21/05/2025: I went to try an alternative breakfast and I was particularly and pleasantly surprised. Everything was very good, both in terms of food and drink. The place is cared for in the smallest details and is a little different from the usual, I would recommend it.

02/05/2025: For my taste, the cappuccino was not to my liking, the taste of burnt coffee was too strong, I asked for an empty brioche, it arrived filled with pistachio, an apple tart, in my opinion, the pastry was too hard. Too bad it was my point of reference for breakfast.

19/05/2025: Incredible, discovered by chance but we won't let them go. Excellent welcome and service, amazing location, a corner of paradise in the historic center. MaltusFaber draft beer and amazing cuisine. Fantastic spaghetti with anchovies and cherry tomatoes, perfectly cooked porchettato chicken with an exquisite flavor, exceptional marinaretta "La Coccagna", balanced panfocaccia with distinguishable flavors that married perfectly. Aperitif with fried anchovies and unsurpassed cuculli, homemade fruit tart dessert and amazing birramisu. All in a location that makes you feel like you're in a corner of paradise despite the historic center being chaotic. We'll be back soon, thank you!

19/05/2025: Incredibile, scoperti per caso ma non li molliamo più. Eccellente accoglienza e servizio, location pazzesca, un angolo di paradiso nel centro storico. Birra alla spina MaltusFaber ed una cucina pazzesca. Spaghetti acciughe e pomodorini fantastici, pollo porchettato cotto alla perfezione dal sapore squisito, marinaretta “La Coccagna” eccezionale, panfocaccia equilibrata dai sapori distinguibili che si sposavano alla perfezione. Aperitivo con acciughe fritte e cuculli insuperabili, dessert crostata di frutta fatta in casa e birramisù pazzeschi. Il tutto in una location che ti fa sentire in un angolo di paradiso nonostante il centro storico sia invece caotico. Torneremo presto, grazie!

Attentive and fast service (even though it was Saturday evening and the place was full), excellent choice of wines, well cooked and good quality food, I gave 4 stars only because the portions were a little small, given that they would be fine for us, but if you are a good eater they could be a little scarce. Even the glass, an extra finger would make the difference, but we are in Zena.... Anyway, well done, we'll be back when we have little appetite! Of course I'm joking

14/05/2025: He runs a lot of places for lunch on weekdays. Generous portions. Lots of noise, but there are many of you with the workers in a hurry. Excellent grilled meat, with excellent chicken thighs, beef fillet sausage and pork ribs but, even better, without hot dogs. Not much bread. Slip on the trofie with Genoese pesto: according to the foreign guest who hoped to eat them Genoese style as it should be, there was cream.

03/05/2025: We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

28/04/2025: I gave my parents a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully choosing a specific tasting menu, mainly based on fish, present on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift and, considering the significant expense (around 400 euros for two people), I expected the agreed menu to be respected. With great regret I discovered that, at the time of dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any warning. Even today, on the restaurant's official website, the menu I had chosen months ago is online, which can easily mislead those who want to give a precise experience with attention to detail, as in my case. However, I would like to underline that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined environment and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it is incorrect and not very transparent not to update the online menu or, at least, not to notify the customer of any changes, especially in a high-end restaurant context where expectations - rightly - are very high. A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.

22/04/2025: Very good focaccia but equally good farinata. Finally a light farinata cooked well and without being drowned in oil.

08/04/2025: Very good focaccia. Nothing to say. Excellent for a snack or a quick snack. You don't have to wait to eat it, also because if you wait too long the result is absolutely not the same...cooked and eaten!!

16/02/2025: Stiamo mangiando le chicche con sugo di acciughe e pomodorini da asporto seduti sul muretto....che dire? Pasta stupendamente buona, confezionata con una comodissima ciotola da tale away. Esperienza da ripetere e ripetere.

30/12/2024: Ottimi sughi pronti da portare a casa,pesto veramente squisito come il sugo di noci. Grande varietà di pasta fresca, gnocchi,e ripiena. Li cuociono anche in piatti pronti da gustare in spiaggia.
