06/07/2026: Stopped in on a Saturday night- we did make a reservation but it wouldn’t have been necessary. We ended up spending over €100 for two people. While the food wasn’t technically bad, it was nothing special. The prices were typical for Cortina but we found the whole experience lackluster. I had the beet ravioli and my friend had the venison ragu and spaghetti. We also started with a carrot ginger tart and split a side salad. All were fine but lacking in seasoning and flavor.

05/07/2026: In the city center We booked a table in advance because we had been warned that this is one of the most popular restaurants in Cortina d’Ampezzo. What remains difficult is parking. The city receives a lot of visitors, especially in summer, and finding a free space is a matter of patience. We arrived on time, but the rain probably played in our favor, as the dining room was much quieter than we expected. Once seated, we were served immediately and the service began with an agility that was maintained throughout the meal. The menu is very tempting and offers a good sample of local cuisine. To start we shared a warm Ampezzo-style salad with balsamic vinegar, crispy speck and bread croutons, a simple but very well-balanced dish. As main courses we chose a Sorana beef tartare, dressed with olive oil and salt to give the product all the spotlight, and some pork ribs glazed with honey and peperoncino, accompanied by pumpkin chutney and aubergine cream flavored with mint, an original and very well executed combination. We ended the meal with an iced coffee, ideal to close a meal that was very satisfying. Impeccable service, well-prepared cuisine and a quality-price ratio in line with what is usual in this area of ​​the Dolomites. A very good option to enjoy the Ampezzo gastronomy in the center of Cortina.

10/05/2026: I've been ordering the same thing for 20 years, and it's always a sure thing! The casunziei are the best I've ever had, after my grandmother's. 😎 It's a traditional, comfortable place with a warm atmosphere.

27/04/2026: I had the opportunity to eat here twice during my ski trip to Cortina. The service was good, the interior was comfortable, and the pizza was very good. The wait for the meal wasn't long. The atmosphere was pleasant. The location was good, right in the center. Highly recommended.

THIS PLACE IS IT! 🫶🏻 this little hotel in the mountains became a highlight of our trip, from the beautiful mountain views to the amazing breakfast plus the very friendly and helpful staff! Can’t recommend it enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ big thanks to Valentina and the other front desk girl (sorry I didn’t ask your name) for the local food tips and overall service, top notch!!! Can’t wait to be back 🤗

18/12/2025: Pizzeria Al Passetto in Cortina was a real surprise. I ate one of the best gluten-free pizzas of my life, if not the best ever. It's not your average factory-made gluten-free dough, the classic rubbery, bland "flying saucer": this is real pizza, with a light, fragrant, and well-cooked dough, practically indistinguishable from traditional pizza. Quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Finally, a place where celiacs can eat without compromise. If you're in Cortina, a must-visit. Congratulations!

16/05/2026: We spent two nights at Hotel da Beppe Sello and overall we really enjoyed our stay 😊 The hotel has a very rustic and cozy charm; the classic wooden style blends perfectly with the surroundings and creates a truly pleasant atmosphere 🪵🏔️ Our room was rather small, but perfectly adequate and clean. One minor point of criticism for us was the mattresses – the firmness was actually quite comfortable, but there was a slight dip in the middle, which caused us to slide around a bit. This wasn't ideal for us in the long run. Due to the ongoing construction in the restaurant area, breakfast was served in a tent. You could really tell that the team was making a great effort to make the best of the situation 🙏 The selection was good and everything was lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, some condensation dripped from the tent roof, but of course, the hotel can't be held responsible for that – we just happened to be there at a slightly unfortunate time. It's also worth mentioning that there are currently several construction sites around the hotel. During the week, it can get a bit noisy in the mornings. A quick note about this when booking would be helpful 😊 Also, it's worth noting that the reception isn't staffed around the clock – this was mentioned 👍 However, the receptionist was sometimes already gone earlier than expected, which unfortunately meant we couldn't ask one of our questions. Aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and we felt very comfortable there overall. We would definitely come back 👍✨

15/05/2026: We were really looking forward to our vacation, but unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. At 7:00 a.m., the workers started arguing, so you could tell the whole place was awake. After a while, they calmed down, but the construction noise continued. Instead of the pleasant breakfast room and the nice buffet, there was a tent set up in front of the hotel. It felt like being in a cave. The tables and plates were wet, the buffet was reduced to just one table, the hot dishes were cold, and there was hardly any cold cuts except for one plate of ham. There were some "hard-boiled" eggs, ice-cold and almost completely raw. Our breakfast was completely ruined, so we drove to a grocery store to eat. If the renovations had been mentioned, we would have simply found somewhere else. As it was, it was truly awful!

04/05/2026: The panoramic terrace is worth a stop, weather permitting, and is a great place to enjoy the refuge's complimentary spritz. The dishes are very traditional (and appreciably so). The desserts are certainly not homemade (the frozen krapfen is occasionally offered, but they're duly refunded), but they meet the expectations of mountain guests (strudel, torta della nonna). Prices are in line with the mountain setting (rather high).
