09/04/2026: A lovely, family-run hotel in the old town of Schlanders. Friendly staff throughout. Charmingly decorated. Large, quiet rooms. Generous breakfast buffet with regional products. Parking available. We felt very comfortable.

29/03/2026: Just come back from this wondeful place. The most amazing views from the bedrooms windows and all the common areas. We had half board and the food was amazing. Four course dinner and great choices for breakfast. We were there in the last opening week of the hotel but from the service all round you would not have been able to tell. The hotel offer a shuttle service which pick you up and drops you to whereever you need to go around the place, whether for skiing or anything else. Super fast and efficient you just call and they are there within minutes. In general all the staff from the restaurant, reception to the spa are super nice and accomodating. Family run with a personal touch. Will definitly come again!

04/03/2026: We've been going to the Hermitgae as a family for many years and it's one of my favourite hotels. Why? It's family run, big enough to have everything you need including a not huge, but swimmable decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna with stunning views. Rooms are good and service excellent and there is a friendly minibus to take you into town or the lifts always available Most people go half board - the breakfast is excellent with delicious fresh breads, home baked patisserie, hams, salamis and mountain cheeses along woth perfectly cooked eggs to order, pancakes etc, yoghurts, fresh juices - only complaint is they could do with a decent museli, but you can order properly made porrage - and the coffee, top, along with teas. The dinner this year was the best we have had, strating with a grilled veg and salad buffet with hams, smoked salmon and cold roast beef, then choices of pasta/soup course, brilliant main course and stunning desserts - they also do excellent home-made tea time pastries included Madonna itself is medium-sized, low built resort full of, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some very good cafes and shops - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good with some v demanding blacks and excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view and as long as you are not into glitzy 6* spiv hotels, Bio Hermitage is the best you can get!

23/04/2026: It was recommended to us, but it didn't live up to the promises. The price-performance ratio isn't right; you shouldn't have to pay an extra €2 for bread on a snack board.

12/10/2025: It was so good we visited twice during a recent stay in Lasa. (There were also no other places open) They had run out of tiramisu by the time we arrived both times, so get there early if you want it!

08/03/2026: The lakeside hotel is a fantastic place to stay on Lake Reschen! The host family and staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive! The spa area is wonderful, with stunning views of the lake and mountains! The interior is beautiful – especially the restaurant, bar, and spa area! Breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful! We'll definitely be back! 🙂

01/04/2026: Overall, a very nicely situated little hut, primarily for sitting outside. The selection is very good, and the service is excellent. However, it's quite expensive overall. Card payments are not accepted.

20/04/2026: Review is for the restaurant only. I am guessing the owners changed or the food and menu is significantly different in the off season. The 'local' cheese platter was very disappointing with mass produced cheese I would expect at a breakfast buffet, and the menu is very limited.

28/04/2026: Since 2020, we've dined at Lampl at least once or twice during our holidays. We also get pizzas there at least once per trip. There must be a reason for that. The food is excellent, as is the service, and the ambiance also plays a part. One of the best restaurants in the upper Vinschgau Valley. See you next time, in the last week of August 2026.

07/04/2026: Sunday lunch, two families with four children (aged 11 months to 7 years). We arrived around 11:30 a.m. on foot and approached the facility. Outside, there were two grills and tables set; if it hadn't been so windy, we might have been able to eat outside. We had, however, booked inside, a table for eight, white furs on the strange and unusual back-warming chairs... the menu was limited, which is understandable up to a point, because, yes, we're in a refuge, but it's easy to get there by car from the city, and given how the other guests at the restaurant were dressed, I'd say we were the only ones walking. Lunch was well-served; they started with a house appetizer and then continued with our order: the appetizer was impressive, with a small copper pot for polenta, the tagliatelle with game was excellent, and the egg main course was very unique and delicious. The others who were with us really enjoyed both the strangolapreti and the fish gnocchi. You could also choose a risotto and a beef ham. For dessert, you could choose between a classic strudel, a buckwheat cake, and a tiramisu. I can't comment on the prices, as we ordered two bottles of wine, which certainly increased the total. Overall, I'd give it a 7. Let's just say the hospitality was a bit lacking, but perhaps the guys are young and just need to get their bearings. Update August 2023: We returned to the refuge, this time by car, for dinner. We were looking for some cool air, and it was surprising how at such a low altitude (not even 600 meters above sea level) it could be a few degrees cooler and, above all, a pleasant cool breeze compared to the city. The menu has been expanded since my previous visit. Aperitif overlooking the city with bubbles from a well-known local winery. We tried a breaded cheese appetizer and continued with two main courses: a plate of ribs with potatoes and pork cheek with polenta. Fabulous! I'll post more photos... prices are perhaps a little higher than average. For those seeking a bit of cool, quiet, and a beautiful view, the Bindesi refuge is highly recommended!

25/01/2026: Incredible views of the Adige Valley and Trento, enhanced by the skyline of the Brenta Dolomites. The restaurant lives up to its origins as a refuge, combining hospitality, attentive service, and respect for the surrounding environment. Nature completely surrounds the structure, enhanced by multi-level terraces that allow guests to fully enjoy the view and the setting. The extremely courteous, attentive, and attentive staff guides guests through the menu and wine pairings. The highly interesting, never boring dishes showcase local products, expertly combining them. A large parking lot hidden behind the restaurant ensures accessibility to everyone. A must-try and highly recommended.

03/05/2026: Delicious food and what a beautiful location; to get there, you do have to climb a very steep hill (approx. 5 minutes), so it is not accessible by car. Parking is available at the golf course. The food is delicious and the hospitality is amazing. We have visited Waalrast 4 times now and it is always good. Thank you for the good times and the tasty food.
