For dessert, try the baked gelato. Besides being delicious, the tableside preparation is original, complete with a final "flambaïté."
11/01/2026: We went there today for a baptism. They're excellent. Excellent food, generous portions, and very friendly and helpful.

06/12/2025: Excellent gelato. Their special flavors are really good. They're a mix of almonds, hazelnuts, amaretti biscuits, and other delicious flavors!
08/11/2025: One star only because the ice cream is very good. Even though the closing time on the door is 10:00 PM, by 9:20 PM they're no longer welcome, and after 9:25 PM everything is closed.

25/01/2026: We hosted an aperitif here for a 50th birthday. The table was always full of delicious food, and the staff was always present and available to answer any questions. Good music and good food—what more could you ask for?
An honorable mention goes to the owner, who is truly passionate about his work and always willing to chat with the guests. Highly recommended!

16/12/2025: Years ago in Cassano, people would go to San Giuseppe, where there was a bar, play bocce, and dance outside in the summer. Today, there's this wonderful Grotto del Sorriso, which, in addition to its important social impact, is a truly valuable restaurant. You can eat well at reasonable prices, and the service is exceptional. You can also buy the cooperative's products, and the proceeds help the young people who, despite their varying challenges, work together to deliver excellent results. Considering Cassano's limited restaurant options, the Grotto is a place that combines ethics, variety, flavor, pleasure, and indulgence!

04/03/2026: We were there on a Saturday evening, so it was very, very crowded. Consequently, the noise level was also quite high, and if you'd like to have a quiet conversation, I wouldn't recommend going on a weekend. But the food was fantastic. It tasted freshly made and looked amazing. The prices are a bit higher than you'd expect from a sushi restaurant in Italy, but you definitely get much better quality. I'd say it's the best sushi in the area.

Be careful, though: the prices aren't typical Chinese restaurants because the menu is à la carte.

27/02/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Il Viconilo del Paninenia, and a big part of that was thanks to Vlad.
From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He took the time to explain the different sandwich options and gave great recommendations.
The sandwiches were absolutely excellent—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and clearly made with care.
You can taste the quality in every bite. Vlad made sure everything arrived promptly and checked in just the right amount to ensure we were happy without being intrusive.
If you’re visiting, I highly recommend asking for Vlad. Great service and outstanding sandwiches made for a memorable meal.

26/12/2025: Weekday lunch for two. Good selection of dishes with a variety of starters, main courses, and side dishes. The atmosphere is well-maintained and refined. Professional and welcoming service. The lunch menu price is in line with other restaurants. The first course was gnocchi and the second course was meat, both delicious and beautifully plated.

08/03/2026: I was a bit disappointed. We were at a company lunch and I expected impeccable service, but no. When I was serving the wine, I thought I'd be the first to be served, since I was the only woman at the table. The food was average, the steak was a bit rubbery, but I ate it anyway. I often go to the bistro and I have to say it's much better than the restaurant.
12/02/2026: It's a truly beautiful place. It's become something of an institution in Brescia.
I find it slightly more expensive than average, but it must be said that they cater to a certain clientele.
