19/07/2026: It's a shame to write such a review, but it's an incentive to do well because my family and I have been fond of this place for years and have always had a great time. Today, however, we noticed a new management team that, in addition to limiting the menu by removing all starters and other dishes, has a truly embarrassing management of the tables. We received the menu shortly before 1:30 PM, and the main courses arrived after 90 minutes. The same thing happened to all the tables, and in any case, a series of poor service that truly embarrassed us and ruined our lunch. We'll return if this management team manages to turn things around and perhaps even reintroduce some starters and other dishes more suitable for younger customers.

28/06/2026: A small restaurant located inside a municipal playground. Cute, with limited seating, friendly staff, and a menu (unfortunately, I forgot to photograph it) featuring platters, roasts, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, I'll be back... perfect for discreet romantic encounters.

09/07/2026: Unfortunately, it's impossible to give less than one star. I called the pizzeria and asked if they had a €5 for 6 pizzas offer like in Viale Bovio and they told me yes. I took 24 pizzas, so €20, and they told me to pay €32, and their promo was this.... Speechless.

27/06/2026: I've been to New Old and I have to say the chicken breast really deserves a special mention. For me, it's among the best in Vasto, both in terms of quality and quantity. The dish is plentiful, beautifully presented, and above all carefully prepared: tender, flavorful, well-cooked chicken, accompanied by fresh, tasty ingredients. It's clear that this isn't your typical "off-the-shelf" dish, but a simple, well-crafted offering, with attention to the ingredients. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, as the portions are generous and you leave feeling truly satisfied. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service friendly, and the atmosphere cozy and pub-like, perfect for a casual evening. Highly recommended, especially for those looking for a good, plentiful, and quality-prepared dish. For me, the chicken breast at New Old remains a guarantee.

03/07/2026: I'm giving it 4 stars because, despite the first 15 minutes, they were worthy of a 1-star... Then it was a magical ascension 😅. We arrived at 1:05 PM asking for lunch, and the manager, looking at his watch, with a slightly ambiguous expression, seated us. We were the only ones there... he sets the table, and after a while, a lady, I think her mother, asks us what we want. I ask for a menu, but there's none. I ask for arrosticini, since I'd seen the place advertised for typical Abruzzese cuisine... Her response: "Well, given the time (🫪), we need to light the fire." I smile and politely ask, even while waiting, if we can order them... The smile breaks through the lady's heart, and she tells us it'll take 10 more minutes... Meanwhile, a delicious platter and Abruzzese meatballs boost the whole atmosphere. The arrosticini were good, plentiful, and the final bill was truly fair for what we ordered. So, I suggest making a reservation so as not to upset the management, and you can put smiles in your pocket as if there were no tomorrow to spread to the management.

06/04/2026: Easter Monday lunch with a group: the location offers a stunning view, and the outdoor space is perfect for kids and for enjoying after lunch. Delicious food, carefully prepared dishes with authentic, premium ingredients. Excellent service, with friendly staff and perfectly timed courses! Everything was truly excellent!

16/11/2025: The wait was incredibly long, despite only 20% of the seats being occupied. The appetizer was poor quality: purple gnocchi with cod cream, but there was no cod at all, topped with mashed potatoes. The gnocchi also seemed dry, and they were then dunked back into the mashed potatoes. We had ordered a cod main course, but as soon as we tasted the first course, we cancelled it. Even looking at them, the presentation was truly awful. The prices were like those of a great restaurant.

08/08/2025: The cashiers are very kind and friendly but the prices are just not up to par, 15 euros for 4 pieces of pizza and a supplì, crazy markups not even in Parioli.

30/04/2026: As a native of Abruzzo and Pescara, I can say that at Scalo di Montesilvano you can eat the best fish in Abruzzo. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff is always helpful, polite, and professional. For my family and I, it's a regular stop when we want a place where we can eat beautifully and enjoy a welcoming, peaceful atmosphere.

18/04/2026: Overall, a mediocre experience. The food was decent, but not enough to justify the final bill. The service was poor: we weren't presented with the menu or the wine list; we were directed directly to what was offered, without many options. The bill was €65 per person for a cold and hot appetizer and a coffee. No selection of raw fish, no dessert, and not even a liqueur. Considering the area, quantity, and quality of the dishes, the price was decidedly high. The quality-price ratio was unsatisfactory. Not recommended.
