27/08/2025: A lovely restaurant in Silvi Alta, with a terrace overlooking the sea and hills. Delicious food, excellent cured meats, cheeses, and arrosticini. From nearby tables, I saw homemade pasta dishes, prompting exclamations of appreciation! The house wine, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, is superb. Attentive and friendly staff.

25/04/2025: Returning from a trip to Puglia we decide to stop in this restaurant instead of the usual sandwich in a truck stop. Located in an industrial area, the place is frequented by workers. The owner is welcoming but the environment a little less so given the simplicity. The second is good and with vegetables that I would have preferred hot. So far so good, the problem arises from the lack of menu and the subjective interpretation of the owner in charging for meals. This is why I indicate in this review the prices that were reserved for us and which absolutely do not justify what was brought to us. The first, for example, is a similar homemade "strozzapreti" with traces of acidic sauce and rare pieces of ragù at a cost of 10 euros (in Polignano al mare in the center we paid 8 euros for a first course and it was of superior quality) the second one was 13 euros, all in all it could be worth the price but I doubt that working customers can pay certain amounts for their lunch break! A first course, two second courses, two glasses of wine, a Fanta, a bottle of water and two coffees for a total of 53 euros... an absolutely disproportionate figure for the location, position and food offered. Sometimes being correct by giving the menu to your customers avoids creating disparities between them and suffering unpleasant reviews like this. Not recommended

17/07/2025: Il locale si trova in una zona industriale, non è propriamente il massimo ma, una volta parcheggiata l’auto (peraltro parcheggio ampio e comodo), si entra in una “location” suggestiva e accogliente; la struttura in mattoni ricorda vagamente un vecchio castello; c’è un ampio spazio all’aperto con molti tavoli, piuttosto curato. L’arredamento interno lo definirei in stile casereccio elegante, con dettagli scelti con gusto. Il servizio, almeno nel nostro caso, non è stato propriamente celere e inappuntabile, benché il locale non era al completo, tuttavia è risultato gentile e disponibile. Per quanto riguarda le pizze, la scelta è fra il padellino, piuttosto croccante, sviluppato e discretamente alveolato, non è affatto male. La pizza “classica” non è una vera e propria napoletana, ha un cornicione ben sviluppato e dall’ottima alveolatura, al centro non è sottilissima, ma ha una consistenza discretamente importante; soprattutto il cornicione e anche, seppur in maniera inferiore, la parte centrale risultano croccanti. L’ho trovato davvero un ottimo impasto, ben sviluppato e ben cotto. Lo consiglio soprattutto a chi non ama particolarmente la pizza napoletana. Gli ingredienti mi sono parsi di ottima qualità e anche gli accostamenti riusciti. Non male la scelta di bevande da accompagnare alla pizza. Una pizza diversa e assolutamente da provare!

12/10/2025: This year too, I returned to Villetta Barrea, "Albergo Il Pescatore," with many friends for the "G.E.M.A. Mycological Conference." The welcome was excellent, the service was excellent, the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, and the lunches and dinners were excellent, especially Maria's fresh pasta. Despite our advanced age and the 650 km that separate us, we hope to return next year.

01/10/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance on our way back from a trip to L'Aquila, looking for a place to have lunch, but were discouraged by the late opening hours. I only noticed this restaurant because I looked around. The very young, yet very knowledgeable and competent owner not only welcomed us with a smile despite the late hour, but also listed the dishes for us so much that just listening to him made your mouth water! Wow, these dishes are a delight... from the amazing cured meats where you can taste the real quality, to the first courses... my homemade gnocchi had enough bite to make you close your eyes with every bite! This lovely restaurant where quality and passion reign supreme was an incredible discovery! Bravo!

09/08/2025: The restaurant is very remote, with a bumpy road leading to it. There's no parking. The listed hours and days are incorrect; it's closed for lunch on Saturdays.

20/09/2025: I don't understand what happened this evening, everything was terrible: the mixed salad looked like it was taken from a supermarket bag, brought with sachet oil when in Abruzzo one of the high-quality products we have is oil; Let's move on to the second course: the inedible arrosticini were hard and cold; Wine = vinegar; In the end, you could even overlook it, but the most absurd part is this: the bill... I've NEVER SEEN a 0.80 cent discount; it's absurd, I would have preferred to pay €1 more than get this fantastic discount; I'm sorry, but if the situation continues like this, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!

15/07/2025: I go there often because it's one of those places that makes you feel right at home. They organize several very nice evenings with music and dancing, karaoke... and then you're surrounded by nature, with a beautiful, large garden and a nearby lake. I recommend it.

29/09/2025: The pizza was good, but the one with zucchini was a little bland.

08/08/2025: The cashiers are very kind and friendly but the prices are just not up to par, 15 euros for 4 pieces of pizza and a supplì, crazy markups not even in Parioli.

17/08/2025: Unfortunately I didn't find anything like what I see in these photos except for commercial frozen croissants and cakes... a real shame.

10/08/2025: I've been to Pizzeria Del Paese in Giulianova and I have to say I had a great time. The pizza is light, easy to digest, and made with fresh ingredients, just how I like it. The service is friendly and fast, and the prices are fair. I'll definitely be back.

01/08/2025: 2-3 weeks ago I got a tray with 4 flavors: Margherita, prosciutto and mushrooms, tuna and onion, and potatoes and sausage. 12 lactose-free pieces... paid €30 😳 pure madness. Everywhere I've been in these areas, a tray of 12 pieces always costs €18-20 with the same flavors. VERY EXPENSIVE, the most expensive in the area, not recommended. ⚠️ You can say what you want, but 12 pieces of pizza for €2.50 each is almost a rip-off.

You're trying to make a request and then order a coffee but the waitress leaves while you're already talking for the second time. I apologize, but I'm talking because she's leaving. Then I thought she'd finished answering. But you shouldn't think. You have to offer attention to the customer. Let's not talk about the so-called head waiter. 1. Washing up should be a priority for being present in the dining room. 2. He should be more prepared. It seemed like he was doing you a favor for free. The first time is the last time here. I'm sorry, but I prefer to tell the truth. You paid for 10 liver arrosticini without even touching them. Let's not talk about the bathrooms. Shame. White but filthy doors. The window is snobbish and full of cobwebs. Need I say more? There is, but no thanks.
