Ra Stua In Cortina d'ampezzo

Stopped in on a Saturday night- we did make a reservation but it wouldn’t have been necessary. We ended up spending over €100 for two people. While the food wasn’t technically bad, it was nothing special. The prices were typical for Cortina but we found the whole experience lackluster. I had the beet ravioli and my friend had the venison ragu and spaghetti. We also started with a carrot ginger tart and split a side salad. All were fine but lacking in seasoning and flavor.

In the city center We booked a table in advance because we had been warned that this is one of the most popular restaurants in Cortina d’Ampezzo. What remains difficult is parking. The city receives a lot of visitors, especially in summer, and finding a free space is a matter of patience. We arrived on time, but the rain probably played in our favor, as the dining room was much quieter than we expected. Once seated, we were served immediately and the service began with an agility that was maintained throughout the meal. The menu is very tempting and offers a good sample of local cuisine. To start we shared a warm Ampezzo-style salad with balsamic vinegar, crispy speck and bread croutons, a simple but very well-balanced dish. As main courses we chose a Sorana beef tartare, dressed with olive oil and salt to give the product all the spotlight, and some pork ribs glazed with honey and peperoncino, accompanied by pumpkin chutney and aubergine cream flavored with mint, an original and very well executed combination. We ended the meal with an iced coffee, ideal to close a meal that was very satisfying. Impeccable service, well-prepared cuisine and a quality-price ratio in line with what is usual in this area of ​​the Dolomites. A very good option to enjoy the Ampezzo gastronomy in the center of Cortina.

Not a good experience. I booked a table for my birthday as a solo traveler. There was a problem with the reservation. I was seated in the aisle, and people kept kicking my chair. Staff were friendly but totally unhelpful and inattentive — no one refilled my wine or water, and I was mostly ignored despite sitting alone. Nothing was offered. The decor is lovely and the food is okay, but I left without any enjoyment.

Incredible starters, delicious main courses, and absolutely delightful deserts. Wait staff wasn’t super attentive but honestly didn’t take away from the overall experience too much. Very cozy and quaint!

Great old Cortina restaurant, has been there since the 30’s , rustic charm, wonderful staff and fantastic food !

great location. the food is simple, tasty and of high quality. the view is wonderful, and from the building itself, there is a trim track in several directions, a warm recommendation for everyone.

This was absolutely amazing. We had the deer ragu pasta and the beetroot ravioli. The latter was well-done, many layers to the taste profile and the salty flavour of the cheese complimented the sweetness of beetroot well. You'll see many reviews that downplay their signature dishes but those absolutely do not do this restaurant the justice it deserves. We topped it off with a tiramisu after which was great as well. Cream of the tiramisu was not overdone and sugary unlike others we have came across and the taste of coffee was well-presented. Beautiful restaurant with great service. It made our last night in Cortina a delight.

We went without a reservation at 9:30 pm. They found us a table. The food was very good, and the portions were just right. We only had main courses, and it was very nice. The price of some dishes is a bit high, but it's reasonable considering the area.

Our dinner for 8 was excellent! We had steaks (cooked perfect medium), ragu, rosemary potatoes, salads, great wine, great bread and some incredible desserts. Service was perfect, the restaurant was well ventilated, they were amazing! If you don’t visit while in town you are missing something very special.
