15/12/2025: The receptionist told us there were no rooms available. We then stepped outside, booked a room on Booking.com, and returned about 10 minutes later to check in. No explanation or apology was offered. We were assigned a room without air conditioning, and the room was not ready upon arrival. Overall, the welcome and customer service were very poor.

29/10/2025: During my stay at the Hotel Alaska in Cortina d'Ampezzo over New Year's Eve, I was the victim of a theft inside the hotel: a Cartier Santos watch, of great economic and sentimental value, was stolen. What I consider even more serious, however, was the complete lack of attention and helpfulness from the reception and management: despite immediately reporting the incident, I received no concrete assistance, nor even the slightest empathy or interest in trying to clarify what had happened. An incident of this gravity requires professionalism, a sense of responsibility, and transparency—qualities that, unfortunately, I did not encounter. A stay that should have been pleasant turned into a bittersweet experience, marked by indifference and a lack of customer care. I strongly advise anyone wishing to stay in Cortina to carefully consider other accommodations where respect and guest safety are a genuine priority, not just an advertising slogan.
