03/08/2026: It's a dream place, both for its beauty and for the wonderful, authentic food, expertly prepared. And he's a wonderful person. Wish there were places like this...

02/08/2026: It had so much potential. Good reviews, lovely atmosphere and warm welcome by the younger bloke.. We so looked forward to the restaurant, the smell was incredible. But as non Italian speakers, it was extremely difficult to understand the spoken menu... my wife speaks French and Spanish and has done a good job picking up a lot of Italian in the last two months, but his accent was very difficult. And he did not accommodate non Italian speakers. Totally ignoring me. We were guided towards pasta, which neither of us wanted.. then mains.. I ended up with two boar dishes. Both okay.. but way too much food. My wife had the rabbit.. pretty much cooked to death and totally lost in all the other ingredients. Then nothing... The plates sat on the table for over an hour, I stacked them to make it easier and give us some room. My wife went to pay.. and waited. She told him that we didn't want dessert as we were too full.. He then came looking down at me and very judgemental asking if I wanted dolci, knowing full well I didn't speak Italian.. and then added 'dessert' after I was struggling with language. By no means was this meal exceptional.. good, but ordinary. Service was rubbish and you had to constantly fish flies out of your food. I'm glad we were early as others waited for a long time for their meals. The owner it seems didn't let his staff help where needed, and insisted on doing it all himself. Then.. As we were camped there for the evening, a large group were also there, who loved sitting around playing music.. sounds nice, until two a.m. and they're at the top of their lungs accompanied with drums just gearing up for the night. The owner seemed to make an economic decision, people do as they wish if they pay enough for the food and alcohol. We were out.. at 2am looking for somewhere else we could sleep. We had looked forward to breakfast and coffee.. but no thank you. I did a loop walk the next morning, and as I expected, the lovely bit of forest is small... and the flies numerous. I'll give it a solid pass. They also wanted to sit us by the busy door, secluded from the lovely forest views. We insisted on sitting out in the open, and glad we did as we watched a marmot walk through as we dined. Potential, spoiled. Everyone matters, or no one matters.

06/07/2026: I went to this restaurant on Sunday evening for dinner and have only positive things to say about it, starting with the attentive, smiling, courteous, and welcoming staff (even with my dog). Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was quick. They have a very pretty garden, with fairy lights that create a special atmosphere. We ordered three pizzas, each better than the last, with excellent, refined ingredients. The dough was incredibly light and fluffy. The quality was exceptional. They also have original and, above all, delicious desserts. There's nothing I'd change...and we'll definitely see you again soon. Congratulations to all the staff!

04/06/2026: I didn't find it to live up to its reputation. The pizza was good but not fantastic. I had the parmigiana, but I didn't like the flavor combination and the tomato sauce was tart. The desserts were cloying and definitely overpriced. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere, despite being a tent, was pleasant and well-divided. The beers were good. The price was a bit high.

10/07/2026: I'm already longing for this restaurant; I'd return to Orvieto just for another dinner there. The dishes were delicious and high-quality. We were amazed that, despite serving traditional cuisine and offering average prices, it wasn't a touristy restaurant, which made the experience excellent. There was no chaos in the dining room, and the staff was particularly attentive to their customers, a rare sight these days. Antonio is uniquely friendly and genuine, very knowledgeable and attentive. On top of that, he made us laugh, and we enjoyed the dinner even more. Thanks to his advice, we were convinced to try the tagliatelle with truffle, and luckily we listened to him (we were hesitant because it's poorly prepared in our area). Finally, they were super helpful and kind, not only to us but also to Cesare, our son. Congratulations to this restaurant, which I hope always remains this authentic, simple, yet at the same time offers top-notch cuisine and service.

05/07/2026: We tried a variety of dishes, and they were all delicious, especially the rabbit ragù. Friendly and thorough service. The labyrinth of caves beneath the restaurant is amazing.

08/07/2026: Amazing ice cream, absolutely worth trying, I took a 5-flavor waffle and tried Gusto Andrea and I found it truly unique, then they have the typical Sicilian granita that you can also eat with Briosche just as Sicilian tradition dictates, furthermore you can choose how to decorate your ice cream, the ice cream shop offers self-service hazelnut grains, Smartis puffed rice and a thousand other things... rating 8, reasonable prices, the only flaw is the lack of tables outside to enjoy it in complete relaxation, but the road perhaps does not allow it

23/06/2026: A small restaurant on the road from the parking lot to the Piazza del Duomo. We stopped, drawn by the sign offering a tourist menu for €15, excluding drinks and cover charge. Run by the no longer young owners, their son, and a young man. Bruschetta made with rare extra virgin olive oil and garnished with unique flavors. Unrivaled cacio e pepe pasta, presented by a chef. Choice of chicken bites or roast rabbit with sides. Both delicious. To finish, a slice of Sacher-style chocolate cake. Excellent lunch.

17/05/2026: Umbrian appetizer, white pappardella with wild boar ragù, and arrosticini. Everything was excellent. Even simple baked potatoes were very good. We had the tagliata, and it was tender and tasty. The restaurant was very clean, and despite the crowds, once we arrived, even without a reservation, we were greeted with kindness and courtesy. It was obvious they were a little overwhelmed by the number of guests present, but they covered everything precisely and without confusion. The price per person was reasonable, the quality/price ratio was excellent, and the restaurant, which is also a hotel, was located in a quiet area with plenty of free parking.
