07/07/2026: Celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary here was an unforgettable experience. Every course of the tasting menu was a masterpiece, showcasing the perfect harmony of land and sea with exceptional creativity, precision, and flavor. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere elegant yet welcoming, and every detail reflected true excellence. A truly outstanding two-Michelin-star experience that exceeded all our expectations.
06/06/2026: A fantastic evening! We were greeted by a whole team of friendly staff members for our aperitivo in the Blue Lounge. The signature drink was accompanied by a selection of exquisitely presented delicacies, including local caviar. For dinner, we chose the NuovaMente tasting menu. What can I say? One flavor explosion followed another; every course was perfect. Alongside the main dish, there was always a small side dish that echoed the theme of the course and combined it in a new way—all very delicate. Before dessert, we were given fresh napkins embroidered with our initials. Wow! The only slight drawback: the wine pairing was poured very sparingly towards the end; we received no more than three tiny sips with the meat course. However, the vermouth with dessert was a revelation. Overall, a wonderful evening. Thank you so much, dear Michela and Emanuele, and to the entire team—you were fantastic!

The atmosphere is welcoming, refined without being pretentious, with a warmth reminiscent of old-fashioned kitchens. The dishes truly taste like grandma's sauce: simple, authentic recipes, carefully prepared with a homey touch that's rare these days.
The service is friendly and approachable, the timing is perfect, and the relaxed atmosphere allows you to enjoy your lunch without rushing. Excellent value, generous portions, and a menu that showcases Trieste's traditions with authenticity.
An osteria that wins you over with its sincerity: no frills, just good food and a family atmosphere.
20/08/2026: A lovely discovery for us who stop by occasionally: excellent food, impeccable service, friendly service, and a great selection of music. Prices are average.
We ordered: stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata, basmati rice with calamari, and potato waffles with caponata and mozzarella. The walnut and fig cream cake is an amazing finale 😱

I'll be back even though it's not cheap. 2019 Update: The pizza was very dry, it looked like it had a frozen base: you'd need a saw to cut it, and it arrived in 10 minutes🤐 even when the place was full... As a restaurant, it works, so forget about the pizza. 2026 Update: I went back for pizza. Excellent! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good first and second courses, and the pizza too! The outdoor courtyard is perfect on summer evenings.

12/08/2026: A truly welcoming place, with a warm and convivial atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends. The quality is truly excellent: excellent beers and cuisine to satisfy every palate.
The wide selection of whiskeys is also noteworthy, truly interesting and carefully curated, making the place a must-visit for spirits enthusiasts. The selection is impressive and allows you to discover diverse and unique labels.
The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and professional, helping make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a place I would recommend without hesitation to anyone in Trieste: excellent food, high-quality beers, a wide selection of whiskeys, and a wonderful atmosphere.

01/05/2026: A top location that we travel all the way to Sacile for. Once again, a truly wonderful culinary experience.
The sea bass carp and the Dover sole with green asparagus were simply perfect on every level.
This is what high-quality Italian cuisine should taste like. And top-notch service to boot. What more could you ask for?
We're already looking forward to our next visit.

05/08/2026: At Bella Trieste, I had lunch at this truly special family tavern.
For my first course, a plate of cacio e pepe ravioli, accompanied by crispy pancetta to savor it all, truly excellent.
Continuing with the meat theme, baked turbot with potatoes, delicious!
Excellent food, friendly, super welcoming, and professional staff, who made me feel at ease throughout the entire lunch.
I recommend this tavern for anyone looking for a cozy place with traditional specialties.
I'll definitely be back!

23/08/2026: Dined at Alla Catina for dinner and had a great experience. The Italian food was top-notch, with excellent service and reasonable prices. It’s better to reserve a table in advance during peak hours. If you plan to sit outdoors, be prepared for plenty of mosquitoes. Overall, a great dining experience and highly recommended.

13/08/2026: A typical local restaurant, where you can feel the history and experience of the owners. Homemade cuisine like few others can, a rustic atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and an excellent wine list. Miriam was a treasure, and Francesca was very friendly. Highly recommended!
17/07/2026: We visited this place just outside Gorizia, recommended to us by the Carabinieri of the 13th Regiment, and we were pleasantly surprised.
They're famous for their stuffed cutlets, and I must say they were truly delicious. Excellent breading and cooked in good oil. We also tried a few side dishes, all very good and tasty, with ingredients that seemed top-quality.
We didn't have the pleasure of trying the first courses, but they looked inviting.
The dessert selection was also very interesting, with a very good tiramisu, a unique sorbet, and some absolutely must-try ravioli. We'll have to return to try the rest!

18/08/2026: On the waitress's recommendation, we tried some typical dishes, all of which were delicious. The gnocchi with plums in particular, which I mentally disagreed with, were quite different from my tastes. The goulash and potatoes in tecia were delicious. The cevichevic (I'm spelling that by heart) were a truly new flavor; I recommend them.
