23/12/2024: We stayed one night. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Perfect dinner and breakfast. Excellent quality mattresses and pillows, we slept really well. Very helpful in managing the dog in the facility. Located in the hinterland, in a small but characteristic village and with the necessary services (Pharmacy, Supermarket, shops, etc). Highly recommended!!!

21/12/2024: Very nice and friendly hostess. Good room. Everything TOP. Good and tasty breakfast. Parking options right in front of the door. The view from the breakfast table cannot be beat. We will definitely and happily come back.

04/11/2024: I can "understand" the negative reviews because it is clearly not a place for everyone, including me. But precisely because it is clearly not a place that focuses on quantity but on quality these do not make sense. First of all, it is not easy to reach but that alone makes it, in my opinion, a characteristic place like Sorano. Just as the place is characteristic and fascinating. The food is not commercial or refined but traditional, local and revisited, something which, as mentioned before, may not please everyone but I think that is not their aim, their aim is to make you discover new flavors or perhaps it would be better to say rediscover . I would also say a word about the wine list but, again as stated, it is not a place even for me who am absolutely not an expert. The person who served us was very kind, who I believe was the owner, who for a small oversight offered a glass of fine wine to a table... but, I tell this to underline that it is not a place for everyone, he probably must have regretted it when he saw it stay in the glasses :'(

31/12/2024: Yet another confirmation of the quality and tradition that this place offers. The food is always excellent, with generous portions and very high quality ingredients. The managers stand out for their attention and care towards the customer, making each visit a pleasant experience. Even though it was December 30th and there was an event in town, the place was crowded but perfectly managed, without ever creating chaos. A welcoming and well-organised environment. Highly recommended!

27/12/2024: My girlfriend and I stayed in Santa Fiora for 4 days between Christmas and New Year with the idea of ​​trying out the different restaurants in the town. The first evening I came across "Il Barilotto" and the food was so good that we ended up having dinner here every evening to try the whole menu. All truly exquisite and absolutely acceptable prices. The guys who serve in the room are uniquely friendly. You guys are number one! I hope to return soon.

01/01/2025: Excellent tavern located before an entrance door to the beautiful hilltop village of Magliano in Toscana. The dishes are truly excellent and plentiful, the service is up to the task. The place is nice and welcoming. What can I say... go and enjoy what you order, you won't regret it!

19/12/2024: All very good, beautiful and comfortable We opted for the house starters, therefore local cured meats and cheeses, the trio of first courses i.e. pici with Cinta Senese ragù, pappardelle with wild boar and tagliolini with truffle, then fried cod, wild boar stew and desserts. Abundant portions. Prices absolutely in line with the market. At Giovanna, quality is guaranteed as is the cozy and comfortable environment. She and the staff are very kind and friendly and know how to advise very well. Top

05/01/2025: Abito a Grosseto e questo locale è uno dei miei preferiti per la pizza. L’ambiente è molto particolare e ben curato, il personale gentile e la pizza davvero ottima. Nelle serate di punta il servizio rallenta un po’, ma niente di drammatico. Si trova subito fuori da Grosseto e dispone di un ampio parcheggio. Nella bella stagione si può cenare all’aperto. Complimenti ragazzi!

02/11/2024: A corner of peace surrounded by nature - Highly recommended! If you are looking for a place to relax and disconnect from the frenzy of the city, "Il Cornacchino" is the ideal choice. The structure is simple and welcoming, and the staff is always kind and helpful, ready to make you feel at home. We had a wonderful stay, and the horseback riding experience was truly magical. The walk in the woods, accompanied by trained and passionate guides, is much more than a simple ride: before leaving they offered us an introductory lesson on the horse, helping us to feel more confident and fully enjoy the experience. Perfect for both couples and families. For the restaurant, they offer a fixed menu with simple and genuine dishes, and you just need to report any dietary needs to receive personalized dishes. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, both sweet with jams made by the farm, and savory. “Il Cornacchino” is a place not to be missed for those looking for a regenerating escape into nature. We will definitely be back!

03/11/2024: Room which is accessed through a lovely, well-kept garden. The room inside is made up of two rooms, one of which is decidedly insufficiently heated. Dishes not up to the standard of Tuscan tradition, tasteless and unimaginative. Quality/price ratio superior to local standards. I apologize, perhaps the cold has made my opinion more edgy than I would have liked.

27/10/2024: Best meal we’ve had in Italy so far! All of the restaurants in Magliano were booked up so our hotel booked us in at Orto219 and I’m so happy they did! We ordered the pici with pumpkin and guincale - so delicious and unlike anything we’ve had in Italy so far, and, based on our servers recommendation, the tortelli stuffed with spinach and ricotta, topped with ragu. Wow! ’m so glad he suggested this, it was fantastic! We also had the lamb and Cinghale cacciatore and a side of potatoes and a half litre of the house wine. Both dishes were perfect! We definitely ordered too much so we happily took what we couldn’t finish to go but if this were my last meal on Earth, that would be fine with me. Have a meal here and consider yourself lucky! Thank you for an outstanding experience!

29/10/2024: I accidentally dropped by for lunch. I took filtered water, Pici with tomato and a Maremmana stew with baked onions and a coffee. All good, satisfactory rations, he forgot the onions, then brought them almost when I had finished the stew, the coffee was poor. But the surprise was the price €37. Although good, I ate simply, a first course, a second course with coffee. But aren't you ASHAMED?

20/11/2024: Capitati qui a caso con un amico lungo il nostro ciclo viaggio abbiamo avuto la fortuna di cenare in quello che poi si è rivelato davvero un ottimo ristorante, dai primi ai secondi passando per vino e dolci davvero tutto superlativo, le costine d'agnello alla scottadito erano "commoventi". Rapporto prezzo qualità davvero eccezionale, super consigliato.

19/11/2024: Having ended up here by chance with a friend along our travel cycle, we were lucky enough to have dinner in what turned out to be a truly excellent restaurant, from the first courses to the second courses, including the wine and desserts, all truly superb, the lamb ribs with finger steak they were "moving". Truly exceptional value for money, highly recommended.
