02/05/2025: First of all, whoever gave under 5 stars to this place should be ashamed of themselves, 'no beer on tap' 'dirty bathroom' absolutely ridiculous.. whoever is reading this just visit, it's 40 years old Sicilian family business, daily they heat up the oven with real wood and you can smell it around the whole block, Italian news playing in tv, most beautiful old couple and their son.. one of the best meals in my life. Newspaper clippings of mafia police car bombing on the wall. No words, if you are reading this pay a visit, opens at around 7 in the evening when the oven is hot. Ask for wine recommendations the son knows all and is expert on Belgian beers as well (do not expect them to sell all the old bottles around though, as they are very expensive and restaurant is local.) Prices are most fair and very old school atmosphere in general, should you be traditional family restaurant aficionado this cannot be skipped. City is full of restaurants to serve you tourist trap food and wine, but this one is for the one who appreciates Sicilian family food. AVE MARIA whoever is reading this review may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you live with ease, may all beings awaken to the light of their true nature.

23/05/2025: I was with friends looking for a place to have lunch. I came across this place in the center, nice aesthetics but full of doves. I ordered a kebab sandwich without salad, it was delivered cold, even though they had reheated it before delivering it, inedible, I left half of it. Lunch was saved by the bread, good and soft, and the chips! Good price/quality ratio, shame about the kebab that seemed frozen while eating it. I'm sorry I left a good part of it on the plate. A friend had even asked to reheat the sandwich further, but when it came back it was always cold!

13/05/2025: It was the worse place where i eat..we was 4 peoples company and for all us food was terrible, aperol from market not make in the place, pizza and all else food was only flour…not recommended!

07/04/2025: I had rosticceria, it was really delicious! Special mention for the crepes: super good, and above all extremely generously filled! We put them everywhere because there are so many, it’s a real pleasure. Honestly, I recommend it without hesitation if you are in the area.

08/01/2025: sono stato insieme a mia moglie in questo locale all'apparenza molto carino. e con una buona accoglienza. Ma veniamo alle dolenti note: Pizza molliccia, antipasto freddo. Quando l'ho fatto notare, la proprietaria si è rivolta con toni sgarbati, senza prendere in considerazione le nostre rimostranze. Il cliente va accolto con cortesia, in caso contrario, cambiate mestiere.

28/09/2024: Let me start by saying that I am reviewing an event. The location is very suggestive and their specialties are beer and Bavarian cuisine. However, as stated, we chose them to celebrate the girl's communion and the organization was somewhat questionable, starters were poor, badly divided at the tables and with very little variety, excellent first course, questionable second course. In the end, for reasons of "consideration", cake served together with the fruit plate. The expectations were very different, given their premises. Sorry.

13/05/2025: Our experience in Mazzarò at Villa Bianca was not bad but not great either. Our stay lasted three days. The structure is stuck in the sixties: when we arrived the elevator does not work, in the bathroom the shower door was broken and the window had to be left strictly closed to prevent the smells from the vent of the external kitchen hood from coming in. The elevator problem (in the middle of August by the way) is not so much for us but for the elderly people, we adapted. Important thing: the small hotel parking is available and is located in the highest area reachable via a climb and from there you enter the hotel via the stairs that lead to the beautiful terrace of the hotel, furthermore the hotel only has 4 parking spaces. Despite the hotel being dated the cleaning staff is exquisite: very sweet ladies and attentive to cleanliness. Very important! The international breakfast is discreet, supervised by attentive staff. The location of the hotel is strategic below you have ISOLA BELLA and to the left of the hotel the cable car that takes you to Taormina. Surely the hotel if well valued could significantly increase its level and prices. For our vacation the balance was good! Rating 6.5

09/05/2025: Unfortunately an outdated hotel, a major renovation is needed!! Most of the staff are friendly and the cleaning team of the rooms really does their best, the room was very tidy every day. Unfortunately it is always very busy here, only if you like the beach it is easy, to go to Toarmina you have a cable car which costs €10 per return ticket. We will certainly not return here.

24/05/2025: When you have half board you expect to have the right to a place at the table for dinner and instead??? They don't even know how to count and when I pointed this out to a gentleman who I don't want to describe because it's not possible, he started shouting, something absurd and unacceptable, then as if that wasn't enough, loud music, it's 11.14pm, tomorrow I have a busy day since I'm a bus driver and I have to drive for about 700 km to bring home a school group on an educational trip, these are very serious things, people have the right to rest, not everyone has tomorrow it's Sunday and this can compromise everyone's safety, this is not possible, then when tragedies happen it's the driver's fault!!!!

04/12/2024: Absolutely recommended. The location is extraordinary; if you want to enjoy an aperitif in the early evening, you will be struck by a simply magnificent panorama, indescribable in words. The food is excellent and of unquestionable freshness, while the waiting staff proves to be expert and courteous..

02/03/2025: We had dinner here on our mini trip to Sicily. The location is excellent, right on the piazza just opposite the duomo. It is possible to sit outside. We had dinner around 8 o'clock and that time around the place wasn't crowded at all. We got our food really quickly. Later the restaurant was really busy. The staff was very polite and friendly, always smiling. I had the best limoncello spritz ever. We had pasta, all of us. Pasta in Italy is considred starter but the portions were enough for us. The bill at the end surprised us as we only paid 48 eur for a drink, two bottles of water and 3 pastas. We were really happy and content with this restaurant.

23/02/2025: Avevamo prenotato un tavolo per le 20 30. Dopo un'ora e mezza dall'ordinazione delle pizze ci comunicavano che c'era ancora da attendere altri 20 minuti. Nel frattempo avevano già servito il tavolo accanto al nostro che aveva ordinato dopo di noi. Alle nostre lamentele, invece di scusarsi del loro ritardo e del disguido, ci è stato risposto che già ci stavano facendo un favore ma se volevamo potevamo andare a mangiare un panino da qualche altra parte e infatti questa abbiamo fatto. Vergognosi! Non meritavano un altro secondo della nostra presenza, meglio abbandonarli senza altre discussioni. P..S. di fronte abbiamo mangiato un panino buonissimo e siamo stati serviti con gentilezza e velocità.

15/05/2025: Llamamos aquí por un par de copas solamente. Hay un montón de asientos exteriores con sombra frente al paseo marítimo. El servicio era rápido, y las bebidas eran una buena relación calidad-precio. Hay un ambiente informal relajado en el bar, y disfruté de la música de fondo. Los bocadillos traídos por la camarera eran muy sabrosos, también.
