Had a fantastic dinner at Cesari, food was amazing & Riccardo was the perfect host. Green ravioli with rabbit was the stand out for me & the tagliatelle ragu was the best of the week so far, according to my wife. We were very lucky to get in without a booking, so book in advance & soak up the nearly 70 years of history & terrific food, thank you to the whole team 🙏

We were so lucky to have a table here! The owner and the staff were all super friendly and they knew every dish well. This was such a welcoming and authentic place, not like some other touristy restaurants in the city centre. Every dish was so delicious that I even forgot to take pictures of some. The waiter recommended us assorted coldcuts, which was amazing! A must have if you haven’t tried it. We also had classic tortellini in broth and tagliatelle bolognese. I want to thank this restaurant for a nice memory in Bologna!

You know when you look for Bolognese authenticity and Bolognese quality in dishes? Here we are. They took me for my birthday, they immediately made us feel at home. Excellent food, wine list as well. But above all we fell in love with the environment and the service.

Best place to taste the authentic Bolognese 🍝 our waitress was also very friendly 🫶🏻 do not forget to order also the dish with the aubergine, believe me it’s incredible

A very popular place spread over 2 floors. The upstairs can be reached via a wooden staircase. The food was very good, especially the semifreddo with eggnog which was truly excellent. The only flaw is the service is a little slow, everything else is of good quality.

Sono venuto a pranzo qui con dei colleghi e perché volevamo provare più cose decidiamo di prendere un po’ di cose miste e poi provarle facendole girare. Come antipasti prendiamo la pancetta cotta a bassa temperatura, molto buona, ricordava molto la porchetta, un tortino di carciofi e un tortino di zucca, quest’ultimo anche buono, come primi prendiamo una gramigna, una tagliatella, dei tortellini in brodo e dei ravioli di zucca, tra tutti devi dire che i tortellini sono quelli che mi sono piaciuti di più anche se il sapore di parmigiano forse era un po forte per me, quelli di zucca buoni ma un po’ troppi semplici, gramigna particolare ma non mi ha convinto così come le tagliatelle, buona la pasta ma ragù poco incisivo, di secondo prendiamo le scaloppine alla bolognese, buonissima la cremina ma questa rivisitazione della cotoletta non mi ha fatto impazzire, dolci prendiamo un misto ed un sorbetto alla zucca, e quest’ultimo è stato quello che ho preferito. Posto in pieno centro e location molto bella e storica, personale e servizio molto accoglienti e cordiali ma qualità devo dire da 3.5 stelle anche perché se devo pensare anche al costo pagato allora sicuramente incide anche questo, antipasti 15€, un tortino di zucca, e quell’altro 16€, cioè costavano più dei primi che venivano €13 o 16 i tortellini… poi questa scaloppina piccola €19, cioè per me buono ok ma direi molto esagerato con i costi anche perché non sono rimasto così soddisfatto alla fine dei piatti in generale

You can see why this is so popular with locals and knowing tourists, it does everything well and for 3 generations, WOW. We started with the mushroom salad (light, fresh and flavorful) next the green ravioli stuffed with rabbit and smoked goat ricotta cheese (great taste) beef broth pasta (nice) main course the bolognese veal ham cheese (great sauce) the panacota dessert was truly melt in the mouth. Service was great, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and this will be the first restaurant we book we we return to Bologna.
