16/05/2026: We spent two nights at Hotel da Beppe Sello and overall we really enjoyed our stay 😊 The hotel has a very rustic and cozy charm; the classic wooden style blends perfectly with the surroundings and creates a truly pleasant atmosphere 🪵🏔️ Our room was rather small, but perfectly adequate and clean. One minor point of criticism for us was the mattresses – the firmness was actually quite comfortable, but there was a slight dip in the middle, which caused us to slide around a bit. This wasn't ideal for us in the long run. Due to the ongoing construction in the restaurant area, breakfast was served in a tent. You could really tell that the team was making a great effort to make the best of the situation 🙏 The selection was good and everything was lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, some condensation dripped from the tent roof, but of course, the hotel can't be held responsible for that – we just happened to be there at a slightly unfortunate time. It's also worth mentioning that there are currently several construction sites around the hotel. During the week, it can get a bit noisy in the mornings. A quick note about this when booking would be helpful 😊 Also, it's worth noting that the reception isn't staffed around the clock – this was mentioned 👍 However, the receptionist was sometimes already gone earlier than expected, which unfortunately meant we couldn't ask one of our questions. Aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and we felt very comfortable there overall. We would definitely come back 👍✨

15/05/2026: We were really looking forward to our vacation, but unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. At 7:00 a.m., the workers started arguing, so you could tell the whole place was awake. After a while, they calmed down, but the construction noise continued. Instead of the pleasant breakfast room and the nice buffet, there was a tent set up in front of the hotel. It felt like being in a cave. The tables and plates were wet, the buffet was reduced to just one table, the hot dishes were cold, and there was hardly any cold cuts except for one plate of ham. There were some "hard-boiled" eggs, ice-cold and almost completely raw. Our breakfast was completely ruined, so we drove to a grocery store to eat. If the renovations had been mentioned, we would have simply found somewhere else. As it was, it was truly awful!

04/05/2026: The panoramic terrace is worth a stop, weather permitting, and is a great place to enjoy the refuge's complimentary spritz. The dishes are very traditional (and appreciably so). The desserts are certainly not homemade (the frozen krapfen is occasionally offered, but they're duly refunded), but they meet the expectations of mountain guests (strudel, torta della nonna). Prices are in line with the mountain setting (rather high).

24/03/2026: Breathtaking views from the terrace. Excellent buckwheat cakes with jam. In winter, you have to try the bombardino. The staff is all charmingly feminine and friendly.

19/03/2026: This was the worst Apres ski in the entire Dolomites.!! It doesn't even deserve one ☆. Apart from the amazing views, which are not related to the restaurant, a total disaster. The service was annoying, slow... we bothered them. For the first time in our lives we wanted to leave without paying. At the cash register.. the faces of the Italian woman who didn't know a word of English... ugh.. never this again

03/12/2025: We had a great experience with the pizza at this restaurant. We found the price fair for the quality. The Margherita pizza was sensational!

30/11/2025: Passing through Cortina, we decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch… The place is spotless and well-maintained, the staff is courteous, elegant, and well-prepared. Every request and every dish is accompanied by a smile and kindness from the staff… The food is excellent… truly, it's hard to find such well-maintained places where they transmit their love for food and make you appreciate the taste of dining in paradise.

05/08/2026: I chose this place for its competitive prices, but the experience was terrible. Even though the place wasn't even that busy, I noticed a complete lack of attention to detail. The glasses and cutlery weren't clean, which was unacceptable. Furthermore, the venison pasta was a huge disappointment: the portion was incredibly small, and the dish tasted of nothing except oil, completely devoid of flavor.

01/08/2026: I have no idea why the rating is low, yes the food arrives at different times but it’s typically local Italian, great atmosphere, very reasonable prices, pizza great, goulash great….

05/05/2026: We stayed a couple of nights in the camper from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd. The season hasn't started yet, so we had plenty of space and tranquility. Clean bathrooms and showers with hot water included in the price, as well as electricity. The pizzeria is still closed. A couple of kilometers from the center and very convenient for accessing the bike path that runs from Calalzo, passing through Cortina, to Dobbiaco and then on to Lienz.

17/04/2026: 3 amp, no heating in the bathrooms, lack of maintenance, very old facilities, very low value for money 42 euros per night for motorhomes and 2 people in low season.

