When in Puglia, you must try the puccia at least once, this time also with veal ragu – we recommend it as another tried-and-true Italian street food. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and a great location.

We started with an appetizer of cuttlefish and potatoes with pea cream, followed by spaghetti cacio e pepe with fried mussels (fantastic), and an excellent fritto misto with baked potatoes. The atmosphere is relaxed and classy, ​​and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Most importantly: they accept dogs and make them feel welcome!

Another great asset is its location on the island of San Nicola: compared to the more chaotic San Domino, here you'll find a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a leisurely dinner. 18/07/2026: Pizza with friends was too greasy, and the crust was thick and undercooked. Very good table service. The outdoor space is very spacious, with plenty of seating, perhaps too much, especially designed for long tables, but it's really chaotic and noisy. Not for me.

14/10/2025: A small brewery, it's amazing to think of being able to drink beer directly where it's produced. The beer is truly high-quality, and you can immediately sense the skill and professionalism they put into producing it. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Angelo, who was so kind and welcoming, showing us around and explaining all the stages of production. He's a highly qualified person. We spent a harmonious and cheerful evening, making us feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

29/07/2026: We've been customers of Spicchi d'Arte in Gagliano del Capo for years, and we wanted to try their venue in Specchia. We ate two pizzas and drank some wine. The location is beautiful, with a garden and an old olive oil mill inside. Service was so-so: there were no wine glasses. How is that possible? There were only three of us at the table. There were no hand towels in the bathroom. Both pizzas were burnt on the edges. The price for two was €38. One of the two pizzas was €16. When we asked about the glasses at checkout, no answer was given. I'd go back, but please buy the glasses and don't burn the pizzas. It's a shame to make such a fool of yourself; it wouldn't take much.
