21/09/2025: A wonderful restaurant with over 50 years of experience, which I've had the pleasure of discovering over the past two years. From the courteous and impeccable service to the beautifully appointed, old-world setting, it offers a truly delightful experience. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the dinner, with both the meat and fish dishes excellent. A selection of excellent wines and refined, delicious desserts round out the experience.

02/08/2025: Everything was perfect, well balanced and served with glance

14/10/2025: We didn't try everything, obviously, but the fillets were fantastic and very tender, as were the very good side dishes. The dessert was also good. They don't have bulk wine, which increases the price, but 40-50 euros is becoming standard these days. The atmosphere was lovely, and the management was very kind and friendly. We were satisfied, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you.

12/10/2025: At this restaurant, I enjoyed an excellent, very tender fillet steak with "old-fashioned" fries, which were truly delicious. The charcuterie board with local piadinas and desserts were also very good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was well-maintained, including bathrooms (which isn't a given for all restaurants). I'll definitely be returning to try the pasta dishes.

09/10/2025: This brûlée is the best ever I have tried in the world. The spaghetti is a bit salty but I think that’s Bologna style. Also, the service is very good. We have 2 and want to share food. The plates all come and split perfectly. Again, the brûlée is so great and everyone should try the jam on the plate. They are good.

10/10/2025: Da Cesari is my favorite restaurant when I come to Bologna. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is welcoming, and they are friendly and very helpful.

08/10/2025: Honest review: I booked a table for 17 people. We were kindly welcomed to the restaurant on a large table upstairs for 16 people, as one of us had to depart else where. Prior to arrangement, we were given a set menu and the restaurant managed to accomodate our allergies and dietary wishes, no problem. The food was traditional from the region and seasoned well. As wel paid the bill, we were surprised that we had to pay for 17 people instead of the 16 that received the food. The waiter did not mention this to us and we should have double checked this in the restaurant. I contacted the restaurant about this and I received an email back stating they do not refund the person who was not present. The reason being that they were not able to seat another 2 people. On the other hand, the restaurant could have taken the table as it was unoccupied and empty but they did not care to ask. If you ever visit this restaurant, be very cautious as the owner does not refund your reservations. Talk about Bolognese hospitality, not.

21/10/2025: This was a great experience. We had a cocktail in the bar first - terrific negroni for me. We were able to enjoy our drinks and then move into the dining room. The room is lovely with a stunning roof fresco. We opted to go with the 6 course tasting surprise menu. There were extra little amuse bouche through the meal. The service was excellent. The main older man with the grey hair explained each dish very well and seemed proud of the food. We really liked him. The sommelier was very good too. We started with a local white wine and then went onto a red wine. Both were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It felt like a proper treat. I would recommend if you want a special meal in Bologna.

16/10/2025: Never to be forgotten…we have spent the past 4 weeks ‘living’ here in Bologna - visiting from Tasmania, Australia. Last night we came to I Carracci to celebrate both our 50th wedding anniversary and our combined 70th birthdays this year. From our first interaction with Simone, where we came in prior to ensure that we would have the correct dress code (as travellers), to the whole experience, we were blown away. The ambience of being seated in an historic room, served magnificent food (there was nothing that was not flavoursome nor so unique) and was topped off by being made to feel so special with a candlelit dessert decorated Buona Anniversario! 03/10/2025: We finally tried their lasagna Bolognese today! Excellent. Highly recommended!

28/09/2025: i tried the best home made pasta! the owner is lovely italian woman! luv her service!

08/11/2025: Friendly staff, ample waiting time between courses, delicious food. Followed the waiter's suggestion. Highly recommended.

08/11/2025: On Saturday evening, they were pretty busy. However, the Bolognese spaghetti was worthy to wait. Space between tables was quite small.

18/10/2025: Unfortunately, it was an experience to forget, the first and last time, one due to the truly inconvenient location, but if I had eaten well, it would have been worth it. Small portions, long waits for an appetizer and a first course, two hours of non-existent table service. In the end, out of desperation, we got up and left practically empty-stomached. I'm sorry, but we will never return. I absolutely do not recommend it. The bill was steep for what we ate.

17/10/2025: Highly recommended place, we were trekking in the area and stopped by chance, the food is really good, the staff and chef are very welcoming. 😁

25/08/2025: We ate very well, you can taste that everything is homemade. The only thing I have to point out is that in the restaurant the windows were all open, but there were no mosquito nets or protection of any kind. The result was that we were eaten by mosquitoes all evening and with the insects buzzing around the plate, it's a small precaution that makes a big difference.

19/10/2025: The best Margherita of my trip to Italy. The pastry is crispy, the edges are nicely swollen, and the tomato sauce is excellent. For €6.50, eat in!

22/10/2025: A quaint trattoria in the heart of the village of Monte Veglio. A lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and beautifully presented dishes. Excellent culinary flavors. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

13/10/2025: A beautiful and traditional place, delicious food from appetizer to dessert, with a deep knowledge of the ingredients, their origins, and their quality. The staff was fantastic and courteous. Unfortunately, we ate in two and a half hours, waiting a very long time between each course.
