21/08/2025: We stayed for two nights and had a very positive experience. The owner was extremely kind and accommodating to our requests; the restaurant manager was exceptionally attentive, especially to my specific dietary needs. In addition to breakfast, we also had lunch from the à la carte menu (the house specialty is seafood), and everything was delicious and plentiful. We also found the room quite comfortable and functional, especially considering we needed a base for a weekend at the beach. Speaking of which, we were easily able to reach the beach with a five-minute walk, and the hotel also offered access (with an umbrella and two lounge chairs) to a partner beach club. Ultimately, we were satisfied with this, albeit brief, stay.

20/07/2025: I recently stayed at the Gemma Hotel and Restaurant, and I must say that the new management has brought a breath of fresh air and quality to both the hotel and the restaurant. The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise: carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and authentically flavored dishes. The new management's passion for cooking is evident. The quality/price ratio was good, both for the hotel and the restaurant. Overall, a very positive experience. I highly recommend the Gemma Hotel and Restaurant to anyone looking for genuine hospitality, good food, and a renovated, welcoming atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – We'll definitely be back!

19/08/2025: Portion of French fries paid €4 on the plate there were 15 fries, good pizza but with little topping.

06/09/2025: Excellent restaurant with traditional Abruzzo cuisine. For the first course, hand-made pasta with verdura, ravioli with ricotta in tomato sauce and others with mushrooms. They changed plates for each dish. Excellent red house wine Montepulciano. For the second course, fried lamb and veal. The portions are large. Vegetables from their own garden, their own olive oil. For dessert, tiramisu and pizza dolce. Thank you very much. Everything is very tasty.

06/09/2025: Ristorante da Iolanda is a delicacy of home-made food that you absolutely must try. Starting with the appetizers, of course, and continuing with the homemade maltagliati (a type of pasta) known as TACCONELLE (a type of pasta made with Gran Sasso herbs), the grilled lamb, the garden side dishes, the cheeses, and "our wine," as Mr. Peppino calls it. Everything is top-notch, including the desserts, which are homemade, of course.

04/07/2025: Invitato a pranzo in questo ristorante decò dire che sono rimasto sorpreso. Cucina casereccia senza fronzoli che alla fine ti lascia soddisfatto.

02/06/2025: We had an excellent meal. The menu is highly recommended. The pizzas also looked delicious. If you love excellent, down-to-earth, local cuisine, then you shouldn't shy away from making a trip there. From the very friendly owner and chef to the waiter, everything was perfect! Thank you!

13/07/2025: Terrible. €40 per person for poor, subpar food. They had practically nothing on the menu; lunch was cobbled together with the few things left in the kitchen, and on top of that, the price was exorbitant and served without even specifying the dishes. Never again.

20/06/2025: Today they made us pay for umbrellas and sunbeds and then at 3:30 pm they kicked us out because they had a wedding. Unacceptable that we were not told when paying, we would have opted for another beach since we had a long trip to reach Scanzano and spend a whole day at the beach!

07/04/2025: The posted time shows closing time at 9pm. I'll be in at 8.50pm with a bottle of water and a coke. The lady doesn't even say hello, she's taken aback and tells me that the place is closed. Top!

18/08/2025: A wonderful experience! The raw and roasted fish are highly recommended. The location is beautiful, right on the sea. Excellent selection of wines, I recommend their own Cerasuolo.

15/08/2025: Huge disappointment! The restaurant! We had the seafood menu! The appetizer tasted like nothing and the spaghetti with clams was dry! I'd like to point out the head waiter's lack of sensitivity! I don't recommend it.
