A fantastic restaurant in Bologna, a bit more expensive than average, but the food is superb. The portions are small but perfectly formed; you can easily have three courses here. Reservations are highly recommended, otherwise it's nearly impossible to get a table.

We've been traveling in Italy for two months and were getting tired of the same fare of pasta and variations on the same meat dishes. Not only does Da Cesari have unique recipes but they make you feel welcome like one of the family. Ask Riccardo or Valentine what their favorite is that night and you won't be disappointed. Make a reservation and don't miss the chance to eat at Da Cesari when you are in Bologna. We only wish we could stay longer and try everything on their menu.

Excellent regional cuisine, especially the tagliatelle with ragu and eggplant as an appetizer. Good wine list with wines from the Cesari Family.

20/03/2026: The best place in these areas in terms of value for money, kindness and friendliness of the managers and staff 🙂 delicious tigelle and fresh products, like in the old days ❤️ comfortable and well-kept environment, try it and you will fall in love with this peaceful and welcoming place, pets are allowed, I recommend booking in advance, but usually a place is always found ❤️
