02/09/2025: Excellent to say the least, we have visited dozens of pubs and we are quite delicate and sophisticated but here TOP and also the pizza, excellent, top dough not to mention the carbonara pizza

02/09/2025: A place that claims to offer refined cuisine can't have such glaring shortcomings: 1 - limited choice for those with food intolerances 2 - lack of empathy from the dining room manager, who also happens to be the chef's wife. Even though we mentioned when booking that someone was gluten and lactose intolerant, we were told it wasn't a problem. Result? From the entire menu, only one appetizer and one main course were available due to intolerances, and there was no option whatsoever. The (to be kind) unsympathetic dining room manager told us there was nothing else to offer beyond what was on the menu. A package of gluten-free pasta is available even in trattorias in 2025. What we ordered was still good. A SHAME ABOUT THE FALL IN STYLE

28/08/2025: Top-notch cuisine. I dined at this restaurant, which I wasn't familiar with, in a small, beautiful village I wasn't familiar with. I wasn't expecting to find high-quality dishes outside of the usual local offerings. The cod flan was amazing, as was the excellent sea bass. And to finish, the lemon ice cream with citron was truly remarkable. Very satisfied; it was truly a pleasure from the first bite. Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: truly high levels, very high quality food, there is a lot of professionalism in everything, truly fantastic wines, and the experience, and the professionalism of the owner Sandro, knowing how to match every type of wine to the menu you choose, well done to all the staff.

07/09/2025: La Baita was a pleasant confirmation, the owner was extremely kind, and the staff was knowledgeable. They immediately set up a table inside because it was a bit chilly in the evening... but let's talk about the food! Excellent! The Aieta ham is always a guarantee of delicacy, the ricotta is top-notch, the pasta is all homemade, the tomato ravioli are delicate and delicious, as is the lagane (tagliolini) with local chickpeas... It's definitely worth the drive up to this village... a restaurant open all year round that "consoles" you with its food culture. P.S. Sorry for the photos... we dusted everything...

26/08/2025: We had dinner in this location, unique and original, everything refined and studied to try uovo dante, the gnocchetti nduja and caciocavallo were delicious (even if the nduja predominated, the other 2 people with us did not eat it but the owner at the end of the bill despite it being their problem deducted the 2 gnocchetti from the bill which is something that not everyone does and they were not required to do so) carne arraganata was delicious and the same was true for the various vegetables present in the appetizers, the staff was very knowledgeable in explaining the wines and dishes

08/09/2025: Our absolute top 2 favorites in Altomonte! We adore our dear friends, Massimo & Francesco. The brothers are a perfect do for this place. Best homemade pasta, vino & molto atmosphere. The best place!

05/08/2025: To leave a completely transparent review, I'd like to point out that I've known Carlotta, the host, for many years, but I'd never visited her restaurant. Last night, I was fortunate enough to dine at 'Tre cipolla sul comò' for the first time. I could tell from the name that it was a unique place, but the experience exceeded my expectations. The place is clean (enough to let my nephew run around barefoot!) and decorated with extreme care and originality... down to the smallest details. The food is delicious and inclusive. I have severe dietary restrictions (gluten and lactose), and I didn't feel limited in my choices. The menu caters to everyone. I had fried gnocchi with vegetable fondue, slow-cooked meat, grilled vegetables, and homemade fries. Everything was delicious. The meat was absolutely stellar. My niece, on the other hand, who has traditional tastes, had meatballs with pecorino cheese and tagliatelle with sausage. She also left her plates empty. The prices are competitive and the portions are generous. A restaurant you absolutely must try, offering a variety of experiences: a sensory experience, a dive into Calabrian tradition, a glimpse into culinary innovation, the pleasure of family simplicity, and a sense of inclusion—food, physical, and emotional.

15/07/2025: At this restaurant, we found a great deal of care and passion throughout. The restaurant, which also offers outside seating, is beautifully presented with many thoughtful details. The walls feature several very interesting quotes. The menu offers something for every taste, which the owner explains (upon request) with great passion and a meticulous selection of ingredients. The service was excellent, with reasonable waiting times between courses and a focus on the well-being of diners. If you're passing through Rende, we recommend stopping here for a quality lunch (or dinner).

16/07/2025: A small hotel surrounded by greenery. Roberto's hospitality is unparalleled, and the breakfasts, all homemade, are excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel overlooks the greenery and is very close to all the amenities of Laino Borgo. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway and a sense of well-being.

14/07/2025: I stayed with some friends and we had a great time. The property was clean and the breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and we felt right at home. Thanks to the owner, Roberto, who was very helpful.

13/09/2025: Having planned a trip to Sila, my husband and I decided to stay at the Biafora Hotel. We booked a junior suite for two, with a spa and pool. I'll start with the room: I'm giving it 3 stars because some details need updating (including the in-room whirlpool tub, which has yellowish rust stains inside). The view from the window is stunning. The staff is friendly and polite. I really enjoyed the spa visit, as well as the pool. The breakfast was extraordinary, very tasty and beautifully presented. Overall, I can recommend this hotel; I was left with a good impression.

03/09/2025: My husband and I got married at Biafora a week ago. Everything was wonderful, beyond our expectations. The staff was excellent, attentive to every detail. The food was delicious; we received so many compliments on the quality. Everything was perfect. We even stayed in the suite... beautiful... with a hot tub. Breakfast the next day was top-notch, both sweet and savory. And to top it all off, a very relaxing spa experience... with a salt cave, Turkish bath, sauna, two hot tubs, and a relaxation room with heated water beds and herbal teas with delicious treats. I would choose Biafora over and over again. The only small hiccup was booking the rooms, because we had booked them all for our guests, but there were a few issues and misunderstandings. A special thanks to Luca, who took care of us, and to Martina, the wedding planner.

14/09/2025: Gourmet View and Basic Cuisine. The location is undoubtedly the highlight: the establishment overlooks the Arvo lakefront, offering a truly evocative view immersed in the natural beauty of the Sila. The setting is simple but well-suited to the location, with a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. The service, however, leaves much to be desired: paper tablecloths, plastic cups left in the center of the table, and inattentive staff lacking the welcome one would expect in a similar setting. Orders are taken quickly, with little attention or care for the customer, which detracts from the overall experience. On the positive side, their craft beers deserve a mention: excellent, well-made, and truly distinctive, they are certainly one of the most successful aspects of the offering. The appetizer is served as a single dish, rather banal and unrepresentative of Calabrian tradition: nothing that lingers or conveys the typical sensations of a true local appetizer. The rest of the dishes are average, with modest quality dishes and very simple presentation. The beef steak was good, but nothing memorable. The bill, however, is decidedly disproportionate to the service and quality: high prices that aren't justified by the overall offering. In summary: a splendid view and a pleasant location, but poor service, average cuisine, and prices above expectations.
