18/05/2026: We went yesterday on a recommendation, and I have to say we had a wonderful time. The location is spectacular, we ate right next to the canal, and the staff was really helpful and attentive (I think it was the owner who looked after us). The food was really good, and the service was quick, even though the place was busy. We were really happy, and I definitely recommend it.
12/05/2026: Excellent experience, very good and fresh fish, friendly and courteous staff. The Manzoni wine was also excellent. An experience worth repeating.

27/06/2026: Had a lovely and pleasant evening here. Fantastic dishes that were excellently prepared. Not an extensive menu here, but everything was good. As it should be in Italy, simple dishes with only the best ingredients. Compliments to the entire team.

20/08/2026: A typical Chioggia seafood restaurant, serving fresh produce and good value. The owner has updated the menu to offer excellent gluten-free options. It's a shame the staff are foreign, and they don't speak Italian well and are often not up to the task. I recommend it.
18/08/2026: Excellent grilled sea bass. Interestingly, there is no set menu, but it is presented by the owner.

01/08/2026: I'm sorry about the 2 stars, there were 6 of us during the fish festival, unfortunately the weather was bad, they weren't prepared for the number of people, they didn't bring us the dishes we requested, forgotten!!! Small quantities!!! They brought me a very small fried food, with frozen fish, with a 4 cm × 4.cm slice of polenta, in some not even that!!! And price, in short,!! The vegetables didn't arrive, for 3 people. In short, I didn't eat!! Never again!!
12/07/2026: Very nice restaurant located a little offside in a narrow alley. Nice staff and very good food. All guests speak Italian which is a good mark. Definitely worth a visit.

14/08/2026: Dinner for two. Two appetizers and two first courses, two glasses of wine, €114. The quality of the dishes is good but a bit touristy. The cicchetti selection lacks creamed cod and baby octopus, but it does include smoked swordfish. The raw ham is good. Spaghetti with clams, with plenty of clams but lost in the overwhelming garlic. The wine by the glass is limited in choice and of poor quality.
10/08/2026: What can I say? It's definitely a typical restaurant. If I'd been looking at the location (typical) and the food, I could have even given it a bit more. The appetizers and first courses were very good (the gnocchi were special!), but the tuna steak was very disappointing for everyone (overcooked and stringy). But what particularly disappointed us all was the lack of attention and courtesy from the staff upon arrival! Perhaps it was due to the lack of staff and the restaurant being full, but unfortunately, you can't pass the pressure on to the customer, especially with a €4 cover charge!
Too bad!

13/08/2026: We were hoping the cream brioches this year would be less delicious than last year, but unfortunately, they're getting better and better! 😂
Now we're on a diet and have to limit ourselves to one cream brioche a day, whereas before we had two each for breakfast and then took home ten more. Basically, when we came to the beach, we'd eat seven brioches each in the course of a day! We were hoping the cream brioches this year would be less delicious than last year, but unfortunately, they're getting better and better! 😂
Now we're on a diet and have to limit ourselves to one cream brioche a day, whereas before we had two each for breakfast and then took home ten more. Basically, when we came to the beach, we'd eat six brioches each in the course of a day! 😂
We don't know how long we'll be able to resist having just one for breakfast... 😅

16/02/2026: Arrived at 2 pm and there were only 3 cicchetti available (a pittance). The 0.40 cc water (always smaller) cost 2 euros and was billed as 0.50 cc. Extremely annoying.
02/02/2026: The best: tables inside and kind attention. Girls at the bar were kind. Prices are medium/high and they just give you a small bag of patatine with the aperitivo.

05/07/2026: It's hard to find the words to describe the experience we had, between the rudeness, the waiting times and the icing on the cake: water passed off as vodka on the cocktails at the modest price of €8.00.
04/07/2026: Very nice location with American inspiration, the sandwich was appreciated but the waiting times were too long, only 2 waiters on duty and 1 waitress who was a bit stressed

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

02/11/2023: Abbiamo preso due primi dopodiché ce ne siamo andati: spaghetti alle vongole e spaghetti allo scoglio. Delusione al 🔝. Molto sale, masticazione di sabbia e scaglie di valve, spaghetti bolliti …. Prezzo spropositato rispetto alla qualità offerta.
14/10/2023: Pranzo di coppia. Esposto cartello fuori menu con moeche. Attirati ci fermiamo. Poi si scopre che sono finite. Va be ci fermiamo. Piatti di qualità sufficiente dosi normali. Prezzi esosi.. 18 eur antipasti. Ma il servizio... Drammatico camerieri che si urlano una ragazza inesperta.. Ciliegina alla cassa neanche lo scontrino. Grave errore. Sconsigliatissimo

26/04/2025: Locale curato (pare, perché si mangia in penombra !) piatti curati ma se avete fame, non è il posto per voi. La cortesia delle cameriere innegabile ma non altrettanto quella del proprietario che ha un atteggiamento quasi infastidito e spocchioso . Un sorriso costa poco e almeno quando pago QUEL conto, potrebbe rallegrarsi .
Non ci tornerei .
22/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel centro di Chioggia. Il menu offre un’ampia scelta di piatti di pesce locale freschissimo. La cucina sa esaltare l’ottima materia prima. Buonissimi il gran bollito di Chioggia, il crudo di mare, la grigliata, come pure i dolci (consigliata la degustazione della piccola pasticceria). Il locale è elegante, i tavoli sono ben distanziati e il servizio è curato, professionale e gentile.
