06/09/2025: A special, unique place, but the food is divine, home-cooked, spectacular! Not for everyone, but for many!

27/08/2025: Disclaimer: The place is small, and reservations are practically mandatory if you want a table. And above all, it's not for everyone; the sign outside is very clear about the categories "not recommended." You'll enter greeted by various relics of a bygone era, complete with themed soundtracks in the background. Mr. Ferdinando and his wife, Teodora, perfectly embody the spirit of the place. If you go on a Sunday for lunch, you'll eat "like a family": everyone is served together, and you eat together. There's nothing to complain about about the food: he offered us a bottle of prosecco upon arrival, two appetizers, a trio of first courses, a second course, a beautifully crafted dessert, and a digestif. Everything was delicious, and the timing between courses was perfect for a good digestion. Fair prices. To top it all off, the experience also includes themed entertainment provided by the owner. Experiencing it is not the same as reading about it in a review: an experience to be had at least once in a lifetime.

07/09/2025: A truly charming restaurant – a wonderful, cozy atmosphere, exuberant, genuine hospitality paired with the finest ingredients and delicious preparation – all at more than fair prices – we were delighted! Just a tip: always come hungry… the portions are generous, and you'll also get to try the specials from the kitchen… The regional wine selection is huge – excellent advice here too – thank you.

19/08/2025: Authentic experience and authentic Sardinian flavors We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of Sardinian friends, and our expectations were far exceeded. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service was courteous and attentive, with staff passionately explaining each dish. Recommended for those seeking an authentic Sardinian experience. We will definitely be back!

01/09/2025: Very central hotel, very clean, helpful and attentive staff with an attached restaurant and bar, the only flaw was that on Friday evening and the following evening until 2-3 am numerous young people in the terrace under our window were drinking and squawking until late at night (fortunately double windows muffled the cheerful chatter).

01/08/2025: Small and cozy, with a great atmosphere. The sandwiches are good, and there's a variety of draft beers to choose from (even Guinness). Affordable prices!

03/09/2025: Superb fish restaurant that also has fantastic fish pastas and very good home made deserts. The family who own it are very friendly and take the time to explain everything in English.

26/08/2025: An excellent fish restaurant, with only the decor reminiscent of a trattoria. My only criticism here would be that the decor is too chaotic and distracts too much from the food. The lighting concept with its varied light sources creates an additional sense of unease. The food is truly fabulous. The grilled sardines, marinated in a kind of onion broth, were my highlight. The spaghetti with fish roe was a bit too salty for me, and the pistachio mixture didn't completely convince me. The carpaccio, on the other hand, was. Although it's a fish restaurant, they offer incredibly delicious desserts that far exceed the standards of a classic Italian restaurant. The chocolate tart tastes deliciously of chocolate, not sugar. The service is attentive and courteous. You should allow yourself some time in the evening, as the dishes are freshly prepared and you do have to wait a bit between courses. All in all, it was a culinary delight.

21/08/2025: Very good, fresh food. 👌The chef is very friendly and attentive, and will even explain the menu in detail if you wish. We had tuna steak and ravioli with pesto. Excellent. Great value for money.

22/08/2025: Unfortunately, we arrived at 2:30 PM and everything was already sold out, which is a good thing for them. I can't review it because I only had the meatballs. I thought they were good, though. A tip: arrive before 2:30 PM 😉

25/07/2025: Excellent take-out food at a truly affordable price. I recommend everyone to try their food at least once.

06/09/2025: A restaurant a short distance from the center, which is not expensive. The food here is mainly Italian cuisine, which is different from other restaurants in Trieste. Carbonara is a truly luxurious dish that I recommend. Of course, you can also find dishes associated with Slovenian culture (Ljubljanska pljeskavica). The service is nice, the kitchen is semi-open. Beautiful environment with a typical Italian touch. If you like the smell of cheese and mature salami, this is the ideal place for you.

03/09/2025: Very good dishes with excellent wine. Good espresso and a coffee to finish. Fast and friendly service. Price vs. quality very much in favor of quality. Highly recommended.

11/09/2025: Excellent breakfast if looking for more than just a coffee and pastry! Excellent cappuccino preceded tasty scrambled egg, bacon and pancakes! Welcoming service and great value!

07/09/2025: We came here for dinner and loved everything. We found it on a website with a recommendation for a fantastic pasta cacio e pepe... The decor and ambiance are extravagantly playful, and you immediately feel at home. The service was very attentive and helpful. We were also thrilled with the food. Very well-made and prepared with love. The wine list also has a wide selection and good advice. Highly recommended! 😎

21/08/2025: A place where tradition meets quality. Classic dishes prepared with passion and served with great care.

19/08/2025: Memorable dinner - reservations recommended. We went for dinner at the suggestion of a colleague on August 25th. The location is beautiful, with tables under a pergola. What struck me most was the service. A waiter introduced himself, I think the manager, and immediately understood what we wanted and recommended some delicious traditional dishes. Since everything was so good, we ordered a second order of pork shank, and he also read my mind, recommending a Terrano pairing. Finally, a chocolate dessert with a glass of Verduzzo. A truly amazing dinner, we spent €90 for two, a fair price. Congratulations!!!

05/09/2025: You've become a must-have for us because we love your dishes. We let ourselves be guided by the narrative voice that recounts and describes every detail. We particularly enjoyed the pulled pork on a bed of crispy potatoes; it was truly excellent.

05/09/2025: Right at the start, we were kindly welcomed on the pleasant terrace. The waiter brought us the menu and wine list, then showed us all other dishes from the blackboard. The appetizers were good, the noodles with rare porcini mushrooms, but tasty, my pieces of meat was very good but served on a cold plate. But it was, otherwise a glass of good Cabernet Sauvignon, served quite warm. Both side dishes were delicious. And finally, cantucci with Vin Santo, a real indulgence. Friendly and fast service. All in all, good, but don't expect low prices. We will certainly come again.