12/06/2026: I am satisfied with the hotel's good location, delicious food, and spacious, comfortable rooms.

16/07/2026: When we visited, this place was open as a bar with small snacks. We had two very pleasant cocktails (a Negroni and a Hugo Spritz). The olives were excellent, and the service was pleasant.

28/05/2026: I absolutely loved my stay here. From the very first moment, they make you feel truly welcome. The room was pristine, incredibly clean, and every single amenity was in perfect working order; you can really tell how much care they put into the details. The food at the restaurant is a whole different story: absolutely delicious! Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. But what truly turned a great stay into an unforgettable experience was the hospitality. I had the chance to sit and chat with the hotel manager for quite a while, and I was deeply impressed. He is an amazing guy- incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. He is the kind of professional who genuinely puts his heart into what he does, which is rare to find nowadays. If you are looking for a comfortable place with great service and exceptional human warmth, this is the perfect spot. I will definitely be back!

27/05/2026: Imagine a hotel in the most magnificent location you can envision but this is where the awe ends. I had so looked forward to staying in this area and this stay at this hotel ruined my dream vacation. This particular day in the dolomites was very hot and there is no air conditioning at this hotel. But surely they had fans? Nope! So we left the hotel to ride in our air conditioned car until late afternoon when it wasn't so hot. Strike #1. I reserved a massage in advance but when I arrived I was told the massage therapist was all booked up. I have spinal issues and I desperately needed this massage after riding 4 hours in a car to get here. Strike #2. There is internet service advertised on their website but good luck using it. It did not work at all and my husband had to use his hotspot on his cell phone to get us connected. Strike #3. Then we made reservations to go to dinner at the hotel's restaurant for 7:30 pm and the view is beyond beautiful. It's a good thing you can savor the view because it took us 1 hour and 1/2 to get our meal. I had plenty of time to go to the bathroom in the restaurant to find out to my dismay there was no toilet paper in the stall. They had an extra roll outside of the private stall area up on a shelf. Upon exiting the bathroom and going back onto the deck of the restaurant I had hoped our meal had come out while I was gone but no such luck. My husband and I decided we had waited long enough since everyone around us who came after us had received their entrees. So we got up and went to the manager to voice our displeasure on our experience only to be chased down by the manager of the restaurant who said there was a mix up in the kitchen. Suddenly our meal was ready and the only saving grace was we at least didn't have to pay for it. I didn't get one of the items I had ordered with my meal and my husband had no salad dressing for his salad at all. The food was lukewarm and tasted like it had sat their for a long time. So we ended up eating at 9:00 pm when we sat down at 7:30 pm. Strike #4. It's a shame that our experience at this hotel was absolutely horrible because the location of this hotel is great but the management running this place needs an upgrade to say the least.

05/08/2026: A pleasant stop at this place I wasn't familiar with. Pleasant, rustic atmosphere, mountain decor. Good table service. Simple but delicious dishes, especially the ossobuco. A place suitable for all ages, including families. Affordable prices. Free parking in front of the restaurant.

29/07/2026: We tried calling 10 times, no one answered. They gave us a very rude answer as soon as we arrived, it was a disgrace.

20/06/2026: While the owner isn't the most cheerful, her service and prices are reasonable. The interior and terrace are pleasant. We had a good time here.

05/05/2026: Extremely expensive and small portions: Example: 2 fried eggs with 3 paper-thin slices of South Tyrolean speck and a handful of fries: €19.50 (€17 plus €2.50 cover charge). Thanks. I won't be back. I feel ripped off!

04/05/2026: Rude and disorganized staff, with very long waits (over 50 minutes) for the single dish ordered. Very expensive considering the quantity and service provided.

09/08/2026: Unfortunately, the experience at this establishment was very disappointing: poor quality, scarce and undercooked food (their specialty was chicken and that was skimpy and undercooked!!). The management has probably changed because a few months ago the food wasn't bad... Overall, it must be said that it was also expensive for what was offered!

Service: The highlight of the evening. Older, knowledgeable, and well-dressed with a twinkle in their eye. Value for money: A little expensive I think Recommendation: Absolutely worth a visit, but not a must.
