13/02/2026: Taiyo 5 on Corso Toscana is an all-you-can-eat AYCE/sushi restaurant with a fairly varied menu. The quality here is average: nothing extraordinary, but the dishes are substantial, and it remains a valid option in the area. Suitable for a simple dinner without too high expectations.

05/01/2026: We went for lunch by chance and had a great time. We also decided to go for New Year's Eve. Besides the staff being really kind and attentive to every request, we had a really good meal. The place is small but cozy. We will definitely be back.

If I receive a dirty glass (which can happen), I expect the server to check the glasses before bringing new ones to prevent it from happening again! The ambiance was simple, and everything seemed a bit old and outdated (the menus should be updated and replaced). The pizza was good, and the house wine was just that—house wine. All in all, 3/5 seems reasonable to me. I don't think I'll come back.

28/12/2025: My husband and I had dinner on Saturday evening at this elegant restaurant located in the Starhotel Majestic in Turin. The dishes we chose were excellent, both in presentation and in quality. The only flaw was the octopus, which we thought was a bit tough. The quality/price ratio was reasonable. Special thanks to our waitress, Miss Valentina D., who served us with skill and professionalism.

23/11/2025: Embarrassing. Besides the fact that you can no longer order yogurt at the counter and then sit down—you're practically forced to order it at the table, paying more, with fewer toppings to choose from, and even receiving a smaller quantity—they now only give one packet of sugar per person. We witnessed a truly horrifying scene: the girl had ordered takeout yogurt, while the rest of the family also wanted to eat while seated. They didn't let them sit because the girl had already ordered their takeout. And as if that weren't enough, we also saw two elderly people being moved to another table for no real reason. Absurd.

12/04/2026: I ordered a mini gelato with just a scoop of one flavor, and they charged me the same as a regular cone even though they said it would be cheaper. Terrible. Losing a customer for €2 makes no sense.

27/04/2026: Shameful Business Plan: Zero Transparency Unacceptable experience. Monday morning, with the restaurant empty, I was offered table service with no transparency about costs. The result was a €9 bill for a savory brioche, stained with soy. It's absurd to apply an individual markup to each piece instead of a single "cover charge" like in a restaurant: an endless taxation that punishes the customer with every order. Applying "high-traffic" rates in the deserted setting of a Monday morning is pure commercial greed, a system that even embarrasses the staff. Prices must be clearly displayed and communicated on every product, even in the window display. Treating customers (and tourists) with this "surprise effect" is bad publicity for the restaurant and for Italy. I won't be returning: respect for the customer is worth more than an easy profit.

15/04/2026: Excellent food. But they don't know how to treat customers. Tensions arise between the son and the father, who offers a helping hand. The mother is an excellent cook. Little respect for the customer, unless they're part of the Balon circle.

24/05/2026: Excellent trattoria with authentic cuisine, generous portions, and friendly staff. Simple but delicious dishes, a family atmosphere, and fair prices. Friendly service, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere. A lovely discovery, highly recommended.

17/05/2026: Terrible. The reviews written by other customers before us are absolutely true... I don't know why I didn't listen to them. The owners are too clever, they don't have a menu with prices and they tell you everything verbally, including the final bill. You spend too much and you eat too little. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

22/05/2026: My daughter chose this restaurant, which also has a play area for children! We had a really good time, pampered and relaxed while my daughter played on the trampoline. If we're in Pinerolo again, we'll be happy to return.

04/04/2026: The restaurant looks inviting but it was a real disappointment. I thought any pizzeria in Italy would be a hit. Our pizza was equivalent to a frozen supermarket pizza. Small in size, thick white base, covered with tomato puree, the burrata was small in the middle of the pizza & my husband & I agreed that it was low quality, more like Philadelphia cream cheese. Two small basil leaves were added which was laughable when the description of the pizza was with basil rather than it being a garnish. The upside was we did laugh a lot at what we were eating and we put it down to experience. If you decide to go after reading this, I would strongly recommend trying to see what others are eating before ordering.
