Food: Exceptional; Service: Very professional, friendly and helpful staff; Place: rustic, artistic, welcoming and fun; Price: a little higher than average, but still good value for the particularity of the dishes. When we are in the area it is always a pleasure to return to visit Carlotta, Andrea and their imagination in the kitchen. We never get tired of trying their dishes. The place is welcoming and very nice with its writings on the walls and the sometimes eccentric furnishings. The service is always very professional and friendly, there is no shortage of smiles and a lot of courtesy! This time we took: 3 starters + 3 first courses + 3 second courses + 3 side dishes and a nice bottle of wine for a total of around €190.00 (€63.00 each seems like a fair compromise in relation to quality and quantity of food). GOOD GUYS!!!

The idea of ​​this place could certainly be rewarding but currently it leaves something to be desired. The octopus with crusco pepper was good even if the latter was full of oil and badly fried. You can pass on the mushroom cutlet that was in the sandwich which had a sour note that wasn't unpleasant. Potato pie, not bad either but very greasy. The cauliflower steak with all due respect to the vegetables cannot have the price of a steak or a steak of tuna. The pasta, beans and mussels unfortunately left a lot to be desired, the flavors were very separate from each other.

A wonderful place. Carlotta and Andrea are a wonderful couple who for nine years have made all their passion and creativity available to their customers to provide them with the best gastronomic experience, focused on tasty and innovative dishes, where the highest quality raw materials are chosen with care by local producers. The wine list also offers an excellent choice of the territory and always with a careful eye on environmental sustainability.

Small and characteristic restaurant in decor. Run by a couple of kind people who serve and cook, the lady kindly explains all the dishes both in terms of seasonings and preparation. Enjoyed delicate and particular dishes, even if the portions were really a little small.

Una sorpresa questo locale! Simpatico, curioso, fuori dagli schemi. Ti accoglie come se fossi a casa tua, ma è spiazzante quando leggi la carta del menù, perché non sai proprio come districarti. Tutto da scoprire, tutto nuovo, niente assomiglia ad altri menù, dunque molto originali. Ho gustato un piatto di carne veramente delizioso e delle patate superlative. Bravi, ci ritornerò con più calma. Ho una frase da suggerire alla simpatica e cordiale Carlotta che ne fa collezione sui muri del locale ed è questa “ Non ci sono estranei, soltanto amici che non hai ancora incontrato” Grazie sono stata benissimo “

Ristorante molto carino, l'arredamento interno è veramente affascinante. Antipasti e primi piatti buonissimi. Servizio rapido e personale cortese. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!

15/12/2023: The new place is very beautiful, with attention to detail and very welcoming. The staff is kind and attentive, even if the verbal description of the starters did not coincide with what was then served (in terms of variety). This does not take away from the fact that the starter was very good, as were the first course and the meat. A sad point is that we didn't like the desserts, with a strong taste of water ice. A side note: from our seat we had the opportunity to see the kitchen when the waiter came out the door with the dishes to be served. The cook or a member of the kitchen was clearly visible smoking calmly inside the kitchen. As well as being illegal, it is also potentially harmful to customer safety, so pay a little more attention here too.

Pizzeria - Trattoria Retrogusto

25/01/2024: We are in Amantea (CS) on the Tyrrhenian Sea near Cosenza. It's evening and we decided to just eat something. Walking along the main street we found ourselves in front of this "Retrogusto" pizzeria and restaurant and we decided to enter. The place has nothing distinctive but it is well kept and clean. I order a Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella, the others order pizza, some meat. Since we have to wait a few minutes we decide to start with a snack, we are recommended the fried potatoes seasoned with porcini mushrooms, truly excellent. Once the potatoes and mushrooms have been devoured, it's time for the Napoli-style pizza, I found it cooked well and with good ingredients. Those who ordered something else, such as sliced ​​meat, found the meat tender and cooked rare, served with porcini mushrooms which are the main dish of the house. The service was efficient. A place to recommend.
