Given the high price, we expected them to be real clams, but instead they were lupini beans. Flavorful, but less noble. Unfortunately, almost half of them were closed, and the parsley was missing... in short, a dish not worthy of a restaurant. What a shame.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.

Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

Unfortunately, the evening closing time is quite unfair: The security guard doesn't check who's there when they arrive, and unfortunately doesn't realize that asking is decidedly inappropriate and improper... this is out of place with the quality and cost of the facility. He lacks professionalism and integrity. 5 stars for the facility and its cost... even the drinks were good... I booked an afternoon on the fly, and they were even kind and helpful with parking... unfortunately, the security guard really made me feel uncomfortable... If the person who received and processed my reservation could read it, I'm Matteo, the one from this afternoon... Thanks to you and the staff at the various refreshment points... but being suspected upon leaving was really annoying... it gave me a very wrong and negative feeling. The person on guard has to really look first... who's there, look, and then check... He gets paid for this... 05/08/2025: Can I recommend it? It's okay. The beach is okay and not crowded (which isn't surprising considering the price of €30 for an umbrella and two loungers, as of 2025), but the beach café is completely overpriced. And if you expect your espresso or coffee to be served in a decent porcelain cup, the drink will be served in a paper cup. That's not coffee culture, that's Starbucks-level, and given the overpriced prices, it's simply abysmal. The "we're at the beach" excuse isn't valid; on the contrary: a decent porcelain cup is more sustainable and produces less waste than a disposable cardboard cup. You can enjoy Italian coffee culture much better and more cheaply at the other cafés next door. No wonder it's so empty at your place; your restaurant is also apparently sparsely attended, while your neighbors' place is packed. What's also very annoying: you have no internet/Wi-Fi. We're here for the second week now, and apparently it's not working. The neighboring cafes are working perfectly. Actually, we're only staying here because our hotel has a contract with you, of all places; otherwise, we would have left long ago. You want to be an elite beach club, but you're miles away from elite.

17/01/2026: Poor value for money. The pizza wasn't anything special, but it wasn't cheap: a paper placemat, two pieces of cutlery, and a glass were ridiculously expensive. We definitely won't be back.

20/08/2025: When I arrived in Sottomarina, I was looking for a place to have breakfast before checking into the hotel. I found this bar. Very nice, the bartender was extremely kind, especially to my little girl, who gave her a Chupachup. I have to go around this evening to try some drinks 😊

10/10/2025: Welcoming place, impeccable staff, easy to get to. Excellent tiramisu, good pizza crust, but compared to the classic Margherita pizzas served by the other diners, which were piping hot, mine arrived later and was practically cold, and the chopped buffalo mozzarella on top was even colder. A small inconvenience, perhaps due to the large crowd, which could lead to some inconvenience, but nothing irreparable. I'll try the restaurant again next time.

We also found all the staff friendly. Well done Stefano, who perfectly organizes the beach, left by his great father, DANILO ❤️ Stefania, a wonderful woman who, between the Residency Garden and the Bagni Canarin restaurant, manages everything perfectly. Congratulations to this wonderful family who have been providing wonderful service with so much love for 46 years ❤️
