The food is neither good nor bad, with limited choice and basic items for the high price.

19/03/2026: We stopped for lunch on the way from Brindisi to Casarano near Gallipoli. The weather was awful, with rain and a cool wind. The restaurant was practically empty at 1:00 PM, except for the two of us and a couple of French women. My orecchiette with tomato sauce and sausage were excellent, and my wife had seafood pasta. Then grilled vegetables for me and mixed salad for her. Beer for me and water for her. Dessert for her was the zeppola di San Giuseppe, which was very good. Bill?? 60 euros, but we were satisfied with our lunch and ready to head back south.
22/12/2025: I highly recommend this restaurant, they take great care and attention to customer satisfaction, they offer house specialties, freshly made pasta, even gluten-free!!!

15/11/2025: For those who say that the pizza arrives cold, they are telling a lie because this place uses a mobile oven for transport and the pizzas remain very hot until delivery, so they are only telling lies.

22/03/2026: A beautiful location, with majestic star-shaped vaults. We ate well, especially thanks to the all-you-can-eat option, which allows you to choose from a variety of appetizers, first courses, second courses, burgers, and pizzas. The staff was courteous and professional.
14/01/2026: All you can eat evening for €24 you can order whatever you want several times, appetizers with mixed fruit, very very good meatballs, arrosticini, platter of cold cuts and cheeses, first courses, I recommend the one with porcini mushrooms, roast with salad or hamburger sandwiches, pizzas in short everything against the diet 😅 kind and helpful service 👍👏

14/04/2026: I've had the pleasure of stopping at Martinucci's many times, and each time it's an experience worth sharing.
The bartenders' service is simply impeccable: Mattia, along with his colleague (unfortunately, I don't know his name), manage to transform even a simple coffee into a small moment of pleasure. The coffee is always excellent, prepared with care and attention, while my colleagues who prefer macchiatos are consistently impressed by the creamy, perfect milk foam.
One detail that truly makes you smile is the artistic touch: Mattia's colleague even creates a little heart out of chocolate powder, making every cup not only delicious, but also beautiful to look at.

29/01/2026: Behind the city's main square, which acts as a curtain, enveloped in an Ozpetekian atmosphere, lies one of this area's finest restaurants. 'Povero' has a natural elegance, nothing affected, like sirtaki played in a garden at night. The cuisine is as perfect as cashmere on the skin, the flavors rounded and refined. The staff is professional, with a kindness that seemed to have dissipated over time. You can always find something in this restaurant. I think it's one of the most refined and beautiful places in this wonderful land. Angela, the owner, has created a rarefied atmosphere of delicacy and magic. It's an essential stop for anyone thinking of visiting this city!

26/01/2026: A perfect evening in great company. We shared dinner with friends, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent food.
Every dish was carefully prepared, from the appetizers to the first courses, from the pizzas to the main courses, and even the dessert.
The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. We felt at home. We'll be back soon.
25/10/2025: Pleasant atmosphere, traditional but high-quality cuisine and pizza. Noise within limits, considering the size of the room. Careful and fairly wide wine selection.
Positive note (for my needs): non-alcoholic beer is also served.

10/04/2026: A Neapolitan pizza in Salento? A' Verace in Tricase (LE) is definitely an excellent choice. I'm not Neapolitan by birth, but by adoption. Therefore, I can boldly say that the pizza at A' Verace pizzeria is very close to the taste of the authentic Neapolitan pizza you can eat in Naples (though not at all pizzerias!). The wait staff isn't very experienced, but on a Saturday night, as you know, the people serving you might not be the best. However, they're all very friendly, and that makes up for their lack of experience.

We ordered at 8:00 PM for 9:00 PM, and now it's 10:00 PM and no one's showing up for delivery. Never again. Don't order, the food never arrives on time, and when it arrives, it's cold.
20/12/2025: I've ordered takeout pizzas more than once, and each time the delay was at least an hour.
The last time, however, they outdid themselves. Once the pizzas were supposed to arrive at 9:45 PM at the latest, despite a reminder for the usual enormous delay (10:25 PM), they apologized, saying that the delivery person had already left and would be arriving any minute. The evening ended with no pizza received and no advance notice of the missed delivery.
Congratulations to the owners and staff for their punctuality and dedication to their work!
