06/10/2025: If you're looking for a place that puts substance before form, Agriturismo Oliveto is a must-see. Nestled among the rolling, picturesque hills of Teramo, this restaurant embodies the true essence of rural cuisine, offering an extremely rustic and spartan, yet unforgettable, experience. As soon as you arrive, it's immediately clear that the focus here isn't on designer furnishings. The atmosphere is authentic country, with wooden tables and a casual, familiar feel. Don't expect frills or sophistication; the setting is very simple, almost pared-down, and that's precisely its charm; it makes you feel at home, far from the noise and hustle and bustle. The real reason people come here is the meat, and trust me, it doesn't disappoint. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, a sign of a very short and meticulous supply chain. From the appetizers featuring homemade cured meats and cheeses to the highlight, the mixed grill, or the tagliata or lesser-known cuts, every bite is a triumph of flavor. The meat is cooked to perfection, bringing out the full, authentic flavor that only authentic preparations can provide. We sampled three appetizers, a tagliata and a picanha, with a side of chips, soda, wine, and two coffees, all for €65 (see photo). They have a digital menu, but due to ongoing renovations, they're currently offering a reduced menu (see photo). Next to the tasting room is the butcher's shop, where you can purchase meat if you like. The service is friendly, as expected in such a rustic setting, but always courteous and attentive. They know how to best recommend the daily specials and are quick to serve. Another great strength is the value for money. Despite the extremely high quality of the meat, the prices are absolutely reasonable and affordable. You'll leave feeling full and satisfied without emptying your wallet, a significant detail. Oliveto is a true "place of the heart" for those who love tradition. If you're looking for authentic cuisine, delicious meat, and total immersion in the rural Teramo setting, ignoring the spartan appearance, this agriturismo is a gem waiting to be discovered. Perfect for a dinner with friends or a Sunday family getaway full of good food. N.B. The restaurant's opening hours are not those listed on Google; it's always best to call to reserve, perhaps even the day before. The agriturismo is not signposted, but is located in the basement behind the main house.

01/12/2025: That day, I visited several churches nearby. The L'Anfora Country Club was recommended to me as a place to stay, and the lady at the convent booked it for me right away. I drove there at lunchtime to check in and ate lunch immediately, as the restaurant was closed in the evening. I received a very warm welcome. Since it was my first time ever in Abruzzo, I really wanted to try the arrosticini. Unfortunately, they weren't available. So, for my main course, I was recommended a specialty from the Teramo area – "mazzarelle." These are stuffed offal wrapped in spinach leaves and fried. Absolutely fantastic! Kudos to the kitchen! Kudos to the waiter, who was very attentive. I was very well looked after. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try any wine, as I had to drive. It was easy to strike up a conversation with the guests at the neighboring tables. I got some great tips about the area and local attractions.

22/10/2025: I was very happy to go there. There were new and creative dishes, and they were well-executed, but this time they were basic, and everything was very neutral, mild, and darling! I won't be back for now. I'll wait five months and then try again, hoping they understand that some seafood needs to be enhanced with seasoning. Not everything should be left to its own taste, which can be nauseating.

06/12/2025: The location is a bit remote in the middle of the hills but the food was very good and especially the hot and soft arrosticini. I was at a birthday party and I waited a very acceptable amount of time, a quarter of an hour.

07/12/2025: A beautiful courtyard transformed into an excellent hotel overlooking the Gran Sasso. The rooms, restaurant, pool, and outdoor spaces are meticulously maintained! The room was clean and welcoming, with a refined style. The staff was friendly and very helpful!

30/11/2025: I wanted to make a reservation for lunch at a restaurant, but they said they'd call me back in 10 minutes. I tried after an hour, trying several times, and finally managed to speak to the owner, who told me he'd accept the dog with a number of conditions. My dog ​​weighs 5 kg and is used to being in the car, the hotel, and the restaurant; he doesn't bark unless someone bothers him. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the price, which is very high, nor on the quality of the food. I can say that I chose another restaurant in Val Vomano that didn't cause any problems. Five of us went for lunch. I have a lot of relatives in Val Vomano, but we're choosing to avoid this place.
