Pizzeria Alla Torre In Chioggia

Had two okay pizzas here. Service was also fine. Pizzas were tasty enough, but next time we’ll instead head a bit further into the city and find some food that is a couple of notches up.

The value for money is excellent. Two pizzas, two beers, and a cover charge for €25.50 in Italy is hard to beat. Plus, the pizzas were good. However, our experience was ruined by the enormous number of mosquitoes on the terrace. We waited nearly 30 minutes for our pizzas while being relentlessly bitten, to the point that we ended up with more than 20 bites between the two of us. We finally had to order the pizzas to go because the situation was unbearable. What surprised us most was seeing other tables being offered mosquito repellent spray, while we, even after explaining the problem and being moved to another table, weren't offered any solution. Furthermore, the staff's reaction when we said we were leaving was quite cold. It's a shame, because the food is worth it, but with a little more attention to customer service (especially for tourists) and better management of this issue, the experience would have been completely different.

Medium-large, quiet place. The food is good and tasty.
