything was great. The dishes were tasty and well-cooked. They have an outdoor terrace, just steps from the Orthodox Cathedral. A very pleasant dinner. Highly recommended. Looking forward to visiting the country to continue exploring its cuisine.

08/08/2025: I haven't been eating here since a month ago, when my husband and I had dinner. The prices were sky-high, the service was poor, the quantities were moderate to low, and the quality was average, not excellent. I expected more than I had two years ago. And to be fair, since I'm sensitive to digestion, I slept terribly, probably due to preservatives that weren't listed on the menu.
