The welcoming atmosphere of this place depends largely on the staff, who are truly friendly. The spectacular service will put you at ease. It's an opportunity to enjoy a convivial atmosphere.

Aperitif with a delicious homemade salami, a welcome from the kitchen with cheeses and fresh polenta! The tripe as a second course was fabulous! The appetizers were refined and of excellent quality! A wide selection of first courses, including homemade pastas and delicious risottos, not to mention the second courses, traditional dishes presented "as they once were," and the duck...something special! It all ends with a well-stocked trolley of homemade desserts! And let's not forget the wines! An endless selection that will satisfy even the most discerning palates!
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

22/05/2026: The ambience was so romantic. I wasn’t expecting it to be so beautiful inside and out.
The food was excellent. The sliced tagliata pork was so tender.
Everything was delicious, and the people were wonderful as well.
I will definitely keep coming back to this restaurant.

26/04/2026: A lovely 3-star hotel in the center of Spilimbergo. Beautiful, spotlessly clean rooms. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and it's a family-run business. Breakfast isn't very rich in sweet or savory options, but that's fine. The prices are more than fair. I'll consider it if I return and will recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. The restaurant is excellent, too. A wide selection of local dishes. Prices are always fair.

11/01/2025: Non hai mai provato mai questo locale? Bhè le pietanze non scherzano! Cibo ottimo e gustoso ma sopratutto dosi da capogiro. È la seconda volta che ci vado e prendo gli hamburger più grandi del menù... e sono veramente grandi! Ma anche i più "piccoli" non scherzano. Se avete una fidanzata che mangia solo gambi di sedano e qualche foglia di lattuga non penso sia adatta a questo locale perchè i piatti sono molto abbondanti....complimenti allo/agli chef! credo che prenotare il tavolo sia essenziale perchè è un locale molto conosciuto. Ve lo consiglio

Not only was the service extremely welcoming and friendly, but also the food was very good.
Especially the starter “Sapore di sale” was incredible.
I will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Trieste!

18/05/2026: This place is buzzing! Here you'll find all the kind of clientele other restaurants would envy. Fast food, well-kept beer, and incredibly friendly and attentive service – a truly special experience!

The prices are definitely too high for the quality. I don't recommend it and I definitely won't be returning.

03/06/2026: A mixed experience. One waitress was very kind and professional, while another staff member spoke to us quite rudely. It was an incident that significantly affected the overall experience and, honestly, made me consider getting up and leaving.
As for the food, the scallops still contained sand and would have benefited from greater care in their preparation. The baby octopus dish was also disappointing: the flavor was excessively
acidic and poorly balanced. It’s a shame, because with more consistent service and greater attention to the dishes, the overall impression would have been very different.

13/05/2026: This is a restaurant with retro decor. It is a friendly local place but service is vety efficient.
They have a small menu but with help from the waiting staff we made good choices. The pasta dish was very tasty. We followed with beef and pork, both regional dishes and very good, served with nice vegetables. Wine selection also very good. I would reccomend this restaurant.
09/05/2026: I stopped at this restaurant during a brief stop in Trieste. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The dishes are carefully prepared and the ingredients are excellent. They also offer vegetarian options. The kombucha is excellent and recommended as a lunchtime accompaniment.

14/05/2026: A classic place of wonderful consistency. Here, cherished traditions are still preserved with style and a deep love for authenticity. Triestine cuisine is celebrated in this restaurant. Jota, delicate gnocchi, wonderfully creamy fusi with chicken, roast with artichokes, veal shank... ohhh. Excellent wine selection from the region and beyond. Very attentive service and impeccable table manners. Bravo!

12/04/2026: All in all, a truly unique experience – steak cooked over an open fire in the fireplace, something I'd never experienced before. At first, I was skeptical, as I initially wanted to order something from the menu, but when I saw the steaks, I took the plunge and didn't regret my decision. The meat was so tender and flavorful – the best I've ever eaten.
22/03/2026: A truly terrible experience. We had lunch at Al Toscano today and the food was terrible.
We ordered a 1.8 kg Galician rubia ribeye steak: it arrived cold, completely undercooked and cut too thin, a clear sign of poor meat management. It was initially served uncut, then returned, cut incorrectly, and even reheated over the grill because, according to them, it was still raw. The result was terrible. Not only that, but we had to send it back again to recook it, and even then the meat was still undercooked. Meat like that can't be cooked three times, especially not after it's already been cut. This is truly appalling management for a restaurant that bills itself as a meat specialty.
We also ordered the baked pumpkin, which unfortunately was partially raw: unacceptable for such a simple dish.
Another negative note: for a restaurant like this, with a limited meat selection, it's a serious lack of attention to detail. The oil served was of poor quality, nothing special or flavorful, and they didn't even have coarse salt available. After asking for it, they brought us a simple salt grinder, which we actually had to open to season the meat properly.
To make matters worse, the restaurant only had two tables occupied on a Sunday lunch: perhaps they should ask themselves some questions. Considering the prices are anything but cheap, such quality is even more inexcusable.
We brought this up at the end of the meal, but it remains one of the worst experiences we've ever had at a steakhouse. Truly disappointing.
