10/09/2025: This is a small, family-run hotel with a good number of facilities but stunning views of the mountains. As with most families, we stayed half-board and it was great. I'm a somewhat fussy eater but when a dish contained something I didn't like (coffee or celery for example) they could exclude it. The Michelin chef clearly knows their stuff as every dish was delicious, if not a little fussy. The menu changes each night. Breakfast was a served buffet affair and absolutely fine for what it is. We had a junior suite on the top floor and although we suffered a fair number of bangs to the head (being well over 6' doesn't help) the room was lovely. We didn't draw the curtains as waking up to the mountain view cannot be beaten. The town has a few cafés and restaurants if you are looking for a meal away from the hotel. It's a 100m climb (around 2km to the centre) but a fairly gentle slope up. Would happily stay here again and indeed plan to.

05/09/2025: This is a really beautiful hotel, with the most spectacular views, and incredibly lovely and welcoming staff. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts and half-board dinners were delicious.

05/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Wonderful lunch at Bad Turmbach! We had lunch at Bad Turmbach and were completely delighted. Very friendly, attentive service and top-quality cuisine. The steak tartare and venison ragout tagliatelle were excellent, followed by the Turmbach trout and, for my wife, the braised beef cheek – both perfectly prepared and delicious. A wonderful place to enjoy – we'll definitely be back!

27/09/2025: We had dinner at the Bad Turmbach restaurant twice, and what can I say... it was fantastic! Excellent service – wine list and advice = first-rate! The dishes were freshly prepared and delicious! And for dessert, the Zirmer cake – I'm lost for words: Outstanding!!!!! We'll be back on our next trip to South Tyrol!!! Great, great, great!!!

12/09/2025: We went to the restaurant two evenings in a row. It was simply fantastic. Moritz and his team are the kind of hosts you'd expect. The food was incredibly good, unobtrusive, and, to our taste, extremely delicious. Moritz recommended three wines to us on both evenings: South Tyrolean vintages, just like the food, 100%, not obtrusive but perfectly fitting, and all three wines complemented the meal, as wine should: "accompanying and supporting where possible." For those who want to spend a carefree evening with good food and excellent drinks, I can only say: "Go for it!"

21/08/2025: Wonderfully child-friendly, even in the restrooms. Delicious food and great homemade drinks. The highlight for the kids was the dandelion spritzer. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

20/09/2025: A guarantee. We've been coming for a few years now, and each time it proves to be a must-see in the valley. The goulash soup is amazing, as is the onion soup...not to mention the eggs, speck, and potatoes...simple but exceptional dishes... Congratulations

14/10/2025: The place is beautiful and tidy. There is a zip line and a slide with beautiful curves. Fun. The price is 46 euros for the package, including the zip line and slide. The price is 29 euros for the cable car.

22/08/2025: Super delicious pizza. Great dough and delicious flavor, the best we've had in Kaltern so far. The service was a bit slow, and it's just a large beer garden. All in all, really good.

I know the owners, and she works miracles in the kitchen—raw ingredients, expert preparation, high-quality flavor and authenticity, whether it's typical local dishes or dishes seasoned with essential oils and other ingredients to make them unique… He's a knowledgeable expert on the world of wine. He's always capable of providing explanations that allow you to taste the dishes and wines before you actually do. A typical mountain restaurant, well-kept, with an excellent view. Not to be associated with the usual mountain refuges. Here you eat and drink at a truly high level… medium-high prices, but perfectly balanced for the offerings. 30/08/2025: During a long trip, we chose to stop here for a break, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. We stayed overnight and had dinner, and were pleasantly surprised by everything. The cuisine is truly special: dishes prepared with great care, quality ingredients, and flavors that surprise and captivate. The owner welcomed us with kindness and helpfulness, making us feel at home. All the staff were also attentive and smiling, creating a warm and family-like atmosphere. An experience that combines hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a genuine welcome. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a stopover that will become a pleasant memory of their trip. We can't wait to return!

17/09/2025: A lovely place with a splendid veranda and rooms divided by several partitions that make the atmosphere more peaceful. The welcome and the food are good, desserts are delicious.... could be improved. Prices are medium-high. It's a shame about the service, lacking professionalism and very little attention to the customer, a feeling I had some time ago and confirmed again yesterday. The first time, a waiter, also present yesterday, not exactly young, who needed repeating, lazy and indifferent to the customers, yesterday brought us water as if he were a laborer. Also yesterday, a very well-groomed second-class man in a perfect suit and picking his nose, seats us, brings us the menus and shortly after comes to take our orders... my three guests place their orders, it's my turn, I order the paccheri, among the specials of the day, with mushrooms, shrimp and cherry tomatoes. We then order red wine and ask what they have, but the waiter remains silent, doesn't say anything, doesn't list or bring the wine list, we had to ask if what we wanted was available. The orders arrive, and while we're talking, we start having lunch. I take the first bite, start eating, and realize that the dish wasn't what I asked for. They did bring me excellent paccheri, but with wild boar, not mushrooms, shrimp, and cherry tomatoes. Not wanting to cause any controversy and since they were very good, I didn't say anything. But I wonder what professionalism is involved? If I order paccheri, saying, "Let's follow the chef's advice," and you don't say anything, I expect those. Otherwise, you should have asked how I wanted them. They're there... I would have replied, "The chef's suggestion with mushrooms, shrimp, etc." (Perhaps too busy thinking that he was supposed to finish at 2:30). The youngest of the three waiters and the waitress, on the other hand, were excellent.

15/09/2025: Fast service, even with a full restaurant on a Friday night. Very friendly staff and great food. We had pizza (the crust was a bit too thick for us), but both the whole-wheat dough and the lactose-free mozzarella were very good. Next time we'll choose the frittura or paella (looked amazing 😍).
