01/03/2026: Thanks to a dear friend of mine, a customer, we discovered this beautiful restaurant-pizzeria. I called to make a reservation. It was Valentine's Day, and there were four of us. Not only did I get a reservation, but I had finally found a place that offered an à la carte menu, on a special day like Valentine's Day, where unfortunately almost all restaurants have a fixed menu. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, warm, and welcoming. The brick vaults and the division of the space into many small rooms with just a few tables made for a charming, pleasant, quiet, and romantic stay. Nico, the owner, was extremely kind, personable, and professional. We ordered several pizzas, baked potatoes, and a mixed grill of meats, along with beer, water, and coffee. Everything was excellent and of good quality. It's been years since I've had such a delicious pizza: crispy, flaky, light, with generous and tasty toppings. The restaurant also offers takeout for pizza and food. We returned a week ago for two takeout pizzas and will gladly return soon. I highly recommend it. 10/01/2026: We ate reasonably well, but after I left I noticed that they had added 6 pieces of fried cheese to my bill that I hadn't ordered, but I'm a gentleman and didn't complain. Amen.

09/09/2025: The restaurant overlooks the sea, which adds to its appeal. Add to that the food is truly excellent and the prices are more than fair, and it's a 5-star rating (the maximum). It offers both seafood and meat dishes, and the menu features a limited selection of each, which is a good thing. In fact, we ate here for both lunch and dinner, choosing from both fish and meat, and everything was truly delicious. Highly recommended.

09/11/2025: You're practically at home...not in the sense that you feel at home, but in the true sense that the restaurant is an apartment! I've never seen anything like this! The food is average to low quality; if you go in the summer, bring mosquito spray. The arrosticini are average, and the bread is at least a few days old. When I ordered a beer and was told they no longer had it on tap and brought me a (warm) Corona, I knew I'd missed the place. 2 stars.

07/09/2025: Everything was excellent. From the welcoming staff to the delicious and generous portions. The back terrace (practically overlooking the sea) is top notch. Excellent value. On my way back from Salento at lunchtime, I stopped by chance. It will definitely be a go-to place for future trips.

I came with some friends from Lamezia Terme and they were amazed by the attention to every detail, the kindness of the staff, their discretion... we felt pampered from the moment we walked in the door. 14/08/2025: It's clear that the bar is still a desperate attempt to squeeze money from its regulars. The service leaves much to be desired, especially when the waitress, apparently in her eighties, is on duty. Most of the regulars avoid the bar as soon as she's on duty. Her disgruntled attitude certainly doesn't inspire anyone to linger there for a coffee. I've often heard regulars complain that she's arrogant and even offensive when it suits her. Every year, the bar loses its atmosphere and quality. Besides the miserable state of the bathroom, it's clear that the bar is only surviving thanks to the presence of older customers, who continue to support it financially. The owners apparently have no interest in investing or changing anything in this bar. It's sad that a beautiful town like Colonnella is decaying like this. Well, a bar is never alone in this town. A story about us: A few days ago, my husband and I were at the bar, and an incident bordering on the ridiculous occurred. We were speaking to each other in German, and a German family nearby apparently overheard some inappropriate language, which, given the presence of their children, they didn't like. We didn't know whether there were other German-speaking people nearby. However, the co-owner pointed out to my friend, an Italian and longtime regular, that German tourists had complained. My friend approached them and said in German that he didn't know there were Germans present and that children of that age (it was almost 11 p.m.) should be in bed by now. The woman's German partner stood up and almost raised his hands (his first mistake). The employees, unable to assess the situation and apparently devoid of any real emotion in their lives, called the owner. The latter, also lacking social skills, raised his voice at my friend and became aggressive. When the eighty-year-old waitress (N.) tried to talk about us to a retired police officer present, my friend asked her to stop. At that point, the German tourist, who has an aggressive problem and loves to raise his hands, approached my friend and grabbed him by the neck (second mistake). Since my friend is used to such situations, he did nothing, because whoever raises their hand first starts. The retired police officer warned the German tourist that he would be arrested if he didn't calm down. The incompetent employees, who apparently couldn't find any other job besides this, called the owner, who banned my friend from the establishment. Banning a longtime regular who expresses his opinion without becoming aggressive is highly reprehensible. The employees are probably incapable of assessing situations objectively and choose the path of least effort. 100% incompetence. Form your own opinion, but this bar will have one less customer now. PS: The waitress (N.) would be better off asking for her pension rather than venting her dissatisfaction on the customers and the village residents. She's damaging the bar's image. No one comes for her. Many come for the owner, but after this story, even his likability is in question.
