20/11/2024: We got married on Sunday 8 September, a difficult day meteorologically speaking, yet the Vecchio Castagno fulfilled all our wishes! Between the beauty of the location, the attention to every little detail, the attention, the kindness of the staff and the beautiful "plan B", the rain literally took a back seat. We entrusted ourselves to Maria Grazia and Roberta knowing, from the first moment we met them, that we would be in excellent hands, they were impeccable, kind, helpful, unique!! The lovely place and the excellent and plentiful food, excellent quality/price! What can I say, we would like to get married again to relive all this ❤️ Simply thank you for making our day unique and unforgettable, we really couldn't ask for more!

19/04/2025: I love the late hours (when it is difficukt to find even a 'pizzeria'), the hearty food, the generous portion, the excellent beer (of which there is a wide choice of 'draught'), the fast and attentive service. L'enfant prodige, what else ?

01/04/2025: The outdoor terrace where you can eat is very nice. If accompanied by a pleasant outside temperature it is truly pleasant. Convenient parking too, digital menu... in short, all you can eat, fast, pleasant and of excellent quality. Average price (around 15 euros plus drinks). Pleasant, clean, open kitchen.

04/02/2025: L’accoglienza nella semplicità e la cordialità assoluta della titolare con attenzione persino nel soddisfare la mia piccola compagna Asia(ciwuava) !!! Piatti della tradizione eseguiti con un tocco di modernità e soprattutto di freschezza considerando che la location è adiacente alla stessa gastronomia. Location molto rilassante e perfettamente arredata che ti veste addosso il piacere di trascorrere lo stacco del mezzodì in un modo gradevolissimo!!! Lo consiglio anche perché essendo mestierante da anni nella ristorazione penso di essere certo delle belle sensazioni che ho provato in questa piccola perla di Tortona!!!

07/04/2025: ¡Qué velada maravillosa tuvimos en Lo Stornello! Estuvimos en Stresa por 5 noches y esta fue de lejos nuestra comida favorita de la semana. Emilio nuestro camarero era maravilloso y nos cuidó mucho durante toda la noche. El menú es maravilloso y delicioso. Soy vegana, y realmente aprecio que tuvieran una serie de opciones MUY creativas para que yo eligiera. Mi esposo, un carnívoro de pleno derecho, también encontró que los platos eran deliciosos y creativos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante a cualquiera. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra noche allí.

We were lucky enough to get there after nine in the evening, and we are truly grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to have a delicious dinner at such a late hour. The service is beyond praise: attentive, friendly, but at the same time completely unobtrusive. Special thanks to Signor Dominico for his recommendations - they were impeccable. The beef was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. The pasta puttanesca was a real symphony of flavors: rich, spicy, with a bright character. And the semifreddo... it was a dessert delight, light, refined, on par with the best gastronomic impressions. It was a truly exceptional dinner and an amazing experience that we will definitely want to return to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and see you soon!

05/04/2025: The atmosphere is quite noisy, the service is punctual but not very friendly. Professional but not polite. The food is not bad, especially we enjoyed the rice noodles with vegetables.

02/04/2025: Today I left the museum inside the Mole late, and I had read good reviews of this tavern, so I arrived there around 1:40 pm. Greeted by kindness and friendliness and surrounded by the aromas of the typical northern tavern, I had lunch with a plate of spaghetti with seafood that to call exceptional would be an understatement. I also had the classic dessert of Turin, the bonet. But it was so inviting that there was no time to photograph the dish. I will definitely have to return to Sinella in Turin.

30/03/2025: I don't understand why they try to sell fish! The meat was excellent, both lamb and raw tartare. Unfortunately they do not use raw materials for quality fish. All frozen fish impossible calamari (looks like a Chinese restaurant). They should focus on Piedmontese cuisine in which they are strong but insist on fish where they are truly poor
